Abstract

Abstract: The purposes of this research are to find out: 1) the types of code mixing used in Deddy Corbuzier video podcast on youtube channel and 2) the factors why Deddy Cobuzier used code mixing in video podcast on youtube channel. Documentation used in collecting the data and triangulation used in checking trustworthiness the data. The result of the research showed the types of code mixing used in Deddy Corbuzier video podcast on youtube channel is adopted from Hofman includes 96% Intra-sentential, 2.2 % Intra-lexical, and 2.2% Involving a change of pronunciation. Furthermore, the factors why Deddy Corbuzier used code mixing in video podcast on youtube channel because particular topic, interjection, and repetition for clarifying Keywords: Code Mixing,Deddy Corbuzier,Video Podcast, Youtube Channel. Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: 1) tipe pencampuran kode yang digunakan dalam podcast video Deddy Corbuzier di saluran youtube dan 2) faktor-faktor mengapa Deddy Cobuzier menggunakan pencampuran kode dalam podcast video di saluran youtube. Dokumentasi digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data dan triangulasi digunakan untuk memeriksa keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tipecampur kode yang digunakan dalam video podcast Deddy Corbuzier pada saluran youtube yang diadopsi dari Hofman meliputi 96% Intra-sentential, 2.2% Intra-lexical, dan 2.2% yang melibatkan perubahan pengucapan. Selanjutnya faktor-faktor mengapa Deddy Cobuzier menggunakan campur kode dalam video podcast di saluran youtube karena adanya partikular topik, interjeksi, dan pengulangan untuk klarifikasi. Kata Kunci: campur kode, Deddy Corbuzier, podcast video ,saluran youtube.

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research are to find out : 1). The types of code switching used in Masterchef Indonesia season 6, 2) the functions of code switching used in Masterchef Indonesia season 6. This research used library research. The informants of this research is all the judges and contestants of Masterchef Indonesia season 6 - Chef Arnold Marah Besar Karena Ini ! and Ini Masterchef Challenge Bukan Paranormal Challenge! gallery 4. In collecting the data, the researcher used documentation technique. The result of the research are 1) 40 data for the types of code switching. 11 data includes inter-sentential of code switching, 28 data includes intra-sentential of code switching, 1 data includes establishing continuity with the previous speaker. 2) The function of code switching in two videos was reiteration and addresse Specification. The use of code switching in two videos is depends on the will and situation of all the judges. Abstract

Abstract : The aimed of this study to (a) describe of using course review horay model in teaching writing descriptive text, (b) describes students’ writing descriptive text before and after using course review horay model, (c) Know whether there is any significant influence of using course review horay model at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Pinangsori. The study was conducted at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Pinangsori by applying experimental method (one group pretest posttest design). Sample of the study was 29 students and they were taken by using purposive sampling technique. Questionnaire and test were used in collecting data. Based on descriptive analysis, the result showed (a) the average of using course review horay model 80% (very good category) and (b) the average of students’ writing descriptive text before using course review horay model is 54.55 (bad category) and after using course review horay model is 82.10 (very good category). Furthermore, by using Wilcoxon Sign Pair Test (SPSS 22), the result showed the significant value is less than 0.05 (0.00<0.05). It means, there is any significant influence of using course review horay model in teaching writing descriptive text at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Pinangsori in 2020/2021 Academic Year. Abstract

This research’ purposes are find: 1) the level of students’ learning motivation, 2) the type of students’ learning motivation. Research was conducted at the sixth semester of English Language Education Program of Institut PendidikanTapanuli Selatan in 2020/2021 academic year with respondent 23 students and 6 lecturers. This research use descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected through questionnaire that given to students through WhatsApp application and to lecturers directly. Triangulation was used in checking trustworthiness. The results of this study are 1). The level of students’ learning motivation at the sixth semester of English Language Education Program is “good category” and percentage is 79.87% based on source data from the students and 78.88% based on source data from lecturers. 2). The type of students’ learning motivation at the sixth semester of English Language Education Program is extrinsic motivation. It can be seen from the comparing of students’ extrinsic motivation from questionnaire that given to lecturers has percentage is 85.54% and students’ intrinsic motivation from questionnaire that given to students has percentage is 79.12%. It is can be conclude the level of students’ learning motivation at the sixth semester of English Language Education Program is “good category” and percentage is 79.87% and the type of students’ learning motivation at the sixth semester of English Language Education Program is extrinsic motivation from environment and percentage is 85.54%.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aim to know students motivation in learning English during pandemic Covid-19 at the Eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Satu Atap Andam Dewi 2020/2021 Academic Year. Informant in this research are 34. 28 students class A, 1 English teacher in SMP Negeri 3 Satu Atap Andam Dewi and 5 parents of students. based on the observation was done before, researcher founded almost of the students are motivated in learning English before the pandemic with percentage 90% and after Covid-19 was came just 25% are motivated in learning English and 75% is not motivated in learning English during Covid-19 pandemic its means Covid-19 made students are not motivated in learning English during this pandemic. Its showed Covid-19 made students at the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 3 Satu Atap Andam Dewi mostly not motivated in learning English during pandemic Covid-19 and the dominant factor is came from internal factor. Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted at the eleventh grade SMA Muhammadiyah11 in 2020/2021 academic year with respondent 20 students. The purpose of this research was to find: 1) to know what the students' error in using conditional sentence, 2) why students made errors in using conditional sentence. This research use mix method. The data were collected by test and interview. Triangulation was used in checking trustworthiness. The results of this study are 1) the result of students test in conditional sentence is enough, with percentage the correct is 64% and the errors is 36%, 2). Students errors in using conditional sentence, includes: 19% errors of addition, 18% error of omission, 56% error of misformation, and 7% error in misordering. The researcher concludes that from the calculation of the data, misformation errors are the most common error made by the students. The writer found, there are two main causes of the students’ errors in using conditional sentence. The first is the students don’t understand and inability in using past form. The second is the inability of the students in differentiating between conditional sentence type 1, type2, and type 3. Keywords: students’ errors, conditional sentence

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research are to find: 1) the types of phrasal verb used in the lyrics of Elvis Presley songs, 2) the characteristics features of phrasal verb used in the lyrics of Elvis Presley songs. This research use descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected by documentation method.In technique of checking trustworthiness of data the researcher used triangulation. The results of this study are 1) the types of phrasal verbs in Elvis Presley’s songs, there are 25 data which has been found by the researcher. The data showed that adverbial phrasal verbs is the most dominant types of phrasal verb in Elvis Presley’s songs, and its about 72%. The lower is prepositional phrasal verbs with the percentages 28, 2) the characteristics feature of phrasal verbs in the lyrics of Elvis Presley’s songs entitled Are you lonesome tonight and Suspicious mind is the combination is not freely formed. Abstract: This study aims to determine: 1. How is the effectiveness of students English learning online in Covid-19? 2.What are the effectiveness factors of students English learning onlinein Covid-19? This research is qualitative. Data collection techniques include: questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were English teachers and eighth grade students of SMP Keluarga Siambaton Napa Manduamas. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data display, drawing conclusions. The results showed that 1. The effectiveness of student learning in online learningis effective. This can be seen from the questions given by researchers in online learning. 2. That factor effectiveness of student learning in online learning are the teacher preparing the material to be delivered, network constraints, and still many students who do not have mobile phones. Abstract

Abstract: The aims of the research to know whether there is any significant effect of the using learning starts with a question model on students’ comprehension in reading announcement text to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 AekNabaraBarumun. The research is conducting by using experimental method (pretest posttest one group design) with 34 students as the sample and they are taking by using random sampling technique from 54 students as population. Test and observation are using in collecting the data. Based on the data analysis, it can be find the The using of learning starts with a question model to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 AekNabaraBarumun is categorized “good”, it can be seen from the mean score is 3.15, 2.The students’ comprehension in reading announcement text before and after the using learning starts with a question model to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 AekNabaraBarumun is 68.39 categorized “enough” and 78.93 categorized “good”. Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using ttest, the writer find ttest less than ttable(4.51 > 1.314).It means, “There is a significant effect of the using learning starts with a question model on students’ comprehension in reading announcement text to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 AekNabaraBarumun.” Keywords:Learning Starts With A Question Model, Announcement and Reading.
