Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research to know 1) the application of the scramble model in vocabulary mastery 2) the students’ vocabulary mastery before and after using scramble model 3) whether there is any significant effect of scramble model in vocabulary mastery at the eleventh grade students of MA Swasta Al-Abraar Siondop Julu Angkola Selatan by applying pre-experimental (one-group pretest and posttest design). The sample consist of 22 students and they were taken by using purposive sampling technique. In collecting the data, the researcher used questionnaire and test. The result of the research are 1) application of scramble model was 93% (very good category), 2) the mean score of students’ vocabulary mastery before using scramble model was 58.86 (bad category) and after using scramble model was 80 (good category), 3) Data on students' vocabulary mastery analyzed using paired sample ttest and N- gain through SPSS 22. The pair sample ttest shows the significant value was 0.000, it’s less than 0.05 (0.000< 0.05). Furthermore N- gain shows 0.51. It means there is any significant effect of scramble model on students’ vocabulary mastery in medium category. Keywords: Vocabulary mastery, scramble model

Abstract

The research analyzes Tenses of Q.S. Al-Ikhlas, Al-falaq and An-nas in their English translations. There the objective study of this research like: 1) To know what are tenses in Q.S.Al-Ikhlas, Al-falaq and An-nas in their English translations. 2) To know kinds of tenses in Q.S. Al-Ikhlas, Al-falaq and An-nasin their English translation. Thus, it is library research based content analysis which is describing Tenses of Q.S. Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas in their English translation. Moreover, the researcher uses documentation technique to collect the data and content analysis technique to analyze the data. In conclusion, the researcher finds 3 tenses used in Qs. Al-Ikhlas, Al-falaq and An-nas there are: simple present tense, simple past, and present perfect tense. The research results are: There are 3 Simple presents for Q.S Al-Ikhlas, 1 Simple present and 3 Simple past for Q.S. Al-Falaq, and 2 Simple presents for Q.S. An-Nas. Abstract

As al-qur’an is a book of guidance for muslims. Must be studied by all muslims. Muslims’followers can be found in most of countries in this world that’s why the al-quran can be found in most of countries in this world. Look at to this cases al-quran needed to be translated to be analized in most of languages found in this world. It cuased of the al-quran it self only printed in Arabic language. Islam or muslim is one of the internasional religion because the followers can be found most of in every country in the world, so Al-quran is the holy book (kibatullah) of the islam so Al-quran is the one of the internasional religion. Al-quran stated by Allah SWT I and obligated to obey or to do n Arabic language, al-quran contents all found in the world means all things in the universe. All its followers obligated to study, to know the content and obligated to obey or to do the messages in it because the al-quran orders its followers own good character means the best references for the good character can be seen in al-quran. Because of can not be said that all people can speak Arabic language in this word show that the al-quran must be translated to many languages in this wolrd such as in Indonesia, Duetch , German, French, Japan, English, etc .

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of the research was to find out whether or not it was significantly effective to teaching students speaking by using elicitation technique to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau. The sample of the research was 38 students taken from class of Eighth-five. In this research, the researcher used pre-experimental research with one group of pre-test and post-test. Based on the collecting the data by used oral test, the result of the research indicated that elicitation technique was significantly effective to improve students speaking at eighth students. It could be seen from the score students in pre-test and post-test. The average of student’s score in pre-test was 66 achieve by one students and 100% failed in test, meanwhile the students’ average score in post-test was 88 achieve by 3 students and 27 students passed in test or 71%. In addition, the result of paired t-test was that tobtained was 13.24 and ttable was 1.70. it mean tobtained was higher than ttable (13.24 ≥ 1.70). Alternative (Ha) was accepted and it was significantly effective to teach speaking by using elicitation technique to the eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 2 lubuklinggau.Key words: Teaching Speaking, Elicitation Technique

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa dengan strategi hypnoteaching di sekolah menengah pertama Lubuklinggau. Sample dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas 7 Smp N 3 Lubuklinggau. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-ekperimen dengan satu grup pre-test dan post-test. Nilai rata-rata pre-test siswa adalah 57.7 sementara nilai rata-rata postes siswa adalah 70.1. Jumlah siswa yang lulus dalam pre-test adalah 4 orang atau 13.3%, di sisi lain, jumlah siswa yang lulus dalam post-test adalah 24 orang atau 80%. Hasil uji t adalah t hitung = 11.374 > t tabel = 1.69913. Ini berarti bahwa hipotesis nol telah ditolak. Maka hipotesis alternatif telah diterima yang berarti bahwa ada efek signifikan ketika mengajarkan menulis dengan strategi hypnoteaching di sekolah menengah pertama di Lubuklinggau.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to know: 1) the application of field trip method in teaching writing descriptive text 2) the students’ writing descriptive text ability before and after using field trip method 3) Whether there is a significant effect of field trip method on students’ writing descriptive text ability at the eighth grade of SMP Swasta Advent Barus. This research uses experimental method with the pre-experimental design by using one-group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research is all of the eighth grade students’ of SMP Swasta Advent Barus which consist of 70 students. Sample are VIII A which consist of 22 students which taken by purposive sampling. In collecting the data the researchers uses observation sheet and test as an instrument. The results of this research are: 1) the application of field trip method is 3.8, it is categorized “very good” 2) the mean score of students writing descriptive text ability is 47 it is categorized “fail”. Meanwhile, after using field trip method is 72, it is categorized “good”. 3) There is a significant effect of using field trip method on students’ writing descriptive text ability at the eighth grade of SMP Swasta Advent Barus. The result of data analysis shows that ttest is higher than ttable (ttest16. 90 > ttable2.05). So, the hypothesis is accepted. It means that, there is a significant effect of field trip method on students’ writing descriptive text ability at the eighth grade of SMP Swasta Advent Barus in 2020/2021 Academic Year.

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research are to found out: 1) The application of probing-prompting learning model on students’ speaking ability, 2) The students’ speaking ability before and after using probing-prompting model, 3) whether there is any significant effect of probing-prompting learning model on students’ speaking ability at the Eleventh Grade of SMK Negeri 1 Barus Utara.This research uses experimental method with the pre-experimental design by using one-group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research is the XI Grade students’of SMK Negeri 1 Barus Utara which consist of 71 students and the samples were 28 students gotten by using purposive sampling. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation sheet. Instrument of the research was observation and test was oral test. The result of the research are 1) application of probing-prompting learnig model was 3.7, it was categorized “very good”. 2) The mean score of the students’ before using probing-prompting learning model was 51, it was categorized “bad”. Meanwhile after using probing-prompting learning model was 59, it was categorized “bad”. 3) The result of analysis showed that ttest is bigger than ttable (ttest12.4> ttable 2.05). So, the hypothesis was accepted. It means that there is any significant effect of probing-prompting learning model on students’ speaking ability at the Eleventh Grade of SMK Negeri 1 Barus Utara. Abstract

Abstract :The purpose of this research to know 1) the application of inquiry method on students’ reading comprehension of analytical exposition text , 2) The students’ reading comprehension of analytical exposition text before and after using inquiry method, 3) whether there is any significant effect of inquiry method on students’ reading comprehension of analytical exposition text. This research used experimental method with the pre-experimental design by using one-group pretest and posttest design. The sample of this research is 22 students of class XI-C by using purposive sampling. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation sheet and test. The result of the research are 1) application of inquiry method was 3.3 (very good category), 2) the average score of students’ reading comprehension of analytical exposition text before and after using inquiry method is 43.36 (fail category) and is 72.95 ( good category), 3) The results of the analysis show that ttest is greater than ttable.. (7.77 > 2.08). So, the hypothesis is accepted. It means that there is any significant effect of inquiry method on reading comprehension of analytical exposition text for class XI- C students’ of MAS AL- Abraar Siondop Julu Angkola Selatan. Abstract

Research by Muhammad Aldiansyah, SRN 2115030 entitled “An Analysis of Media Used in Teaching English through Online Learning in The Covid-19 Pandemic at Public Vocational High Schools at Lubuklinggau” by the Main Supervisor Syaprizal, M.Pd and Counselor Supervisor Agus Triyogo, M.Pd ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to find out (1). 1. What are the media used by the teacher through online learning in pandemic Covid 19, (2). What are the difficulties faced by teachers in using the media in pandemic Covid 19, (3). How the teachers control the student during online class in pandemic Covid 19. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative research. The subject of the research was 10 teachers of English at public vocational high school Lubuklinggau that were choosen by purposive data sampling. In collecting data, the research used (1). Interview the teachers who are chosen, (2). Making transcription from the interview with the teachers, (3). Encoding the collecting data, (4). Classifying of teachers’ media, (5). Analyzing the types of teachers' media online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, (6). Concluding the data. The result showed that media used by the teachers through online learning during covid-19 pandemic and the difficulties faced by the teachers and also the teachers way to control the student through online learning during covid-19 pandemic at vocational high school at Lubuklinggau. Abstract

Abstract Abstract: The aims of the research to know the extent of the using discovery learning model in teaching students’ writing in procedure text, the extent of the students’ writing in procedure text before and after the using discovery learning model, and to know whether there is any significant effect of between discovery learning model on students’ writing in procedure text to the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sihapas Barumun. The research is conducting by using experimental method (pretest posttest one group design) with 31 students as the sample and they are taking by using cluster sampling technique from 2 classes as population. Test and observation are using in collecting the data. Based on the data analysis, it can be found the average of using discovery leaning model in teaching students’ writing in procedure text is 74.00 categorized “good”, and the mean score of students’ writing in procedure text before and after the using discovery learning model to the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sihapas Barumun is 68.13 categorized “enough” and 77.52 categorized “good”. Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using ttest, the writer find ttest less than ttable (4.17 > 1.697). It means, there is a significant effect of the using discovery learning model on students’ writing in procedure text to the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sihapas Barumun. Keywords: Discovery Learning Model, Writing Ability, Procedure Text Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penggunaan model discovery learning, tingkat pemahaman siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model discovery learning, dan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara menggunakan model discovery learning pada siswa. Kemampuan siswa menulis teks prosedur di kelas sebelas SMA Negeri 1 Sihapas Barumun. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan model eksperimental (pretest postest one group design) dengan 31 siswa sebagai sampel dan diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster sampling dari 2 kelas. Tes dan observasi digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan analisis data, ditemukan rata-rata menggunakan model discovery learning 74.00 dikategorikan "baik", dan rata-rata kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur sebelum menggunakan model discovery learning adalah 68.13 dikategorikan "cukup", dan setelah itu 77.52 dikategorikan "bagus". Selanjutnya berdasarkan statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan ttest, penulis menemukan ttest kurang dari ttabel (5.34 > 1.309). Artinya, ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan model discovey learning terhadap tingkat pemahaman siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sihapas Barumun. Kata Kunci: Model Discovery Learning, Kemampuan Menulis, Teks Prosedur.
