Abstract

Supply chain global dependency has been arisen in the last years and supply chain managers want to know if the manufacturing purchasing managers’ index and export/import dependency rate data are effective qualitative key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor possible supply chain risk effects in a proper way. The aim of this study is to address this question performing an analysis of the current KPIs in the main affected countries in Europe (Italy) and Asia (China). After a review of the literature on Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) and published official statistics in China, Italy and Germany, a case study focused on a set of interviews with practitioners based on a firm located in Germany was used to generate uncaptured insights in previous research of the area. Official KPIs and firms’ supplier specific KPIs like delivery performance are key to monitor possible Supply chain disruptions. Moreover, increasing regular bidirectional communication with firms’ suppliers generates trust and it is one of the most critical issues which can positively influence on firm’s performance. A regular follow-up of authorities’ updates in terms of restrictions at local, national and international level should be considered too. This paper identifies manufacturing purchasing managers’ index and export/import dependency rate data as effective qualitative KPIs to monitor possible supply chain risk effects and disruptions in a structured manner and to outline future research opportunities in the field of SCRM.

Abstract

Citizens’ perceiving m-government service quality has become a large challenge for the improvement of m-government in Jordan. This research has produced a model m-government service quality, the perceived service quality on m-government context upon citizens' trust and their willingness to use it, little attention has been given to examining the perceived service quality which contributed by m-government from citizens' perspective. This paper presents a systematic and analytical review of the contemporary literature on citizens’ perceiving m-government SQ, with a singular focus on the common critical factors affecting citizens toward m-government SQ. The prior literature was recognized through eight well-known journals, from 2004 to 2017. Academic studies were examined if they contained a relevant discussion of the antecedents or factors influencing citizens’ perceptions in the m-government context. This research supports the elements of m-government service quality by (PLS) analysis and then examines the proposed conceptual model using modeling of the structural equation. The conclusions of the study present that the concept of m-government service quality has three relevant dimensions: ease of use, trust, and web design are positively correlated with the m-government service quality.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the impact of environmental attitude, green satisfaction, green trust, and green perceived quality on Green Purchase Intention (GPI) with the moderation of Environmental Concern (EC) in the fast moving consumer goods. The FMCG industry of Jordan was targeted to collect data. The quantitative approach was adopted for collecting data with using purposive sampling. The PLS-SEM analysis was implemented using SmartPLS 3.2.8. Environmental attitude and green perceived quality have positive but statistically insignificant effect on GPI while green satisfaction and green trust have positively significant effect on GPI. Furthermore, the effect of environmental attitude, green perceived quality, green satisfaction, and green trust have been positively moderated by the EC. Establishing and pushing pro-environmental tendencies with the help of increasing environmental awareness is one of the most important factors in the developing countries also including Jordan.

Abstract

Abstract— Delivery performance provides an indication of how successful the supply chain is at providing products and services to the customer. In modern conditions, electronic commerce of supply chain is developing very dynamically. The significant increase in the level of competition in this sector due to this leads to the need to find new ways to attract and retain customers in supply chain system. In this regard, the relevance of the study related to finding criteria for the competitiveness of online stores is not in doubt. The paper discusses aspects concerning the formation of competitive advantages of online stores to gain customer loyalty and improve the quality of service. Such advantages are primarily associated with increased comfort for buyers along the entire path of making a purchase, starting with the search and accumulation of information about products and purchase conditions and ending with the receipt of goods. The authors have studied factors significant for customers to choose online stores, as well as the reasons for refusing online purchases. Buyers in the Internet commerce segment note among the main reasons for refusing a purchase the difficulties in returning goods purchased on the network and in solving problems arising during the purchase and delivery of an order; they also express concern about the quality of the goods, and also note problems with the delivery of goods. As a result of the study, it was found that the factors of convenience of making an order, as well as the convenience of receiving a purchase, are priority, while the price factor has somewhat lost its significance. When choosing an online store, a significant number of buyers study the conditions for the delivery of goods and make purchase decisions based on supply chain process. At the same time, it becomes essential for buyers to customize the delivery parameters to suit their needs.

Abstract

Abstract— Supply chain tourism has become one of the world’s major travel activities. In Sabah, it is one of the main contributors to the state’s economy as most travellers visiting Sabah will engage in this type of tourism. In order to acknowledge the services and activities offered, a study was carried out to determine the local Sabahan visitors’ perception toward the supply chain tourism activities offered at Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. In addition, the study highlighted the impacts of those supply chain activities on the island’s environment. A self-administrated questionnaire was used as the main data collection tool. It was distributed to local visitors on four islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, namely Manukan, Mamutik, Sapi and Gaya Island. The results of the study indicated that most of the local Sabahan visitors were aware of the existence of supply chain tourism activities, and they were satisfied with the services offered at Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. The study also revealed that the supply chain activities would not bring harm to the environment as they perceived the activities would bring benefit to the economy. However, there is an urgency to improve the amenities and signage on the islands involved. This current study is beneficial for policymakers and tourism operators in Malaysia, particularly Sabah. The study’s findings have given perceptive evidence and data for Sabah Park management and Sabah Tourism Board to outline promotional approaches that can entice more tourists to visit the island in future and to sustain the islands’ environment for the long term.

Abstract

Abstract- Global supply chains have become a common way of organizing investment, production and trade in the global economy. In many countries, particularly developing countries, they have created employment and opportunities for economic and social development. During the employment relationship, both the employers and the foreign workers must comply with the norms of employment while the local governments must cooperate with the Immigration Offices to supervise the employment of foreign workers. The purpose of this research was to find out about the implementation of supply chain management over foreign workers. The data was collected through observation, interviews, and literature review. The study was conducted in Palu City, Morowali Regency, and North Morowali Regency. The results showed that the supply chain management of foreign workers in Central Sulawesi Province had not been conducted optimally due to the lack of supervisors. On the other hand, the revocation of supply chain management by the regional government increasingly leads to the implementation of ineffective and inefficient control.

Abstract

Following a disaster, humanitarian logistics service providers (HLSP) noted that besides their challenging job they are also facing high employee turnover. The main purpose of this article is to extend a precise assessment platform and provide a theoretical basis for increasing the understanding of the turnover of staff in humanitarian logistics (HL). Based on the identified variables leading to turnover of employee, this paper analyzes these variables affecting turnover of an employee in HL, using interpretive structural modeling (ISM) approach to evolve a model of hierarchy and categorized the interrelationships among these variables. In line with research conducted previously, the study identified and updated 16imperativeemployee turnover variables out of 24 as a key performance evaluation of HL. These variables can be categorized into eight levels, which denote the driving power from higher to lower. The study findings indicate that not all variables to employee turnover in HL require the same level of concentration. Out of 16 variables, there is a group of eight variables that have high driving control and low reliance, these variables are of strategic importance and require maximum attention. Also, another group contains six variables they have a low driving power but high reliance, whereas the one variable is in the linkage category between lower and upper-level variables. This categorization will help relief agencies to distinguish between dependent and independent variables that are imperative for improving the issue of employee turnover in HL. This article is the first to discuss employee turnover using ISM in the context of HL. The developed framework herein provides a precise guideline for HL to enhance their performance, as well as to promote the efficient application of resources through employee retention. Key Words:  Humanitarian logistics, Employee turnover, interpretive structural modeling
