Abstract

The research is aimed to know the dose of Roselle in the feed that produce the best of the daily growth rate, survival rate and feed efficiency on Hard-Lipped Barb Fry. The research was using completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were differences in dose of Roselle in the feed (0, 10, 20, 30, and 40 g of Roselle/kg of feed). The results of the research showed that the treatment of 40 g of Roselle/kg of feed have been given significantly different effect (P <0,05) against  the daily growth rate and feed efficiency, respectively 2,02% and 27,55%. Keywords: Hard-Lipped Barb, Roselle, growth.

Abstract

This reasearch has been conducted at The Fisheries Laboratory, Agricultural Faculty, Djuanda University, Bogor, on December 2016 – May 2017. The research is aimed to knowthe best concentration of  Keong Masshell mealto increase the growth rate and survival rate of freshwater lobster. The experimental research used completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were  K (the commercial shrimp artificial feed), A (the artificial feed with 5% the shell meal of Keong Mas), B the artificial feed with 7% the shell meal of Keong Mas), and C (the artificial feed with 9% the shell meal of Keong Mas). The test shrimp were the freshwater Lobster sized 3.5 – 4.5 cm and was fed at satiation twice a day. The daily growth rate, the feed efficiency, survival rate, and water quality has been observed. The results of research showed there were not a  significantly different between the treatments (P>0.05) against the daily growth rate, the feed efficiency, and survival rate of the freshwater Lobster.The shell meal of Keong Mas could be as a Calcium source. The Keong Mas meal can subtitute 100% fish meal of artificial feed thus could be the alternate standard material of the fish meal of the freshwater Lobster feed.Water quality in aquaculture media still on the range of feasible for the freshwater Lobster culture. Keywords: Freshwater Lobster, Keong Mas, Feed, Growth

Abstract

Catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) is a local fish which has a potential for culture, but the most high mortality occurres in larval stage. The water quality is one factor that causes high mortality. The purpose of this experiment is to evaluate the optimal growth and survival performances of catfish culture with probiotic application that containing Pseudomonas sp. and Bacillus sp. Fish test in this experiment was catfish with 21 of ages, 0.11±0.03g in body weight and 2.04±0.30 cm in total length. Experimental design used complete randomize design consisted of three treatments and three replications for each treatment. The treatments were probiotic utility that containing i.e. A) without adding bacteria (control), B) adding Pseudomonas sp, and C) adding Bacillus sp. Fish culture was 60 days with feeding frequently three times a day (08:00; 14:00; and 20:00). Test paramaters were survival, length growth and weight growth, feeding conversion ratio, blood glucose, and water quality. The result of this experiment showed that the catfish with adding probiotic containing Pseudomonas sp can increase in survival (82.1%), accelerate the length growth (6.08 cm) and weight absolute growth (4.24g). Feed efficiency was 1.42, no fish stress, and improved of water quality. Key words: catfish fry, probiotic, growth, survival

Abstract

The research is aimed to know the supplementation effect of different concentration of Spirulina platensis fluor on artificial feed against the growth and feed efficiency of goldfish. The experimental research was carried out on September 2018 until April 2019 at The Fisheries Laboratory, Djuanda University, Bogor. The experimental research used completely randomized design with 4 treatments and each 3 replications. The treatments are K (Control, without supplementation of Spirulina platensis fluor), A (30 g of Spirulina platensis fluor + 1 kg  of artificial feed), B (60 g of Spirulina platensis fluor + 1 kg  of artificial feed), and C (90 g of Spirulina platensis fluor + 1 kg  of artificial feed). The total length growth, the weight growth, feed efficiency, and water quality (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and NH3) had been evaluated.  The results of research showed there was  a significantly different between treatments for the growth and feed efficiency (P<0.05).  The best results were obtained in treatment B with an average total length growth of 2.19 cm, average weight growth of 1.51 g, and average feed efficiency of 30.26%. Water quality during the research are temperaure of 25.6-27.5oC, pH of 7.2-8.3,  DO of 6.2-7.1 mg/L, and NH3 of 0.01-0.30 mg/L.Key words : Goldfish, Spirulina platensis, growth, feed efficiency

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan teknik silase dan spray dried terhadap daya cerna tepung darah pada ikan Nila. Penelitian ini memakain Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan masing-masing 3 ulangan. Sebagai perlakuan adalah tepung darah tanpa teknik pengolahan (kontrol), tepung darah dengan teknik silase, dan tepung darah dengan teknik spray dried. Percobaan menggunakan benih Nila berbobot 7,0 g, tiap akuarium berisi 20 ekor benih ikan Nila. Nilai kecernaan protein, nilai kecernaan lemak, nilai kecernaan energi, dan nilai kecernaan total dievaluasi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan ada perbedaan diantara perlakuan secara nyata terhadap nilai kecernaan protein, nilai kecernaan lemak, nilai kecernaan energi, dan nilai kecernaan total (P<0,05). Nilai kecernaan protein, nilai kecernaan lemak, nilai kecernaan energi, dan nilai kecernaan total  tertinggi dari perlakuan teknik silase adalah 96,56%, 90,48%, 94,15%, dan 92,08%.Kata Kunci: Silase darah, spray dried, nilai kecernaan, ikan Nila

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung paci-paci (Leucas lavandulaefolia) yang dicampurkan pada pakan terhadap mortalitas dan gambaran darah benih ikan nilem (Osteochilus hasselti) yang diuji tantang menggunakan bakteri Aeromonas hydrophila sehingga menghasilkan kelangsungan hidup yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2015 sampai bulan September 2015 di Laboratorium Perikanan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Djuanda Bogor. Ikan nilem dipelihara selama 30 hari kemudian dilakukan uji tantang dengan bakteri Aeromonas hydrophila dengan konsentrasi 107 sel/mL, dilakukan pengamatan sampai hari ke-35 dan kembali dilakukan uji tantang kedua dengan konsentrasi bakteri 108 sel/mL dan dilakukan pengamatan sampai hari ke-38. Selama melakukan penelitian ikan diberi pakan dengan campuran tepung paci-paci dengan dosis 4g/kg, 6g/kg, dan 8g/kg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung paci-paci tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P>0,05) pada tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nilem, tetapi terdapat beberapa perbedaan pada kadar hemoglobin dan hematokit. Perlakuan tepung paci-paci dengan dosis 4 g/kg memberikan gambaran darah yang cukup baik dibandingkan dengan perlakuan yang lain.Kata kunci : Ikan nilem, paci-paci, Aeromonas hydrophila, mortalitas, gambaran darah

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui jenis pakan alami yang menunjang kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan yang tinggi untuk benih ikan Maanvis. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga perlakuan, yaitu A (Tubifex sp. hidup), B (Cacing darah beku), dan C (Daphnia sp. beku). Ikan yang dipergunakan ialah benih ikan Maanvis berukuran 3,0 – 3,5 cm dan diberi pakan secara ad libitum 3 kali sehari. Parameter yang diukur meliputi kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan. Pemberian pakan alami berupa Tubifex sp. memberikan pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang total terbaik yaitu 3,05 g dan 2,64 cm. Pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang total terendah pada perlakuan pemberian pakan Daphnia sp. yaitu 0,61g dan 0,84 cm. Semua perlakuan menghasilkan kelangsungan hidup 100%.

Abstract

Analisis kelayakan bisnis pemanfaatan kima secara berkelanjutan merupakan salah satu upaya memberikan alternatif kebijakan pemanfaatan kima hasil budidaya. Kelayakan ini diperlukan sebagai referensi bagi para pelaku usaha dan pemangku kebijakan dalam mengelola kima secara berkelanjutan untuk kesejahteraan rakyat Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil kasus di Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, pengembangan investasi bisnis pemanfaatan kima berkelanjutan dinyatakan layak secara ekonomi, berdasarkan kriteria kelayakan nilai NPV sebesar Rp. 13,65 juta, IRR sebesar 14,34%, BCR sebesar 1,09 dan PBP sebesar 4,51 tahun.Kata kunci: kima, bisnis berkelanjutan, kelayakan ekonomi, Tapanuli Tengah

Abstract

The objective of this study is to measure the potential economic value of fisheries in the area of conservation of seagrass meadows on the eastern coast of Bintan island. The result of this study could became a policy input for managing sustaibale fisheries resources. The presence of seagrass ecosystem could support carrying capacity of the surrounding area of seagrass for growing related biotas that associated with the seagrass ecosystem. The number of benefit of seagrass ecosystem could be measured by production surplus approach. The result of analysis shows that the economic value of fisheries of seagrass ecosystem is equal to the fisheries economic IDR 92.73 billion or IDR 558.28 million hectare-1 year-1 in 2016. The maximum economic yield (MEY) of this artisanal fisheries is 5032 ton year-1 with the number of effort should be maintained at 5281 trip of net fishing gear. A sustainable fisheries management should be maintained in the level of harvest and effort in MEY condition in order to give a maximum benefit to the fishermen and sustaible to the fisheries. Keywords:  seagrass ecoystem, seagrass fisheries, bioeconomic of seagrass fisheries, eastern coast of Bintan island, maximum economic yield

Abstract

This research was carried out on March to August, 2018, and the experiment on April to June, 2018 at the Fishery Laboratory, Djuanda University Bogor. The objective of research is to know and analyze the survival rate and feed conversion ratio of Giant Gouramy that cultured on biofloc media and different protein levels. The experimental design that used is completely randomized design   with 2 treatments   and 6 replications.  The treatments are  treatment A (feeding of protein level  of 17% + mollase addition  with C,/N  ratio 12) and treatment B (feeding of protein  level  of  30%  without  mollase)  Fish that used is Giant Gouramy fry with length 5-7 cm that maintained cylinder container of diameter 1 m and height 1 m. The results of research that the artificial feeding of protein level of 17% + mollase addition with C/N ratio 12 gives the survival rate which is better, but the feed conversion ratio is bad. The average of the highest survival rate of Giant Gouramy is 89% (treatment A) and the low feed conversion ratio is 1.6 (treatment B). Water  quality during the research are temperature  of  23,6-30,0 °C, dissolved oxygen of 6.4- 8.8 mg/l and  pH of 6,3-8,8.Key words: Giant Gouramy, biofloc, feed conversion ratio, protein level.
