Abstract

The basic human needs, such as sleep quality, often take for granted that low sleep quality among adolescents could affect various health problems. One of the factors correlated with sleep quality in adolescents is the use of social media. This study aimed to identify the association between social media utilization and sleep quality among adolescents. The study used a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional design. The Social Networking Time Use Scale and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index questionnaires were used based upon validity and reliability test. A Cross-sectional study was used with a convenience sampling frame by recruiting 188 adolescents. The analysis technique used was Chi-Square. The results showed that respondents with a high intensity of social media users who have good sleep quality were 29 (15, 4%) respondents, and those who have low sleep quality were 66 (35.1%) respondents. It revealed a significant association between the intensity of social media use and sleep quality in adolescents (X2 = 27,564a,  df = 1, p< 0,05). It suggests that adolescents should reduce the intensity of social media use to improve their sleep quality.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in children are still common, including malnutrition and overweight and obesity. If this problem is not resolved it will have an impact on lack of learning achievement. This study aims to identify the nutritional status of elementary school children and their correlation with learning achievement in mathematics. This cross sectional study used a sample of 56 children in grade 1 elementary school. Nutritional status assessment is based on the Republic of Indonesia's Minister of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2020 concerning Child Anthropometry Standards. Category and threshold (Z score) nutritional status of children based on body mass index according to age (IMT / U) of children aged 5-18 years. Learning achievement is measured by the report card grades for mathematics subjects. Data analysis with Pearson product moment test and Chi-square. The results showed the nutritional status of children; thin: 6 people (10.7%), normal: 37 people (66.1%), fat: 4 people (7.1%) and obese: 9 people (16.1%). The average value of mathematics subjects is 93.16 ± 3.677. There is a relationship between nutritional status and learning achievement in mathematics (p = 0,000). Nutrition problems in children both undernutrition and over nutrition (overweight and obese) need to be addressed so that learning achievement in the future will be optimal.

Smoking is deviant behavior that often affects adolescents and is addictive. The prevalence of smoking among adolescents is relatively high and harms health, so prevention efforts are needed.  This study aims to know the smokescreen program's effectiveness on smoking prevention and cessation among students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Banda Aceh. The method used in this research is a quantitative quasi-experimental model with a non-equivalent control group design. This study's population was all students of class VII and VIII in two Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Banda Aceh, totaling 1221 students, and the sample was selected by purposive sampling technique as many as 302 respondents. Data was collected online using Zoom and Google Form and then analyzed using SPSS with univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed differences in effectiveness in smoking prevention and cessation (ρ-value 0.000 <0.05) in students before and after being given the smokescreen program intervention. The majority of students have strong self-efficacy, as much as 86.8%. Thus, this study also concluded that the smokescreen program effectively prevented and stopped smoking behavior among students. For this reason, schools can facilitate students in increasing knowledge about cigarettes by watching videos and playing games so that students' self-efficacy increases.

Statistical test using Wilcoxon and Kendal's tau.  The univariate results in this study were 45.3% male and 54.7% female, 43.8% information media from Radio/Tv / Internet. The results of the bivariate analysis were differences before and after health promotion (p-value = 0.000), but there was no significant relationship between vlog media and changes in knowledge levels (p-value = 0.249). The strategy to increase knowledge about HIV / AIDS in adolescents needs to be modified according to several other types of media so that the effectiveness of each media can be seen clearly.

Abstract

The Corona Virus has become a world health problem in early 2020. Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a disease that has never been previously identified in humans. Health workers who are at the forefront of handling Covid-19 have high psychological disorders, one of which is anxiety. The purpose is to identify the factors that influence anxiety in health workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The databases used include Google Scholar, PubMed Central and ResearchGate. 528 articles were found based on selected keywords, the number of articles after duplication-checking was 164 articles. Then screening was carried out according to the inclusion criteria (n = 20) and a total of 144 articles were eliminated because they did not match the inclusion criteria. The number of articles following the due diligence test (n = 10) and 10 articles were eliminated because they did not meet the due diligence requirements. Then 10 articles were taken for review. The results showed that the factors that influence anxiety in health workers are gender, age, family status, availability of PPE, knowledge, contact with COVID-19 patients, chronic disease, a physical and psychological workload that threatens the health, cooperation between colleagues, working in an infectious isolation ward. Psychological disorders such as anxiety have long-term impacts and can affect the work efficiency of health workers. If this anxiety is not managed properly, it can affect the performance of health workers in dealing with Covid-19.
