Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential of local wisdom in Jambi Province in supporting the development of a sharia-based economy. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach and field data, the research finds that local values such as gotong royong (mutual cooperation), musyawarah (deliberation), and traditional trading ethics embody principles aligned with Islamic economic teachings. These cultural values not only reflect social norms but also serve as a foundation for an ethical and sustainable economic system. Therefore, integrating local wisdom into sharia economic policy is essential for the contextual success of the Islamic economic framework.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine and substantiate, through empirical evaluation, the ramifications of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) enactment, Return on Assets (ROA), and organizational magnitude upon the valuation of enterprises within the Islamic insurance domain. The investigatory locus encompasses sharia-compliant insurers—comprising general takaful entities, re-takaful institutions, and wholly sharia-oriented corporations—authorized under the auspices of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Conceptually, GCG is construed as an integrated managerial framework purposed to augment stakeholder equity, pivoting upon two cardinal doctrines: (1) the prerogative of proprietors to access lucid and verifiable disclosures, and (2) the corporate imperative to furnish accurate, timely, and transparent reporting. Methodologically, this study adopts a quantitative paradigm employing multiple linear regression analysis via the SPSS v26 analytical suite. The investigational cohort was delineated through a purposive sampling strategy, sourced from a census of 32 OJK-registered sharia insurance institutions listed on the official portals of the OJK and the Indonesia Stock Exchange, culminating in a representative subset of four firms. Empirical outcomes elucidate that GCG implementation exerts a statistically significant inverse influence on enterprise valuation. Conversely, ROA manifests a positive and significant association with firm worth, while organizational scale reveals a significant negative correlation. In light of these deductions, it is posited that sharia insurance operators ought to fortify their corporate valuation by advancing GCG enactment synergistically with optimized ROA performance, while strategically calibrating institutional size for value maximization. Abstract

Poverty remains a pressing and complex social challenge that requires diligent attention and strategic intervention from both regional and central governments, as its presence can trigger a cascade of societal problems. Numerous interrelated factors contribute to poverty, including population growth, the prevalence of unemployment, and the Human Development Index (HDI), which serves as a comprehensive indicator of a community’s overall well-being, education, and standard of living. This study seeks to examine and illuminate the intricate ways in which population size, unemployment rate, and HDI collectively shape and influence poverty levels in Jambi Province. Employing a rigorous quantitative research design, the study draws upon secondary data meticulously compiled by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the period spanning 2019 to 2023. To uncover the nuanced dynamics and causal relationships among these socioeconomic variables, the analysis is conducted using panel data regression, specifically through the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), offering valuable insights into the multifaceted nature of poverty in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the influence of personality factors and environmental factors on repurchase intention of green beauty products in Rokan Hulu Regency. The research background is based on the growing public awareness of eco-friendly products, although challenges remain in encouraging repurchase, particularly in developing regions. A quantitative approach was employed with purposive sampling, involving consumers who had purchased and used green beauty products. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that both personality and environmental factors significantly affect repurchase intention. However, environmental factors (O = 0.386; T = 6.704; p = 0.000) exert a more dominant influence compared to personality factors (O = 0.244; T = 3.852; p = 0.000). This finding emphasizes that social norms, peer and family influence, as well as environmental awareness play a stronger role in determining repurchase decisions than individual characteristics. The R-square value of 0.302 suggests that the model explains 30.2% of the variance in repurchase intention, while the remaining variance is influenced by factors outside the model. The study concludes that green beauty marketing strategies in Rokan Hulu should focus more on strengthening social norms, community engagement, and environmental-based campaigns to enhance consumer loyalty. The practical implication is that companies should leverage the power of social environment, supported by personality-based segmentation, to sustain repurchase of eco-friendly products.

Abstract

This study aims to reassess sharia compliance and ethical consumerism in the process of halal market digitalization and the development of sharia e-commerce in Indonesia amid the era of technological disruption. The approach used is normative-fiqh combined with a comparative analysis between fiqh muamalah provisions, DSN-MUI fatwas, and Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations, with empirical case studies on three main platforms: Tokopedia Salam, Halal.id, and Alami Sharia. The results of the study show a gap between Sharia legal norms and actual practices in the digital space, particularly in terms of electronic contracts, the potential for gharar, riba, and tadlis. DSN-MUI fatwas have provided a legal basis for digital financial innovation, but their implementation has not been integrated with a digital Sharia audit system that is adaptive to technological developments such as smart contracts and AI-based verification. Empirically, Tokopedia Salam excels in market inclusion but is weak in halal verification, Halal.id excels in product transparency but has the potential for usury in its payment system, while Alami Sharia demonstrates the strongest sharia compliance model through DSN supervision and the application of mudharabah contracts. Theoretically, this research contributes to the development of a conceptual model of the Digital Sharia Governance Framework that integrates the principles of maqasid al-syariah with digital economic governance. The practical implications encourage policy harmonization between DSN-MUI, OJK, and BPJPH to form an inclusive, transparent, and equitable digital halal ecosystem in accordance with Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy and internet penetration on Islamic financial inclusion in Indonesia during the period 2021–2025. The increasing use of digital technology and the development of the Islamic financial industry necessitate a deeper understanding of the factors that influence the affordability and use of Islamic financial products by the public. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from official publications of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia, and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis was conducted using a multiple linear regression model to test the significance of the independent variables' influence on the dependent variable. The results show that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on Islamic financial inclusion, particularly through increasing public understanding of Islamic financial principles and the benefits of Islamic products in financial management. In addition, internet penetration has also been proven to have a positive and significant effect, given that the digitization of Islamic financial services such as mobile banking, Islamic fintech, and halal e-wallets facilitates public access to financial products and services. These findings confirm that the synergy between improving financial literacy and expanding digital infrastructure is very important in expanding Islamic financial inclusion in Indonesia. This study is expected to contribute to policymakers, Islamic financial institutions, and digital industry players in formulating effective and sustainable strategies to increase financial inclusion.
