Abstract

This study aims to find out the significant differences in learning outcomes of Civics among students who were taught by the Talking Stick model and students who were taught by conventional learning in grade V students of second semester of elementary school in Gugus I of Gerokgak Subdistrict. This research is a quasi-experimental research with post test only control group design design. The population of this study is the entire class V SD in the first group of Gerokgak District with a total of 126 students. The sample was taken by random sampling technique so that it was obtained by grade V SD Negeri 3 Tukadsumaga as experiment group and class V SD Negeri 1 Tukadsumaga as control group. The instrument of data collection used in this research is objective test of Civic learning result. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Independent sample t-test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the learning outcomes of Civics between students studying with the Talking Stick model and students who were taught by conventional learning. The magnitude of t_hcount is 3,048, while t_tabel at 5% significance level and db = 42 is 2.021. This means t_count> t_table. In addition, the average score of Civics learning outcomes of students who studied with the Talking Stick model (23.08) was higher than that of students taught by conventional learning (19,26). Thus, Talking Stick model model influences the learning outcomes of Civics in Grade V students of Grade II in Gugus I, Gerokgak Sub District, Lesson Year 2017/2018. Suggestions for further research are expected to result in this research can be reused in other lessons.Keywords: talking stick, Civic learning outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the significant difference of knowledge competence of PPKn group of students which were taught by Open Ended learning model based on project assessment with group of students taught by conventional learning in fourth grades of SD Gugus I Gianyar Sub District Academic Year 2017/2018. This research was a quasi-experimental study with non-equivalent group design. Population in this research were all fourth graders of SD Gugus I Gianyar Sub District Academic Year 2017/2018 which amounted to 343 people. Determination of the sample in this reseach used random sampling technique with existing class scramble, then to determin of both of experimental and control groups were drawed so the fourth grade Melati SD Negeri 2 Gianyar as 36 students as experimental class and fourth grade A SD Negeri 1 Gianyar as much 44 students as a control class group. The student's knowledge competence data were collected with an ordinary double-choice objective test instrument of 30 validated questions. The gain score normalization value of fourth grades Melati under the average of 15 people and which reached an average of 21 people while the gain score normalization value of fourth grades A which were below the average of 21 people and who reached an average of 23 people. The result of t-test analysis shows tcalculate = 2,494> ttable (ɑ = 0,05, dk = 78) = 1,991 so H0 was rejected and Ha accepted. In accordance with these results can be concluded Open Ended learning model based on project assessment affect the competence of knowledge PPKn fourth graders of SD Gugus I Gianyar Sub District Academic Year 2017/2018. For researchers who have similarities of variables, the results of this research can be used as a relevant research. Keywords: open ended, project assessment, PPKn

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terdapat dalam proses pembelajaran Matematika kelas 5 di SD Negeri Salatiga 02 adalah keterampilan Collaborative siswa masih rendah dan berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Pada studi awal menemukan bahwa 76% siswa tingkat keterampilan Collborativenya masih rendah. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka peneliti melakukan penelitian mengunakan metode  penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model Teams Games Tournament berbantu media ular tangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen pengumpulan data angket untuk mengukur keterampilan Collaborative siswa. Hasil penelitian, menunjukkan belum terjadi peningkatan keterampilan Collaborative kategori tinggi pada siklus I. Setelah diperbaiki dan dilakukan pengukuran dalam siklus II, terjadi  peningkatan keterampilan Collaborative sebesar 13,4%. Berdasarkan uraian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini berhasil karena model Teams Games Tournament berbantu media ular tangga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan Collaborative pada siklus II. There are problems in the process of learning Mathematics grade 5 in SD Negeri Salatiga 02 Collaborative skills is still low and the students have an impact on the low results of student learning. On preliminary study found that 76% of students Collborativenya skill level is still low. Based on these problems then the researchers conducting research using research methods a class act with a model of its Teams Games Tournament berbantu snake media ladder. This research uses data collection instruments for measuring the skills now Collaborative students. Results of the study, suggesting an increase in skills yet Collaborative category i. cycle high Once repaired and carried out measurements in cycle II, an increase in Collaborative skills of 13.4%. Based on the above description it can be concluded that this model works because research Teams Games Tournament ladder snake media berbantu can improve the skills of the Collaborative cycle II.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe (1) student’s chemistry learning disabilities and (2) the cause factors of student’s learning disabilities to understanding buffer solution topic at SMA Negeri 2 Kuta. The subjects of this research were 198 students from all class XI MIPA  and 3 chemistry teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Kuta. Method used in the research was qualitative method. The data were student’s learning achievement and information about the cause factor of student’s learning disabilities in learning buffer solution topic. The data were collected by using two-tier multiple choice test and interview. The result of this research showed that (1) student’s learning disabilities in each indicator was ranged between less difficult and most difficult and (2) the factor that cause student’s learning disabilities include internal factor and external factor. Internal factor that caused learning disabilities namely less learning interest toward chemistry, less learning motivation toward chemistry, less understanding toward buffer solution concept, less understanding toward supporting concepts of buffer solution topic, and student’s less mathematic ability. The external factor that caused learning disabilities namely negative effect of friend at same age, inadequate learning supported facilities, and teacher’s teaching method.

Abstract

Assessment is a process to obtain and collect student learning outcomes during learning. Based on the facts in the field it was found that the teacher was unable to compile assessment tools for writing explanatory text skills and short story texts. The purpose of this study was to develop assessment tools for explanatory text writing skills and short story texts consisting of teacher guides and student assignments. The research and development model used in this study is the R2D2 development model. The results showed that the assessment skills of explanatory text writing skills and short story texts developed were appropriate to be implemented in the 2013 curriculum. The teacher's guide to explanatory texts reached 91% and the teacher's guide to short story texts reached 86%. While the student assignment for the explanatory text reached 87% and the student assignment for the short story text reached 82%. Based on the results of the validity and reliability test, it shows that all the items of work that have been developed are valid and reliable.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) develop and describe the characteristics; (2) describe and explain the validity; (3) describe and explain the practicability of Student Worksheet (LKS) based on scientific approach for chemistry learning on the chemical equilibrium topic. The type of this research was research and development with the steps carried out included: (1) data collection; (2) design of product; (3) validation of design; (4) revisions of design; (5) limited tryout; and (6) revisions of product. The developed LKS consists of five sub-topics. Content validation on LKS was done by involving two experts and two practitioners. Language validation on LKS is done by involving one linguist. A limited tryout involved 9 students of grade XI SMAN 1 Kuta Selatan. Characteristic of LKS based on scientific approach for chemistry learning on the chemical equilibrium topic, namely: (1) LKS consists of 5M learning steps with added hypothesis formulation; (2) in each LKS presented a contextual phenomenon; and (3) the language used in the LKS developed in accordance with the EYD. Validation results indicate that: (1) LKS validation results by experts and practitioners have met the valid category; (2) LKS validation results by linguists have met the linguistic rules and meet very valid categories. Based on the results of a limited tryout obtained positive response of students to learning with LKS on the implementation with very high category.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe and explain the differences in science learning outcomes between students who follow the Vee Heuristic learning model assisted by video media with direct learning models, in class VIII in SMP Negeri 5 Denpasar, 2) describe and explain differences in science learning outcomes, between students who followed the Vee Heuristic learning model with students who followed the direct learning model in groups of students who had high learning motivation, 3) described and explained the differences in science learning outcomes between students who followed the Vee Heuristic learning model, with students who followed the direct learning model in groups students who have low learning motivation. The population in this study were all students class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Denpasar which amounted to 386, with a sample of 64 people taken at random. Learning outcomes data, collected by learning outcomes test, while learning motivation data collected by questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using two-way ANOVA analysis and continued with Tukey test. The results showed that: (1) there are differences in science learning outcomes among students who followed the Vee Heuristic model assisted by video media, with students who took the direct learning model for eighth grade students in SMP Negeri 5 Denpasar with a significance value of 0.001 in "Model" (A ) less than 0.05,(2) There are differences in science learning outcomes, among students who follow the Vee Heuristic learning model assisted by video media, with students who follow the direct learning model in groups of students who have high learning motivation with a signification value of 0.001 less than 0.05. (3) There are differences in science learning outcomes, between students who joined the Vee Heuristic learning model assisted by video media, and students who took the direct learning model in groups of students who had low learning motivation with a signification value of 0.001 less than 0.05. The implications in this study are efforts to apply the Vee Heuristic learning model assisted by video media in science learning and efforts to apply direct learning models in science learning, by paying attention to student learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the difference of learning outcomes of science and self efficacy of grade VIII junior high school students using cooperative learning model of STAD assisted by mind map and direct learning model, (2) to describe the difference of learning outcomes of science students of grade VIII of junior high school using cooperative learning model STAD assisted by mind map and direct learning model, and (3) to describe the difference of self efficacy of grade VIII SMP students using cooperative learning model of STAD assisted by mind map and direct learning model. The focus of this research problem is the influence of STAD cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes and self efficacy. This type of research is a quasi-experimental non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kuta Selatan consisting of 30 students. The research sample was taken based on group random sampling technique. The data in this research are the scores of students' science learning outcomes and self efficacy scores analyzed using the Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) test. The result of the research shows that (1) there are differences of learning outcomes of science and self efficacy of students using cooperative learning model of STAD assisted by mind map and direct learning model, (2) there is difference of learning result of science student learning with cooperative model of mind map-assistedSTAD and model direct learning, (3) there are differences in self-efficacy of students who learn with the STAD cooperative model and direct learning models.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran TANDUR berbantuan kartu petunjuk terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Sukasada. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Sukasada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 170 orang yang terdistribusi ke dalam 5 kelas. Sampel penelitian menggunakan 2 kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, dari hasil pengundian terpilih kelas VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol. Data mengenai prestasi belajar matematika siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes essay yang telah valid dan reliable. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji-t satu ekor dengan bantuan SPSS 16.0. Hasil analisis menunjukkan dan sig sebesar dengan taraf signifikasi 5%. Oleh karena itu yang berarti bahwa prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan model pembelajaran TANDUR berbantuan kartu petunjuk lebih baik daripada prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This research aimed to identify and analyze the effectiveness of spotlight book media with SAVI model towards the critical thinking skill of students on IPS studies, 4th Grade of SD N Wangandalem 01 Brebes. This research was a quantitative research with research design that was Pre Experimental Design in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The variable that used by researcher is dependent variable (attached) that was the critical thinking skill of students and independent variable (free) that was spotlight book media with SAVI model. The data collection of this research was giving 10 questions of critical thinking skill of students on pre-test and post test, for getting the different result of critical thinking skill of students between before and after doing that. For applying spotlight book media with SAVI model was obtained the enhancement result of average value of students’ critical thinking skill as much as 15.27% from 63.92 to 79.19.
