The p-values in the result show that all the under-study variables show significant results while the result of relationship between IT practices and supply chain agility is insignificant. The study provides a comprehensive framework in context of supply chain agility and supplier’s modular design. Abstract

Abstract— Innovation is an important activity to ensure the organization's sustainability which strongly depends on the supply chain policy of the system. In addition to generating profits to the organization, innovation should also be an act that can warrant well-being not only to the present generation's life, but to future generations as well and for Islam, including well-being in the hereafter. This means, innovation is not just an ordinary activity, but a responsibility to be implemented. Nevertheless, the approach of innovation between the west and Islam is different. Before an innovation could take place, it is important and worthy for an innovator to comprehend the worldview of both civilizations as there are ethical boundaries that separate the objectives, ways, and direction of an innovation. This article discusses perspective of innovation from both Islamic and western worldview and its relationship with innovation in narrative methodology.

Abstract

The main aims of the study are twofold. First is to understand how social enterprises create social values, and second is to evaluate how the values further grow and create other positive social impacts. While a large number of studies on social enterprise has been conducted to assess the benefits to the society, how the benefits create a spill over effect is yet to be well researched. Hence, there are limitations on linking social enterprise to sustainable development. Given the nature of the study context was exploratory, the study was conducted using the qualitative method, with the focus on six cases of social enterprises in Malaysia. The data was analysed using the constant comparison approach and thematic analysis. The analyses suggest two main findings. One is how the strategies of the business model is imperative in creating the values, which are the management, process, product and service, and marketing. Two is the creation of social values, and their chains. These social values are the creation of partnership inter-innovations, which foster for sharing economy, and further enhance social inclusion and finally cultivate social empowerment through shared ownership, financial independence, self-sustainable and strategic alliance. As the world is facing complex social and economic issues, we suggest social enterprise as an agenda for creating a sustainable public wealth. Research implications and future research are discussed.

Abstract

in the new economic management conditions, the existing models of supply chains in the food industry cannot meet current realities. This makes it relevant to develop models and algorithms for supply chain management, design and use various alternative configurations in order to achieve efficiency and competitive advantages. The proposed algorithm and methodological support for modeling supply chains in the food industry are based on the commodity flow classification according to the importance of resources and take into account modern methods and concepts of logistics. Our research deals with the current problems in supply chain management, production planning, supply and transportation, warehouse management and vehicle selection to maximize the logistics efficiency in the supply chain. The purpose of our research is to study the existing problems in the food supply chain management and to propose a decision-making algorithm for efficient and competitive business development. The study and generalization of theoretical studies in the field of food supply chain management allowed us to identify and formulate the specifics of this industry with the help of the following research methods: selection of logistics intermediaries, forecasting (indicators, flows, etc.), arrangement of nomenclature groups, optimization under risk conditions, statistical methods in data processing.Based on the research results and the methods described in it, a supply chain management algorithm is proposed. It will provide optimization and control in supply chain management. An algorithm for systematizing and efficient management of the supply chain of the â??Klinskyâ? meat-packing plant is also suggested.

Abstract

Supply Chain Finance (SCF) is a relatively recent thinking in Supply Chain Management literature. In article the comparative characteristic of the main instruments of bank financing of foreign economic activity (foreign trade activities) reflecting specifics of each tool and the main criteria for selection of financing of a concrete type by subjects of foreign trade activities is given by considering the supply chain strategy. For this purpose the main instruments of financing of foreign trade activities are defined and also schemes of their functioning, subjects of the relations, advantages and shortcomings are considered. As the main instruments of financing of foreign trade activities such tools as the letter of credit, leasing, factoring and forfaiting are analyzed. On the basis of statistical data the current state of foreign economic activity is analyzed, the trends of development of economy influencing activity of subjects of foreign trade activities are revealed. The standard and legal aspect of functioning the credit-substitutive tools in Russia is considered, the current and potential changes capable to influence further development of bank financing of foreign trade activities are analyzed. The system assessment of instruments of financing of foreign trade activities in terms of nonspecific risks is carried out. The problems interfering full and effective use of such foreign trade activities tools as factoring and forfaiting are revealed. As a result of a research the problems interfering development of instruments of bank financing of foreign trade activities in Russia and also the reasons constraining introduction of separate foreign tools in the Russian financial market are revealed. Conclusions that additional stimulation of development of factoring has reasonable character as the greatest advantage to the participant of foreign trade activities is reflected in increase in a turn and the profit of the organization are received. At the same time forfaiting can become an alternative to the usual credit in the long term as would allow the client to receive all sum of shipment at once, to issue longer delay of payment.

Abstract

This system is proposed to develop a web-based inventory information system for Network Solution & Support (NSS) department of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Perak. The purpose of this study is to replace the conventional method which is the manual file system for managing inventory to online system where it can help to save the time especially in the process of updating the new inventory information. Besides that, the conventional method also contains the risk of duplicated files and leads to data redundancy and cost the memory wastage. NSS Inventory Information System is an alternative way to replace the manual file system so that multiple users can access the same data simultaneously at different stations. In addition, NSS Inventory Information System is based on Rapid Application Development (RAD) as the methodology where it involves the process of Requirement Planning, User Design, Construction and Cutover. Furthermore, it is developed by using Java programming language based on Vaadin Framework and MySQL as a database. Based on the testing and usability study, the result is very satisfying based on the staffs from NSS department and the contribution is able to help NSS department from TNB to update the inventory list by replacing the manual file system to a proper information system.
