Abstract

Abstract- Innovation in supply chain is becoming an increasingly significant factor in the socio-economic development of national economies these days. Continuous innovation plays a crucial role in increasing the competitiveness of social production, profits made by economic entities, economic growth, and, consequently, the national economy. Innovative development cannot occur without the presence of effective mechanisms for financing innovation. The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of innovation and its financing on the economic growth of the Republic of Mordovia – one of the federal subjects of the Russian Federation. The authors conducted a correlation and regression analysis to determine the influence of factors related to innovative development on the volume of the Gross Regional Product (GRP). This method allows identifying key factors influencing the rate of economic growth in the region, as well as to build a forecast of the future GRP. Empirical results indicate that the GRP of the Republic of Mordovia is greatly influenced by the financing of research and development (R & D). The resulting regression equation indicates that the 92% change in the GRP is due to the R & D expenditures, and 8% – the influence of other factors. It was also found that the increase in domestic R & D costs by 1 million rubles results in an increase in the GRP by an average of 200 million rubles. The results indicate that it is necessary to increase R& D financing, provided that its growth is balanced at different stages of innovation.

Abstract

Abstract-With the advancement of information and communication technologies, supply chain integration has been considered a strategic tool for firms to improve their competitiveness. The supply chain integration within processes and between organizations has enhanced value creation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of profitability ratios, capital structure, exchange rates, interest rates, inflation on the value of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia stock exchange in 2008-2017 based on the supply chain management. The analysis technique used multiple regression analysis of panel data. The results showed that profitability ratios, capital structure, exchange rates, interest rates, inflation affect the value of manufacturing companies. The findings are that inflation is the most determining variable in influencing the value of manufacturing companies. The value of manufacturing companies in Indonesia is still influenced by factors such as profitability ratios, capital structure, supply chain strategy and macroeconomics.

Abstract

Study in this paper is concerned with optimization of both quantity of order and selling price together, considering EOQ model for items with depreciating nature. It is based on the few assumptions like rate of demand is dependent on level of stock displayed on shelf as well as per unit selling rate, also, the space for stock display is finite. Two mathematical models are studied to investigate the further revised EOQ modelling for obtaining maximum profits and also develop models for such optimized solutions. Justification and analysis of the work developed and studied is done through sensitivity analysis and numerical examples.

Abstract

This article presents the case study developed over five months in an agrofood company from Southern Sonora. The problem detected was the lack of quantitative information for decision making in the processes of wheat collection, transport, and sales in domestic and international markets. The aim was to build a dynamic interface that would allow observing the quantitative scenarios in the distribution link. The method included the prior analysis of the processes of wheat collection and delivery at the Port of Guaymas to attend to the demands of Algeria, Nigeria, and Venezuela. This article only presents information from deliveries to Algeria as an international destination, where the demand varies from 49 thousand to 86 thousand tons of wheat annually; the organization was looking into how to concentrate all the quantitative information and make decisions based on possible modifications of their collection and delivery policies. The system dynamics methodology employing Stella Architect software generated the development of a dynamic and visual user interface that allowed them to observe each of the quantitative scenarios associated with the amount of wheat that was being moved from the wheat collection centers to the domestic and international destinations. The main conclusions are that decision making supported by a user-friendly and visual dynamic interface allows the interested parties to modify the higher priority indicators and in thus observe the scenarios according to current and future policies in wheat distribution logistics; this establishes that the system dynamics methodology is a practical and reliable development and analysis tool for solutions in the agrofood sector.

Abstract

Abstract- The current paper aimed at identifying the types of integrated organizational vigilance and supply chain strategy available in the organization under study, which is Ibn Al-Atheer Teaching Hospital for Children. In addition, it intended to clarify the correlation and influence between these types and the quality of work life. It adopted the statistical program (SPSS) to reach the results. The research sample consisted of (50) participants including managers and employees. The questionnaire method was used to demonstrate the correlations and influence between the types of organizational vigilance (represented by technological, environmental, commercial and strategic vigilance) and the dimensions of work life quality (represented by participation in decision-making, stability and job security, wages and salaries, promotion and career advancement). The research problem was to show the impact of organizational vigilance represented by its types on the quality of work life. Accordingly, this study mainly hypothesized that there is a correlation and influence between the organizational vigilance and the quality of work life. Moreover, it assumed that the organizational vigilance represented by its types has an overall impact on the quality of work life. Finally, the research reached a set of findings and recommendations confirming that the organization under study has adopted the research variables.

Abstract

The paper considers the possibility of using statistical methods to identify the impact of organizational factors on improving production efficiency. It investigates the existing problems in the application of the grouping method in the analysis of management effectiveness. The authors used a systematic approach to the statistical study of production and management efficiency. Methodological approaches to the integrated assessment of enterprise activities were developed by combining three characteristics in one grouping – the level of technical equipment, labor efficiency and capital productivity. Further research is aimed at developing and examining a generalized assessment of the organizational and technical level of enterprises on the basis of the grouping method.

Abstract

Emergence of coffee shop in recent years has proven the demand of coffee shop in modern lifestyle. Nowadays, visitation to coffee shop has become a common trend for most of the undergraduate students for group discussion or chatting. This study aims to evaluate the preference of undergraduate students from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in selecting the coffee shop based on multiple criteria. There are 19 respondents participating in this study who have visited all the 4 selected coffee shops which are Simple Coffee, Bean Caf, Starbucks and Old Town White Coffee. An Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model is proposed to determine the weight of criteria, priority of coffee shop selection in terms of each criterion and the overall performance of the coffee shop. The findings show that the most important criterion is cleanliness, followed by flavor, store atmosphere, sales promotion, speed of service, price and location. Starbucks is the most preferred coffee shop while the followings are Simple Coffee, Bean Caf and Old Town White Coffee. The significance of this study is to propose a conceptual framework to identify the most preferred coffee shop and the most important criteria in coffee shop selection among the undergraduate students by using AHP model.
