Abstract

Living as a broken home child in adolescence tends to have a holistic adverse impact. Broken home adolescents have to go through very difficult and meaningful times. Psychologically broken home adolescents are faced with forming a strong mentality and, as much as possible, interpreting every heavy life event into a meaningful life. This study aims to determine the relationship between resilience and the meaningfulness of life of broken home adolescents. The method used is quantitative with a Spearman rho correlation design. One hundred thirty-five late adolescents aged 18-22 who were in broken homes were used as research participants using an incidental sampling technique. Research measurements used the Resilience Quotient Test (α = 0.874) and the Meaning in Life Questionnaire (α = 0.936). The results prove that resilience is positively and significantly related to the meaning of life of broken home adolescents (r = 0.304 with sig. = 0.000). Resilience contributes 9.2% to the meaningfulness of life. Applying good resilience can help increase the meaningfulness of broken-home adolescents' lives. Future research is expected to design a psychological assistance program according to the broken-home category, to facilitate broken-home adolescents to achieve a healthy life holistically.

Abstract

The high behavior of students' academic procrastination is shown by the attitude of students who often delay doing their daily assignments individually and in groups, stalling for time to collect assignments to the point where some students do not do their work at all. So to overcome these problems, a guidebook is needed. This study aims to develop a product in the form of a guidebook, validate the content of the guidebook, and measure the effectiveness of the self-regulated learning technique of cognitive behavior counseling guidebooks to reduce the academic procrastination behavior of SMK students. The procedure in this development research uses the 4D development procedure. In this study, three guidance counseling lecturers were involved as experts, and two guidance counseling teachers as practitioners with the task of assessing the usefulness, feasibility, and accuracy of the manual. Seven vocational students were used as subjects in a limited trial to assess the effectiveness of the guidebook. The analysis of the results of the limited trial was carried out using a t-test calculation. Data collection in the study was carried out using the questionnaire method with research instruments in the form of media validity and effectiveness test sheets. The results obtained were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the developed guidebook has a score (CVI=0.69) in the appropriate category, and the developed guidebook effectively reduces students' academic procrastination behavior by obtaining a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.002 < α = 0.05. The results of this study have implications for guidance and counseling services in schools.

The pre-test and post-test were used to determine the difference in scores shown by the control and experimental classes. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires and distributed to students involved as research subjects. Then, the data were analyzed with quantitative descriptive and inferential descriptive. The results show the difference in scores between the control and experimental groups. In the experimental class, a post-test score of 133.5 was obtained by the experimental class, and the control class obtained a post-test score of 112. The difference in the mean post-test scores indicated that the class that received the cognitive restructuring group counseling treatment showed a change in behavior as evidenced by the post-test scores, which were higher than the class that did not receive the cognitive restructuring group counseling treatment. It indicates the acceptance of Ha so that there is effectiveness contributed by group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques in increasing student self-confidence.

The subjects involved in this study were three counseling guidance lecturers as Ali, two counseling guidance teachers as practitioners, and seven junior high school students who were used as subjects in a limited trial. Data collection in the study was carried out using the questionnaire method, with the research instrument as a guidebook product validity instrument. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research analysis results show that the t-test obtained a probability score or Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.00, this probability score is smaller than the significance level of 0.05, which means H0 is rejected. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the cognitive behavior counseling guide is in the valid category, so it is effective for increasing student self-confidence.

Abstract

The large number of students who are still shy about expressing opinions and easily feel nervous when doing something shows that the level of self-confidence of students is still relatively low. To overcome these problems, we need media guidance that can help increase student self-confidence. This research aims to produce a product as a behavioral counseling guidebook with discussion techniques and positive reinforcement to increase student self-confidence. This research belongs to the development research developed using the 4D model through the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The subjects involved in this study were five experts/practitioners in guidance and counseling and 32 high school students. Data collection in the study was carried out using questionnaires online via Google form, with the research instrument as a media validity test sheet. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using the CVR (Content Validity Ratio), CVI from Lawshe, and the t-test. The results of the research analysis show that the probability value is 0.000. When compared with a significance level of 0.005, this certainly shows that the significance level is greater than the probability of the data. Based on these results, it can be concluded that a behavioral counseling guidebook with discussion techniques and positive reinforcement to increase high school students' self-confidence is feasible to implement and use in the guidance process.
