Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of bullying among students of SMPN 3 Candi. Many students like to engage in verbal and non-verbal bullying such as hitting their friends' heads and taunting them using animal names. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between parent-child interpersonal communication and bullying behavior. This research method is quantitative with a population of 842 students of SMPN 3 Candi and a sample of 247 students based on the Isaac & Michael table with a 5% error rate. The sample determination uses a proportionate stratified random sampling technique to determine the number of samples in each class because the population in this study is not homogeneous and proportionally stratified. The variables in this study are parent-child interpersonal communication and bullying behavior variables. Data collection in this study uses two psychological scales of Likert scale models adopted from previous studies. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a negative relationship between parent-child interpersonal communication and bullying behavior. Data analysis in this study uses the Pearson product moment correlation statistical test with the help of SPSS 26.0 for Windows. The results of the study showed that there was a negative relationship between interpersonal communication between parents and children and bullying behavior at SMPN 3 Candi with a value of r = -0.395 with a significance value of 0.004 (p <0.05).

The data analysis technique was carried out by descriptive analysis, statistical assumptions, and correlation with the product moment method. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between peer conofmity and student self-regulation. The results of the analysis with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 with the acquisition of r count 0.332 which is interpreted as a low correlation. Abstract

Academic procrastination is a common issue among students, where they tend to delay assignments until approaching the deadline, which negatively affects academic performance and increases stress. This study aims to identify the factors influencing procrastination among Guidance and Counseling students at the University of Jambi. The research utilizes a quantitative method with a descriptive approach, involving 184 students as samples, selected through the total sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 19 statements, with a reliability of 0.849 and an r table of 0.320. The data were analyzed using the C formula percentage to measure the level of academic procrastination. The results show that aspect 1, with 6 statement items, obtained the highest score in the 2021 cohort, aspect 2, with 7 statement items, had the highest score in the 2022 cohort, and aspect 3, with 6 statement items, also had the highest score in the 2022 cohort. Future studies are suggested to explore other aspects not covered by this research.
