Abstract

The intention of pesantren Tebuireng establishment in 1899 aimed to produce the Islamic scholars who have a sense of nationalism. The establishment preceded for 13 years before Nahdatul Ulama established in 1926, whereas madrasah or school was one important thing to fight for as it was considered has paramount value for the nation. Through Jihad resolution, Hasyim Asy’ari (1945) confirmed the important role of education. The fatwa asserted on October 22, 1945, constituted a proof of his contribution to education. Indonesian education was believed that it won’t be conducted as well in colonialism. Hashim Ash'ari came forth with at least twenty one inscriptions in the form of book and treatise, which was dedicated to the advancement of in Indonesian education.

Abstract

A stronger aspirations for autonomy and decentralization of education can not be separated from the reality of the two conceptual weaknesses in organizing the national education; (1) the national education policy is central and uniform, in which turns ignoring the diversity in accordance with the reality of economy, culture of Indonesian society, (2) national education policy orientation is to achieve the certain targets, such as curriculum targets, in which turn disregarding the effective learning process that is able to reach all areas and students’ potency. This article shows the decentralization of education that significantly contributes the development of Islamic education. With an autonomy of school educational institutions, developing the Islamic education through curriculum development to promote the inculcation of Islamic values to students.

Abstract

Secara epistemologis model pendidikan di Indonesia di bangun melalui tahapan setapak demi setapak. Model pendidikan paling awal diperkenalkan di Indonesia adalah model per-cantrik-an, model ini menempatkan pendidik (resi, master, ustadz) sebagai guru sekaligus pemimpin spiritual secara individu. Kedua, model pendidikan dalam bentuk padhepokan atau biara, model ini mendapat inspirasi model guru-kula dari India, dalam model ini kepemimpinan pendidikan mulai bersifat kelembagaan. Ketiga, model pendidikan pesantren,  model ini mendapat inspirasi model persaudaraan Sufi, Kuttab, Ribat, dan Hankah yang dikombinasi dengan model pendidikan guru-kula yang diberi corak ke-Islam-an, pendidikan tidak hanya bersifat profan, melainkan juga sakral. Keempat, model persekolahan (schooling system), model ini dibawa ke Indonesia oleh kolonialis Belanda, model ini mengacu pada  desakralisasi peran pimpinan lembaga pendidikan. Kelima, model madrasah, model ini merupakan kombinasi antara model sekolah umum dengan model pesantren,  jadi pelajarannya adalah materi umum yang bermuatan nilai-nilai agama Islam.

Abstract

The development of modern education requires Muslims to revitalize Islamic education system, both institutional and scientific structure. Institutionally, Indonesian Muslims have a unique system of educational institutions which is different from common boarding school in general, namely Pesantren. Pesantren education system when combined with the University system (faculty of several different sciences under one roof), can be proposed as a pilot project to develop a universal science; without religion-science dichotomy based on Tawheed paradigm (unity) in accordance with Qur 'anic education theory.

Abstract

In effort to manage a society or an organization, it is needed an ability to planning, organizing, moving the members and taking care, also supervising or evaluating all of activities in the organization. Now, it is famously called management. It has an important role in human life, because management is a part of human activities that cannot be separated from human life both as individual or as part of society. Thus, management science is a must for human, both as individual or a part of group, even for an organization that in its activities combine human resources to reach some certain goals. In education, the thing that needed is education management, by which an educational institution can achieve its aims and goals.

Abstract

Peningkatan membaca al-Qur’an menjadi hal penting dalam dunia pendidikan. Dengan mempelajari al-Qur’an maka diharapkan tingkat spiritual anak didik meningkat, sehingga akan berdampak kepada ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor anak didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa upaya guru dalam meningkatan kemampuan membaca al-Qur’an di SMP Islam Muqorrobin Singosari Malang dilakukan dengan pertama, optimalisasi pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran intra kulikuler. Kedua, optimalisasi proses pembelajaran ekstra kulikuler. Ketiga, evaluasi pembelajaran. Kempat, penambahan sarana dan prasarana. Kelima, Peningkatan kualitas Guru.

Abstract

The motivation of teachers in improving student learning creativity. The teacher how you can generate a potential student- to foster a strong sense of encouragement that would give effect to the spirit of learning. Motivation can be summed up in outline arise because of two factors, namely; factors intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic factor is faker than in human beings, which can be the attitude, personality, experience, knowledge, ideas. Extrinsic factors are factors outside of man, these factors form a superior style of leadership, encouragement or guidance of someone, the development of the situation and so on. Yet despite the above is different factors, but two factors emerge due to a stimulus. Abstract

Islam presented a faith, science, and morality based civilization. A civilization that can‘t be separated from the role of education. As education is to develop the human potency; physical potential, creativity potency, taste and will, education constitutes as the lifeblood of civilization. The advancement of Islamic education that took place for a long time between 1 H and 11 H, with the peak of advancement from 3 H to 7 H, indicated that through qualified education Muslims were able to respond to the needs and demands of times. This article attempts to reconcile the Islamic education base and its objectives with world pretension such as globalization.

Abstract

The current  moral decline of this nation, more or less was the impact of low achievement in moral education. To point out, there have been endless white collar criminals and corruptions, illegal logging, violence and anarchy, inter students’ gang fight, and the castration of humanity. The failure of such moral education often be addresed as the failure of Religion Education particularly Islam, since Elementary until Higher Education/University.The failure of education in Islamic Religion supposed to be related to a set of problems. Among these problems are curricula, teacher/educator, method and the dychotomic view between religious education and scientific one that it should be taught integrally. This writing will try to analize the mentioned problems and it possible  solution.

Abstract

In the year 1980, NU was growing in new enthusiasm in education development and intellectual tradition of Islam and also various effort improve; repair social and economy of NU followers, especially who live in the village. In this year NU also develops the effort of religious discourse in development. The basic reason of this effort for NU is meant to hold firmness one of the four madzhab ( Maliki, Hanafi, Syafi’i, and Hambali) , but not rarely NU people who like to use ijtihad as one of the way of to comprehend Islam openly and is lenient. Religious pattern in this wide of NU. NU which initially follow Asy’ari and Maturidi in the field of tauhid, Imam Junaid Al Baghdadi in tasawuf, by degrees all various a new wrinkle able to relevant between Ahlusunnah Wal Jamaah with plurality of life believe in existing reality. In facing social change, NU have owned motto: “ Maintain good old value and look for better new value”. With this motto NU seems in thinking of education in Indonesia go trough strategic position. Through activity conducted by NU during the time, NU have given contribution which enough mean to growth idea of education in Indonesia. It can be witnessed shifting of understanding of Islam having the character of textual become contextual. So that by conducting integral view can be change religious view of Indonesian nation have the character of incluusive one
