Abstract

Digitalization is knocking at the door of all industries but manufacturing industry is responding comparatively lesser than the other sectors. Poor IT infrastructure can lead towards diminishing performance at all fronts including financial, operational, marketing and supply chain. Trade digitalization can emerge as a savior in industry digitalization era. This study is focused to analyze the influence of IT standardization and integration on supply chain performance in mediating role of trade digitalization. Questionnaire-based survey was conducted in Thailandâ??s manufacturing industry where almost 47 firmsâ?? employees were taken as sample and their responses were analyzed on SPSS and AMOS for statistical findings. Findings have revealed that both dimensions of IT infrastructure have significant impact on supply chain performance and mediating role of trade digitalization was also flagged significant. None of the previous studies had checked trade digitalizationâ??s mediating role in respective relationship which was the originality of this study. Study has its implications for academia, industry and government as IT infrastructure has to be developed in not only Thailandâ??s industry but in all countries locating at Asian belt to enhance supply chain performance.

Abstract

Abstract- The aim of this research is to explore socio-economic risks and challenges, in the modern globalized production landscape from an end-to-end supply chain perspective. Given the sensitivity of a Russian regional economy contribution to its supply chains, any improvement in supply chains strategy will be beneficial for mines and their stakeholders. The objectives of this work were to: (i) test the hypothesis that supply chain management strategy, by mines in a region, significantly affects regional economy; and (ii) develop a methodology to identify the critical backward commodities of a regional economic sector. The complexity of the strategic development of the region is conditioned by the fact that it is necessary to take into account the characteristics of all cities and settlements, to be able to integrate their plans into a single document, which allows to build a single development strategy for the entire territory. The development of a regional development strategy is the most important task of both regional science and the practical activities of regional authorities. The relevance of the study concerning the processes and tools of strategic planning for the development of Russian Federation constituent entities is conditioned by the fact that the quality of strategic documents that determines the success of the territory development in modern, dynamically developing socio-economic conditions. At present, the main agency responsible for the strategic approach to the development of the territory is the Ministry of Economic Development of the corresponding territory, which, in conjunction with the regional government, other ministries and departments, forms a document defining the main development vectors of the Russian Federation constituent entity, and the Ministry is responsible for the quality of this document. Orientation to the strengths or weaknesses of the region can act as the principles for the regional development strategy creation, and the content of the strategy determines which sectors will be priority in terms of their development support, which will be provided with additional sources of financing, and which will be developed independently, without state close attention.

Abstract

The One Belt and One Road Initiative (OBOR) will open up more trade opportunities for Malaysia due to the two trade routes, namely, the land-based Silk Road Economic Belt and the seagoing 21st Century Maritime Silk Road . This paper empirically examines the short-term and long-term relationship between Malaysia s trade balance, real exchange rates (RER), industry production index (IPI), Malaysia s consumer price index (MCPI) and China s consumer price index (CCPI) for the period January 2000 to September 2017. The Malaysia s trade balance is regarded as an explained variable while the MYR-RMB, IPI, MCPI and CCPI will be regarded as explanatory variables. The Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) cointegration test is employed to estimate the long-run relationship between China and Malaysia. Then the Error-Correction model and the error correction term would explain the speed of adjustment in restoring equilibrium in the dynamic model referred to in this paper. The finding shows that the exports in Malaysia would benefit from the real appreciation of MYR and China s inflation. The OBOR will open up more opportunities for Malaysia to generate trade mainly because it involves the belt and the maritime but diplomatic relationship and export constructive policy also important to improve Malaysia trade balance with China

Abstract

In the global business environment, the focus of competition shifts from companies against companies to supply chains against supply chains. A superior company must have an orientation to improve the company's resilience. Based on the literature review, there is no supply chain that clearly affects the company's resilience. Therefore, supply chain construction is needed that is able to develop the company's resilience. The harmony supply chain which is the result of hybridization between lean supply chains and responsive supply chains is expected to be a valid and reliable measurement tool in developing company resilience. A series of studies consisting of harmony supply chain testing as a valid and reliable measurement tool. The software used for testing is SPSS version 20 and AMOS version 18. The test results show that the harmony supply chain is a new construct as a valid and reliable measurement tool

Abstract

The problem of human resource management in the planning and implementation of high-tech projects in innovative enterprises is considered. This problem arises in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution, due to the need for effective implementation of projects using breakthrough technologies, since such projects require a special level of competence of contractors. The procedures for forming an expert commission for evaluating alternative options for the composition of teams of high-tech project performers are described, as well as the process of forming a collective decision in the form of conjunctive consensus. The methodological basis of the described process of collective expert assessment is based on the following tools known in the theory of variational calculus, such as: a – truncated middle calculus, excess ratio, statistics Q, the values selective average. An illustrative example is given of evaluating alternative options for the composition of the project for creating a new model of a self-propelled passenger ramp at a typical aviation profile enterprise

Abstract

This research seeks the development of a supply chain network design, aiming to determine the optimal location of a dairy distribution center and its ideal inventory capacity, considering the location of a company’s facilities as a key factor for financial success, since costs such as inventory and transportation are influenced by network projects. Variables such as logistical costs, taxes, inventories, etc., are considered during the execution of the network design. This study contributes to the area of network design in the supply chain, having a quantitative and exploratory nature. A single case study was carried out in the dairy company, analyzing documents and financial information to decide on the most advantageous place for the distribution center. The Supply Chain Guru software for network optimization, developed by Llamasoft, was used to support this project. This tool has been previously studied and analyzed for this use, since it can bring relevant and complex outcomes. The result was that the optimal location for the new distribution center would be at one of the company’s existing plants, which would bring an economy close to R$ 100,000 in one year of operation.
