Abstract

RIKA ROSTIKA. NIM 123223013. Mathematics Learning With Models Learning Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation (ADPIE) Into Improving Ability Students Understanding Math Concepts. Paper, Kuningan: Mathematics Education Program, Muhammadiyah STKIP Kuningan, 2016. This study aims to determine whether there are positive implications between or not students understanding of mathematical concepts with models learning Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation (ADPIE. The hypothesis of this study is, “the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts than students using learning models Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation better understanding of mathematical concept than student using conventional learning”. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Lebakwangi in the second semester of academic year 2015/2016. The selection of a simple random sample is taken to determine the experimental class and the control class. The sample used in eksperimental class as many as 30 students and as many as 29 control class students. Instrument to determine the understanding of mathematical concept by using a test essay, while to determine students responses to the Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation learning models by using a questionnair. The instrument tested prior to the 22 student in the population other thab the study sample was obtain 7 valid item description of 10 question. From the results of the test comprehension of mathematical concepts derived average value of the initial test experiment class 18,43 and control class 17,57. While at the end of the test the average value of the experiment class 44,13 and control class 32,33. Analysis using t test for statistical hypothesis testing. From these calculations obtained tcount = 0,589 for the test of equality of two mean, then consulted on ttabel at 5% significance level and 57 degrees of freedom, the value ttable = 2,003 because ttable < tcount < ttable = (2,003 < 0,589 < 2,003) then H0 is accepted, it means there is no difference between the mean value of the initial test experimental class and control class. While the difference in the two mean test values obtain tcount = 3,827 then consulted on ttable at 5% significance level and 57 degress of freedom, the value ttable = 2,003 because tcount > ttable (3,827 > 2,003) then H1 is accepted, it means the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts that using models Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation better the understanding of the ability of students to use mathematical concept of conventional learning.

Abstract

Student problem solving on learning mathematics in Class X SMK YAMSIK Kuningan is still low. This is because the implementation of conventional learning model that less develop the ability to learn and build individuals. Conventional learning tends to minimize student involvement so teachers seem to be more active. The habit of being passive in the learning process can cause most students to be afraid and embarrassed to ask the teacher about the less interesting material. One of the learning models tried through this research is the Make A Match learning model. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of Make A Match method in learning mathematics. The population of this research is students of class X SMK YAMSIK Kuningan. Sampling in this research using Cluster Random Sampling technique with M-G pattern that is using balancing technique average pretest value of control group and experiment group. There are 2 (two) variables in this research, namely: (1) Make A Match Learning Model with conventional learning model, and (2) Problem solving student. Data collection techniques used are documentation, tests, and questionnaires. Instrument test results (validity test, level of difficulty, distinguishing power) consisting of 5 items and used for pret test and post test are 5 items. Based on the results of instrument reliability test for pretest, postes, and questionnaires obtained the whole instrument is reliable and can be used for data collection. The test result difference of two average pret test (t is in the acceptance area of ​​Ho) concluded there is no difference between the experimental group and the control group. Test of difference of post experiment group average and control group was found that experimental group was better than control group. Average estimation in control group with mean of student learning result 35.92 meanwhile experimental group average estimation with mean of result of learning 37.94 mean control group result of problem solving at learning of mathematics lower than experiment group, hence there is influence between effectiveness The model of Make A Match learning in mathematics learning in grade X students of SMK YAMSIK Kuningan. Based on the results of the study concluded that learning by using Make A Match model socialized and used as an alternative in learning mathematics in school. In addition to further research as the development of other research. Based on the results of the study it is suggested that the application of Make A Match learning model is socialized and used as an alternative in learning mathematics in schools to improve student learning outcomes. In addition, in the application of this model a teacher should always keep an eye on the class to motivate students' activeness and provide individual and group guidance. Further research needs to be done as self-development so as to develop research in a wider scope.

Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis mahasiswa mayoritas belum optimal dalammempelajari matematika diskrit yang merupakan salah satu dasar teori yangmendukung ilmu komputer. Sementara itu, mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komputerumumnya masih menganggap bahwa matematika diskrit adalah mata kuliah yangterparsialkan dari ilmu komputer, sehingga untuk mengubah kenyataan tersebut,diperlukan suatu inovasi dalam perkuliahan, salah satunya adalah denganmengaplikasikan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis mahasiswa yangmemperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbeda dengan mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi sistem Informasi di Indonesia, yang setingkat mutunya dengan program studi Sistem Informasi Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Subang jika dilihat dari nilai akreditasi BAN-PT, dan Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Sistem Informasi Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Subang yang mengambil mata kuliah Matematika Diskrit (mata kuliah wajib yang diberikan di semester II). Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen adalah kelompok mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah sedangkan kelompok kontrol adalah kelompok mahasiswa yang yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian berbentuk Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes dan angket. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis mahasiswa yang mendapatkan perkuliahan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbeda dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Regina Nurberlian (NIM: 113223036), Penerapan Pendekatan Problem Solving UntukMeningkatkan Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis Siswa. Matematika merupakansalah satu cabang ilmu pengetahuan yang dapat membentuk siswa berfikir nalar.Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematissiswa dalam memecahkan suatu masalah adalah pendekatan problem solving(pemecahan masalah). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metodeeksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5Ciawigebang tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VII.Asebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII.B sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan penerapan pendekatan problem solving lebih baik daripada modelpembelajaran konvensional karena dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaranmatematis siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelaseksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol dimana nilai rata-rata yang awalnyasebesar 40,26 meningkat menjadi 78,40. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata skor responsiswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan problem solvingsebesar 3,44 yang menunjukan bahwa respon siswa terhadap pendekatan problemsolving positif

Abstract

The purpose in this research is to know of student respond to medium visual action in mathematic subject studying in order to up student interest in the classroom. The research is conducted through the stage of pre-test and cycle in which the data are collected through tests and analyzed descriptively. The result of the research shows that there is a significant improvement of the students’ interest after they have been exposed with the implementation of visual media presentation. The students’ completeness of the pre-test which is 56% and the average is 73 in Cycle I has increased to 69% with the average 76. The same thing happens to Cycle II in which it increases to 74% with the average of 78. It also happens to the Cycle III in which it increases to 86% and the average is 80. The result of the questionnaire which assesses the aspect of comprehension is 91,7 %. On the other side, the result of the questionnaire which assesses the aspect of the improvement of the students’ interest is 93,5 %. The success of improving the students’ interest is also due to the school facility, the readiness of the researcher, and the condition of the students in the classroom. The result of the research is that the implementation of visual media can increase the students’ interest in learning. The advise can give are the teacher should can to motivation the student with way study diversity in the classroom though student interest to mathematic subject can up more.

Abstract

This paper presents the findings of research on the application of contextual learning on the circle material to improve the ability of problem solving math. This studi aims to determine the action of class VIII C SMP Negeri 1 Cibingbin, Kuningan regency. Research activities are carried out through lessons learned in two cycles. Based on the result of research shows that the result of student learningon the cycle 1 and the cycle 2 has experienced a significant increase. In cycle 1 the average score is 68,00 with 50 % completeness, while in cycle 2it is obtained an average of 80,31 with completeness 81,25 %. It shows an increase in average score of 12,31 an increase in learning mastery of 31,25 %. From the contextual response of the contextual learning on the circle material has made an excellent response from the students of SMP Negeri 1 Cibingbin, wich is 92,19 %. Furthermore, seen from teacher performance activity also there is improvement. If in the first Cycle the tacher’s performance earned an average score of 83,00 which is included in the criterion well, then in the second melt the average value of 92,00 which is included in the excellent category

Abstract

The purpose of this is to know the ability of mathematical connections ofstudents in learning mathematics with mathematical connections ability of studentsusing Brain-Based Learning.The population in this study are students of SMPN 2Kadugede, while the sample in this study were students of grade VII SMPN 2Kadugede. Sampling technique in this research use purposive sampling, in twoclasses to determine experiment class and control class.The experimental classreceive the learning by using the Brain-based Learning approach, while the controlclass receive the learning by using Direct Intruction approach.The research instrumentthat is test sheets of 6 problem description form. From the test result of mathematicalconnection ability of students obtained the average of initial test of the experimentalclass is 2.96 and the control class average is 3.75. While in the final test the averageexperiment class is 26.08 and the control class is 11.05.The data analysis techniqueuses the t-test to test the statistical hypothesis. From the this calculation obtained thetvalue of calculated equality test of two averages of 1.02 then on the ttable at 5%significance level and degrees of freedom 49, obtained table value 2.011 because -2.011 <1.02 <2.011 then H0 is accepted, meaning no difference between The initialtest grade of the experimental class and the control class.While at two difference oftwo average obtained t value 8,23 then at ttabel at 5% significance level and degree offreedom 46 obtained value ttable 2.011 because 2,011> 8,23 then H1 accepted, thatmean ability mathematical connection of student which use approach of Brain-basedLearning is better than the mathematical connection ability of students using DirectIntruction learning. There is an increase of students' mathematical connection abilitywith Brain-Based Learning approach that is in medium category and student'sresponse to learning using Brain Based Learning approach shows positive response.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan representasimatematis siswa yang belajar menggunakan Metode Inkuiri Model Alberta lebih baikdaripada siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran matematika biasadan untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematissiswa yang belajar menggunakan Metode Inkuiri Model Alberta lebih baik daripadasiswa yang belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran matematika biasa. Metodepenelitian yang dipilih adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompokkontrol non-ekuivalen (non equivalent control group design). Pada desain eksperimenini terdapat dua kelompok sampel, adanya pretest, perlakuan yang berbeda danadanya posttest. Sampel pada kelompok pertama merupakan kelas eksperimen yangmenggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Alberta. Sementara itu kelompok keduasebagai kelas kontrol yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan pembelajaranbiasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematissiswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Alberta lebih baik daripadasiswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa dan peningkatan kemampuanrepresentasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Albertalebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan: 1) Materi yang dianggap sulit oleh siswa kelas VII yang mengalami kesulitan belajar pada mata pelajaran matematika Semester Gasal di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Bandung, 2) Karakteristik kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas VII di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Bandung, 3) Faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas VII di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Bandung, 4) Upaya guru dalam menangani kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas VII di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Bandung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII yang mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika, guru kelas VII dan orang tua siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui langkah-langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Materi yang dianggap sulit oleh siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika yaitu: bentuk dan operasi bilangan pecahan, bentuk dan operasi aljabar, persamaan dan pertidaksamaan variabel, perbandingan dan skala 2) Karakteristiknya yaitu adanya gangguan persepsi visual (meliputi memori, urutan, dan abstraksi) dan kesulitan dalam bahasa dan membaca, 3) Faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa antara lain minat dan motivasi belajar matematika yang rendah, keluarga yang belum mendukung secara optimal, dan kurangnya media pembelajaran matematika yang dipakai oleh guru, 4) Upaya yang dilakukan guru antara lain memberikan bimbingan belajar secara berkelompok pada jam tambahan, meminta siswa yang pandai untuk membantu guru mengajari siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika, melaksanakan tes remidi, dan memberikan tambahan tugas untuk untuk dikerjakan di rumah.

Abstract

Application of Learning Strategies Means Ends Analysis (MEA) To Increase Students Critical Thinking Skill Mathematically. The background of this research is two improve student critical thinking mathematically using learning strategies Means Ends Analysis. From the result of the pretest known that the mean score of critical thinking mathematically control class is 16.04, and the experimental class is 18.275. Meanwhile, it is known that the result of the posttest mean score of critical thinking mathematically control class is 62.03 and the mean score critical thinking mathematically experimental class is 78.5. From the analysis of pretest and posttest samples can be concluded that the study of mathematics by using learning strategies Means Ends Analysis is better than the ability of critical thinking mathematical students by using conventional learning strategies. The increased ability to think critically mathematical experimental class in middle category
