Abstract

Accounting conservatism is one of the well-established accounting policies that is used in the field of accounting. In the past, it has been highly praised because conservatism increases the credibility and reliability of financial statements and helps to protect the stakeholders. The sound application of accounting conservatism leads to improve the quality of financial reporting through confessing and disclosing, in the appropriate time, the unwanted news that might face the company. But the company management can have an influence on practicing financial conservatism by intervening in the measurement and disclosure processes of the company results and its financial position, which aims to mislead financial statements users. Although accounting conservatism has been criticized severely due to its contradiction with certain qualitative standards of accounting information, it does not attract local (Iraqi) attention in which it has an important role to enhance financial reporting in the Iraqi environment. Because Iraq tries to attract foreign companies to work and invest in the country, which requires to provide sufficient information to helps them take sound decisions. The study aims to shed light on the relationship between accounting conservatism and the improvement of the quality of financial statements, and the effect of this relationship on the supply chain of the organization in the financial market. Conservatism can be used by the company management as a way of accounting alternatives in an opportunistic and practical way through some accounting policies that the companies apply. In order to reach the study goals, the necessary data and information have been gathered to test the study hypotheses. The study achieves statistically important indicators about the level of accounting conservatism in the financial statements issued by the joint- stock companies in Iraq stock exchange.

Abstract

The Arctic regions with their rich but almost inaccessible natural resources are in the focus of attention of nation states and global business. Problems and potential of sustainable socio-economic development are determined by national priorities, the economy and infrastructure of the Arctic. Interaction of the supply chain strategy and entrepreneurship can unlock the potential of the Arctic through the stimulation of supply chain management and entrepreneurship as a key objective in the development of the region. In this regard, it is crucial to create conditions for developing the labor market based on creative competencies and digital technologies, and the solution of this task will increase the income of the indigenous people. Doing this research, the authors used the results of the studies on the economy of the Arctic regions and the data on the Russian Arctic of the State Statistics Committee of the Russian Federation. Its economic structure includes traditional sectors: reindeer husbandry, hunting, and fishing. Industrial, transport, and energy development of the territories have a negative impact on traditional activities, so that the peoples of the Arctic have to search for new forms and ways of employment, conservation of the environment, and ethno cultural development. The results of expert questionnaires and surveys of the people living in the Arctic regions of the republic indicate the interest of the Arctic population in self-employment and working in tourism as a way of earning their living.

Abstract

Abstract-The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of sustainable supply chain operations on economic, environmental and social performance, which are the three dimensions of corporate sustainability. Africa has been subjected to water stress due to its large part in arid and semi-arid geographical areas and its topographical features and uneven temporal and spatial distribution of rainfall. In this research, an attempt was carried out for water resources management in an arid climate area, the area is the central part of Darb El Arbeain. The study area occupies the central area of Darb EL-Arbeain and bounded by long. 30o 15/ and 30o 25/ E and lat. 23o 55/ and 24o 05/ N, it has an area of about 120 Km2. In this study four suggested exploitation rates of groundwater have been explored using the three-dimensional finite difference flow model (MODFLOW 2005) to simulate the flow system. These scenarios include running the model with abstraction from the aquifers equal 110 %, 180 %, 280 %, and 370 % of calculated initial recharge. The results indicated that the equilibrium could be reached while pumping out from the aquifer in that arid climate area, and the drawdown could be stable after some time depending on the potentiality and heterogeneity of the aquifer.

Abstract

The authors identified and evaluated the key hedonic factors of cadastral value of land for individual housing construction. In order to identify the observed factors determining the value of land plots, linear, power and exponential specifications of the regression hedonic model of cadastral value based on data on 160 land plots in the city were constructed based on the source management. Zelenodolsk in 2019.  The empirical estimates of the specifications presented in the article confirmed the hypothesis about the influence of the distance to the region capital of the Russian Federation, the distance to the railway, the distance to the nearest recreational zone, the distance to the nearest water body, the land area on its cadastral value. The greatest impact on the cadastral value of land plots is the distance to the capital of the Russian Federation and the land area. The influence of the coefficient of the length of the land plot on its cadastral value in all built specifications was not confirmed. The quality of the results was tested using Fisher test, student test, regression equation specification error test (RESET), testing of regression residues on heteroskedasticity and autocorrelation (White test, Breusch-Pagan test).   The results of the empirical estimates confirmed the feasibility of the practical use of this approach to the assessment of the cadastral value of land.

Abstract

The paper aims to identify the determinants of driving factors from FB manufacturers, among the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Malaysia towards the acceptance of halal logistics services via 3rd party local service providers. The data for this quantitative study were obtained from 86 respondents via email approach. The research instrument was constructed from past studies and posted through Google Form and Gmail. The findings of this study exposed some important implications for academic's literature and practical for the halal logistics industry. The R2 value for the research model shows 0.724, indicating that 72.4% of the variance in the extent of the relationship can be explained by halal international logistics, the halal industry, and halal collaboration. Clearly, high demand from the international halal logistics, halal collaboration between the FB industrial sector and government agencies as well as high awareness of halal interests by customers are the factors that pressure on the SMEs to practice halal logistics services. Hopefully, the results of this study would contribute to the growth of research in the area of the halal industry.

Abstract

Abstract- A study of the state of the theory of fuzzy sets shows that until recently in Russia there were almost no studies in the chemical sector of the economy and finance using fuzzy analysis and forecasting, although by that time all necessary prerequisites for modeling financial systems had been created. The current situation in Russia is characterized by a high degree of science lagging behind the requests of state and commercial supply chain management.Fuzzy sets have not been used to date for financial analysis and planning of chemical corporations, evaluating the investment attractiveness of securities, optimizing the stock portfolio, forecasting stock indices and macroeconomic indices. You can also talk about the lack of software based on fuzzy models, although abroad, such software products and information technologies that solve economic problems using fuzzy-plural and related descriptions already exist. In the 80's, software solutions and information technologies began to emerge, solving economic problems using fuzzy-plural and related descriptions. Thus, under the leadership of C. Zopounidis at the Technical University on the island of Crete, an expert system was developed for detailed financial analysis of corporations. A little earlier in Germany, a group led by H. Zimmerman developed a strategic planning system, in which the positioning of the corporation's business is based on fuzzy descriptions of the competitiveness and attractiveness of the business. As an example of such software, you can use expensive complex systems, which include fuzzy logic, which bankers and financiers use to solve the most complicated problems of forecasting financial indicators. The beginning of this process was laid by the Japanese financial corporation. Having set out to automate the game on the securities market, this company attracted about 30 specialists in artificial intelligence.
