Abstract

Life Quality of an infant is a multidimensional concept that involves physical, emotional, mental, social and other behavioural elements and their function, One of the efforts to maintain the quality of the infant is by field massage. Baby massage is one of the stimulus touches which is also a safe and comfortable form of communication with an infant. The objective of this research to analyze the influence of field massage on the life quality of infants with hyperbilirubinemia and under phototherapy. This research was a quasi-experimental research with one group pre-test-posttest design. with 35 respondents taken as the sample. The data was collected through direct observation on infants life quality before and after the field massage treatment with the assistant of the observation sheet. Life Quality observed include body weight, temperature, pulse, sleep duration, crying time, nighttime awakening intensity. This field massage is done 2x / day (morning and night) within 10 minutes for 2 days in certain areas namely the face chest, stomach, back. The results showed the average infant weight before the massage was 3056.74 after the massage field 3097.14, the baby's temperature before field massage was 36,640 after field massage 36,974, for infant pulse before field massage the average was 142.57 after field massage 141.66, the length of the infant sleep/day before average field massage 14.252 after field massage 16.765, the average intensity of getting up at night/day before the massage field 4.14 after massage field 3.0, the average length of crying of infant/day before the massage field 2,085 after the massage field 1,464. The results of the research showed that the Wilcoxon match pair test for the life quality of infant variable obtained p-value = 0,000 (α = 0.05) meaning that there was a significant effect of field massage on the life quality of infant with hyperbilirubinemia under phototherapy.

Abstract

The demand safe for nursing sarvices, effective nursing services, excellent service, high standard of clinical services, causes nurses to be in a state of prolonged stress. The prolonged stress experienced by nurses will result in burnout which will directly impact the quality of care and quality of nursing services performed. if this is allowed to continue it will have an impact on the future of the hospital. This study aimed to know the relationship between interprofessional collaboration with the incidence of burnout in the hospital. This study used a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach to time. The population in this study were nurses in IGD, ICU, and ICCU. Interprofessional collaboration had no relationship with nurse burnout (p> 0.05). The results of the analysis showed that nurses experienced burnout because it was influenced by other factors such as work environment, workload and work stress. Further analysis from the researcher shows that good interprofessional collaboration is needed in improving the performance of nurses but it is not the only factor that can affect nurses experiencing burnout.

Abstract

Caring for People with Dementia (PwD) has various negative effects that are detrimental to caregivers. The existence of Positive Aspects of Caregiving (PAC) makes the experience of caring for PwD more positive, valuable and protects caregivers from various negative impacts while caring for PwD. This study aims to explain the factors associated with PAC. These literature reviews were accessed from six databases (Scopus, CINAHL, Science Direct, ProQuest, PubMed, and SAGE Journal), with the keywords factor, positive aspects of caregiving, Dementia/ Alzheimer’s, during January 2021, limited to 2016-2020, and in English. A total of 318 journals were selected using PRISMA, then leaving 16 journals to be analyzed using The Joanna Briggs Institution Checklist. Sixteen journals were analyzed and divided into two themes, factors that affect PAC (n = 9) and factors affected by PAC (n = 7). Factors that affect PAC are caregiver characteristics, care-recipient characteristics, and social support. Factors affected by PAC are caregiving outcomes. Factors that increase PAC are lower education level, good social support, severe BPSD, shorter duration of care, and relationship with care-recipient (except spouse), and gender (male). The mediating factors that increase PAC are unmet needs and reciprocal filial piety. Factors that lower PAC are higher education level, the use of avoidance coping, and older age. We found inconsistencies in caregiver marital status and relationship with care-recipient because the finding still uncertain.

Abstract

Postpartum is a condition in which the reproductive organs return to normal which takes 6 weeks. The feeling of discomfort in postpartum mothers occurs because of the sensation of pain that is often complained of. One way to increase comfort for postpartum mothers is by providing non-pharmacological therapies, namely massage and listening to music. Music can provide impulses or stimuli that can override the pain signals. The literature review aims to describe the type of music that can increase the comfort of postpartum mothers. The method used is a literature review study. The database used from several journals and articles with a search process through Pubmed, Proquest, Springlink, Scopus, Google Scholar. The criteria for inclusion in this search were the year the articles were published, starting from 2010 to 2020. The type of classical music that has a medical connection is Mozart's music. Mozart music with a frequency of 40-60 Hz, tempo 60-80 bpm. Music therapy is given for approximately 20-30 minutes to produce a therapeutic effect with a period of twice a day for 2 days using headphones. Music used to increase comfort and reduce the anxiety that has a slow tempo, notes that are not too high or too low, has a low volume and is rhythmic with a simple arrangement, and a stable melody. The provision of music therapy, especially Mozart adagio classical music, affects reducing anxiety levels and reducing pain intensity so that it can provide a sense of comfort to postpartum mothers.

Abstract

The incidence of HIV / AIDS is still high and is still described as an iceberg phenomenon. This condition forces PLWHA to always feel worried about their lives because they are threatened with death. The problems of PLWHA in Sumenep Regency are very complex, starting from the quality of life, stigma against PLWHA, transmission, treatment, to PLWHA, which until now have not been detected, coupled with the cultural atmosphere of the Madurese community, especially Sumenep Regency. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the quality of life of PLWHA undergoing ARV therapy. This type of research uses a survey design and is a quantitative study. The study population was all PLHIV patients who were actively using ARV therapy in Sumenep Regency, with a total sample of 56 respondents. Purposive sampling is used as a sampling technique. The independent variables in this study were socio-demographic factors (marital status, gender, age, education, occupation), medication adherence, duration of ARV therapy and stigma. The dependent variable is the quality of life. Chi-square test was used to test bivariate analysis and path analysis with the help of AMOS software was used to test multivariate analysis. The research location is in Sumenep Regency, namely in four Puskesmas which are used as ARV drinking facilities. In this study, it was found that the variable data that had the most influence on the quality of life was gender with a Nilai p of 0.055 which was smaller than α (0.1). The cross-tabulation analysis showed that female ODHA respondents had at least a good quality of life, namely only 14.3%. This is not surprising if this happens in Sumenep Regency, because from a cultural perspective, the Madurese are still very thick with their culture and local wisdom, where women are still in a subordinative position. Women with HIV / AIDS will be stigmatized and excluded from society.
