Abstract

This paper is a philosophical reflection and analysis by the writer, who is doing research on religious radicalism in Indonesia. The main idea is the principle of religious harmony as a social norm and ethical idealism. From the perspective of philosophical and religious ethics, the condition of harmonious diversity represents the social-good that should be manifested in ways that justified ethically as well. Theoritically, the norm of harmony contains etiquettes, rational consideration, and can be justified in terms of obligations and responsibilities, and in line with the principles of moderation.Keywords: Religious harmony, Ethics, Religion.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan yang terjadi pada masyarakat Samin Bojonegoro dengan menggunakan teori Pembagian Kerja dan Solidaritas Sosial Emile Durkheim. Yaitu perubahan sosial dari masyarakat tradisional menuju masyarakat modern. Menurut Emile Durkheim, peningkatan sistem pembagian kerja pada masyarakat berimplikasi pada perubahan tipe solidaritas sosialnya, yaitu pada masyarakat dengan sistem pembagian kerja yang sangat sedikit akan menghasilkan tipe soli-daritas mekanik, sedangkan pada masyarakat dengan pembagian kerja yang kompleks akan menghasilkan tipe solidaritas organik. Dimulai dengan mendeskripsikan kehidupan masyarakat Samin dari asal usul, ajaran yang diikuti dan perubahan sosial yang terjadi pada mereka. Bentuk kajian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data dalam kajian ini digunakan untuk memahami dan menafsirkan makna peristiwa serta pola tingkah laku masyarakat Samin Bojonegoro. Adapun data yang diperoleh berasal dari dokumen sejarah Samin dan bahan kepustakaan berupa buku, video film maupun jurnal ilmiah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa kondisi masyarakat Samin Bojonegoro telah mengalami transformasi dari tradisional menuju masyarakat modern. Meskipun telah mengalami perubahan dan modernisasi di segala bidang, masyarakat Samin masih identik dengan masyarakat mekanik dalam hal solidaritas. Hal tersebut dikarenakan masyarakat Samin masih menjunjung tinggi ajaran Saminisme dan mengamalkannya sampai sekarang yang berimplikasi pada kesadaran kolektif yang tinggi., meskipun mengalami berbagai transformasi, masyarakat Samin masih memegang teguh ajaran leluhurnya, yaitu Saminisme.Kata Kunci: Transformasi Sosial; Suku Samin; Pembagian Kerja Emile Durkheim; Solidaritas Organik; Solidaritas MekanikThis study aims to analyze the changes that occur in the Samin Bojonegoro community by using Emile Durkheim’s Division of Work and Social Solidarity. Namely the social change from traditional society to modern society. According to Durkheim, an increase in the system of division of labor in society has implications for changes in the type of social solidarity, that is, in societies with very little division of labor will produce a type of mechanical solidarity, whereas in societies with complex division of labor will produce types of organic solidarity. It starts by describing the lives of the Samin people from their origins, the teachings that are followed and the social changes that occur in them. The form of this study is qualitative research. The data in this study are used to understand and interpret the meaning of events and the behavior patterns of the Samin Bojonegoro community. The data obtained comes from historical documents Samin and literature materials in the form of books, video films and scientific journals. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that the condition of the Samin Bojonegoro community has undergone a transformation from traditional to modern society. Although it has undergone changes and modernization in all fields, the Samin community is still synonymous with a mechanical society in terms of solidarity. That is because the Samin community still upholds the teachings of Saminism and practices it until now which has implications for high collective consciousness., Despite undergoing various transformations, the Samin community still upholds the teachings of its ancestors, namely Saminism.Keywords: Social Transformation; Samin Tribe; Emile Durkheim Division of Work, Organic Solidarity; Mechanical Solidarity

Abstract

Although not an official status, adherents of the Malim teachings or Parmalim remained faithful in carrying out teachings originating from Debata Mulajadi Nabolon. Ugamo Malim is a growing religion in Batak land. In the development of Uugamo Malim, he passed various historical events which also influenced the formation of ugamo Malim's institution. This study aims to understand the side of the ugamo Malim religious dimension, and look at the discourse of ugamo Malim's development, and then look at the institutionalized process of Ugamo Malim. Ugamo Malim as a religion has its own way of expressing their religious practices that appear in Ugamo Malim's religious dimensions. The history of ugamo Malim's development shows the other side of the movement of the Paderi (Islam) forces and the Gospel preaching movement by the Rheinische Mission-Gesellschaft (RMG) (Christian) in the land of Batak. The application of the theory of involvement by the RMG and the Dutch East Indies Government in Batak land also had a major impact on the institutionalization of Ugamo Malim. Seeing developments in the Batak lands at that time, Raja Sisingamangaraja XII instructed Raja Mulia Naipospos to build Bale Pasogit in Hutatinggi, to replace the Batak religious building in extinct Bakkara which was burned down by the Dutch.

Abstract

AbstrakThe opening of the texts of political freedom and democratization following the fall of the New Order regime not only provided space for the emergence of various expressions built on primordial sentiments and identities but also paved the way for the expansion of radicalism. Reports by a number of survey institutions indicate that Indonesia is still a fertile ground for the production and reproduction of radical ideologies that allow the continued expansion of the radical organization or network. This threat is exacerbated by high public support for intolerance and violence.This article explores how the spirit of nationality for young people in the midst of the emergence of intolerant attitudes in society, the attitude of monopolizing the truth in religion that led to acts of terror in society. It needs dialogue and reconciliation honestly and openly. The deradicalization program must now be strengthened with elements of society to create a safe and peaceful atmosphere. As a consequence of choice as a democratic country, the principle of proportionality is very important to be put forward, so that there is no majority domination and minority tyranny.Keywords: nationality, young people, radicalism, deradicalism

Abstract

Wayang kulit merupakan bentuk seni dan kebudayaan tertua di pulau Jawa khususnya, dan Indonesia pada umumnya. Seni wayang kulit pada mulanya merupakan pemujaan agama lokal yang memiliki dimensi spiritualitas yang bertemu dengan estetika budaya. Dimensi spiritualitas wayang kulit terkait dengan pelaku dari kesenian itu, terutama masyarakat yang melahirkan kebudayaan wayang, yaitu seniman dan penikmat wayang. Kedudukan sosial keagamaan seniman dan penikmat wayang sangat berpengaruh dalam corak pertunjukan wayang kulit. Di Jawa, wayang kulit memiliki spiritualitas Islam yang bertemu dengan budaya Kejawen, sehingga keislaman yang diekspresikannya masuk ke dalam kebudayaan “asli” Jawa, melahirkan spiritualitas keislaman yang heterodok. Berbeda dengan wayang kulit di masyarakat Sunda, yang menonjolkan nuansa keislamannya dalam mengeskpresikan spiritualitas wayang kulit baik dalam simbol maupun isi.Hal ini ditunjukkan dari model-model wayang kulit yang dibuatnya yang mengalami improvisasi dan kombinasi dengan budaya Arab dimana tempat agama Islam itu berasal, seperti pakaian sorban Arab pada tokoh wayang, dan munculnya kelompok Punokawanan yang terdiri dari sembilan wali yang mencerminkan sembilan tokoh penyebar agama Islam. Selain itu, ekspresi spiritualitas wayang kulit di Sunda lebih kepada filosofi dan spiritualitas Islam yang berbasis pada ortodoksi agama yang membawa pesan etika dan sosialita secara simbolis. Kata Kuci : Wayang Kulit, Spiritualitas Islam, Simbol Etika dan Estetika.

Abstract

Extracurricular compulsory curriculum became Scout at the elementary and secondary education as a pillar of character education in the nation. Unlike other extracurricular activities students select appropriate talent and interestin making this ektrakurikuler impressed forced. Descriptive method quantitative research aims to find out and analyze the relationship of the extracurricular activities of the Scout with the level of religious students. Research results based on the data analysis has been done on the relationship between Extracurricular Activities with Scout level of Religiosity in students who demonstrate 0575 (r count), while the value of sig 2 tailednya value 0.000 < 0.01. This means the Ha received his and Ho is rejected. So the hypothesis which says there is a significant relationship between extracurricular activities with Scout level of religiosity is right, and also in correlation with test use Product Moment shown with * marked * in the table correlation between extracurricular activities with Scout level of religiosity which means it shows the value of positive correlation. That is, the better the student in carrying out activities through extracurricular activities the Scouts then the higher levels of religiosity in students. School social system in shaping the character of the religious students through extracurricular Scouts can go well because the fourth social system functions (adaptation, goal attainment, integration, and latency) can walk properly and mutual related.Keywords: Extracurricular Scouts, Religiosity, Students, Social Systems.ABSTRAKEkstrakurikuler Pramuka menjadi kurikulum wajib pada pendidikan dasar dan menengah sebagai pilar pendidikan karakter bangsa. Tidak seperti ekstrakurikuler lainnya yang siswa pilih sesuai bakat dan minatnya membuat ektrakurikuler ini terkesan dipaksakan. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif  ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis hubungan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dengan tingkat religius siswa. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan data analisis yang telah dilakukan mengenai hubungan antara Aktivitas Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dengan tingkat Religiusitas Siswa yang menunjukkan 0.575 (r hitung), sedangkan nilai sig 2 tailednya bernilai 0,000 < 0,01. Ini berarti Ha diterima dan Ho nya ditolak. Sehingga hipotesis yang mengatakan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara aktivitas ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan tingkat religiusitas adalah benar, dan juga dalam uji korelasi dengan menggunakan Product Moment ditunjukkan dengan tanda ** dalam tabel korelasi antara aktivitas ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan tingkat religiusitas yang berarti menunjukkan nilai korelasi positif. Artinya, semakin baik siswa dalam melaksanakan aktivitas melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka maka semakin tinggi tingkat religiusitas siswa. Sistem sosial Sekolah dalam membentuk karakter religius siswa melalui ekstrakurikuler Pramuka bisa berjalan dengan baik karena keempat fungsi sistem sosialnya (adaptasi, goal attainment, integrasi, dan latensi) bisa berjalan sebagaimana mestinya dan saling terkait.Kata Kunci: Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka, Religiusitas, Siswa, Sistem Sosial.

Abstract

In this study shown that at SMK Negeri 1 Obaa located inMappi, Papua turns performing two roles namely the role ofproduction and reproduction of social classes. Social classreproduction occurs because internelization of habitus, culture,taste and mindset of classes conducted by both the school andthe students themselves. Through regulations and disciplineimposed by the school has established habitus students andinteraction among students as a means of hegemony students tofollow habitus, tastes, culture and mindset of the social upperclass. This school serves as a structure that perpetuates violenceand symbolic power of the lower classes. At the school becamethe battle arena and fight to maintain the existing capital ieeconomic capital, social capital, cultural capital and symboliccapital. Through mastery of existing capital, schools producingand reproducing social classes. For the lower social classes it isa production that will raise the social status while the upperclass it is a top-class reproduction and dominance. However,the impact of symbolic domination that occurred in this schoolmakes the lower class who do not have the capital to beeliminated. In addition, the school culture is the culture of thedominant class so delivers lower classes in Mappi are stilldominated by hunting and gathering are not able to adapt toschool culture into pressure and not as important in their lives.Keywords: Schools, Gaps, Reproduction, Social Class, Strategy,Attorney Symbolic

Abstract

Bisa dikatakan pasca Orde Baru adalah titik balik peran agama Islam dalam kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia. Dimana sebelumnya masyarakat Muslim diyakini besar dalam jumlah namun minim peran dan pengaruhnya dalam masyarakat. Berbeda dengan saat ini, simbol keIslaman dapat dengan mudah ditemukan dalam berbagai sektor kehidupan masyarakat. Beragam sektor kehidupan tersebut dikaitkan dengan simbol keIslaman seperti dibentuknya Peraturan Daerah (Perda) Syari’ah, Bank Syari’ah, adanya tren fashion Muslim serta komoditas konsumsi yang bernuansa Islami lainnya. Bangkitnya semangat keagamaan tersebut di atas disambut baik oleh Pemerintah dalam bentuk regulasi yaitu UU No. 33 tahun 2014 tentang Jaminan Produk Halal (JPH) yang mewajibkan penggunaan sertifikat halal bagi para produsen. Dampaknya, berbagai barang konsumsi berlomba menjadi pertama dalam kepemilikan sertifikat halal, seperti jilbab Zoya, minyak angin Fresh Care dan detergen Total. Sedangkan yang baru-baru ini kembali muncul sebagai produk yang bersertifikasi halal pertama adalah lemari es SHARP. UU JPH sendiri dibentuk untuk menjamin setiap pemeluk agama untuk beribadah dan menjalankan ajaran agamanya. Namun, regulasi tersebut justru mendatangkan tanda-tanda yang berlawanan yaitu semakin konsumtifnya masyarakat Muslim Indonesia dimana masyarakat Muslim seharusnya bersikap sederhana dalam mengonsumsi sesuatu. Paper ini akan menjelaskan konsumsi dalam Islam sehingga dapat ditarik benang merah bahwa regulasi produk halal tidak menjamin terciptanya masyarakat yang semakin Islami melainkan menjadi keuntungan bagi produsen untuk memasarkan produk-produknya. Kata Kunci: Konsumsi, Sertifikasi Halal, Regulasi

Abstract

Sebagai kelompok yang memiliki struktur, anggota, mekanisme organisasi serta fungsi-fungsi politik dan sosial keagamaan, Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) maupun Muhammadiyah membawa kepentingan misi dan dakwah masing-masing. PKS sebagai partai politik, fungsi-fungsi politik di antaranya berupa artikulasi kepentingan, sosialisasi politik, dan rekrutmen politik. Dibandingkan dengan Muhammadiyah sebagai organisasi sosial keagamaan, fungsi-fungsi politik Muhammadiyah muncul sebagai bentuk respon terhadap kondisi perpolitikan yang tengah terjadi, sebagai bentuk arahan, pengelolaan, secara struktural organisasional terhadap anggota, amal usaha yang dimiliki serta jamaah Muhammadiyah. Dalam ranah politik keduanya berbeda. Dalam ranah dakwah keduanya berhimpitan. Belakangan politik dakwah melalui kelompok Tarbiyah-PKS memasuki Muhammadiyah seperti kasus yang terjadi di Yogyakarta. Topik bahasan tulisan ini akan mencermati dakwah kelompok Tarbiyah- PKS yang merangsek masuk ke dalam Muhammadiyah. Kasus yang terjadi dipahami sebagai gambaran dari fenomena politik dakwah PKS.Kata Kunci: Politik Dakwah, Tarbiyah-PKS, MuhammadiyahAs a group that has a structure, members, organizational mechanism and religious political and social functions, the Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) and Muhammadiyah carry their respective mission and missionary interests. PKS as a political party, political functions include the articulation of interests, political socialization, and political recruitment. Compared to Muhammadiyah as a religious social organization, Muhammadiyah’s political functions emerged as a form of response to the political conditions that were happening, as a form of direction, management, structurally organizational towards members, business charities owned and congregations of Muhammadiyah. In the political sphere they are different. In the realm of da’wah both coincide. Later the propaganda politics through the Tarbiyah-PKS group entered Muhammadiyah as was the case in Yogyakarta. The topic of this article will look at the da’wah mission of the Tarbiyah-PKS group that pushed into Muhammadiyah. Abstract

Transgender individual is one of minority in our society. Transgender people has problem with their body and feeling. Their physical appearances do not match with their psychological aspect. Therefore they are assumed by majority society as“abnormal” people. As a result they tend to be discriminated and marginalized from the society. As a human being, transgender individual has the same right as other individuals of the society. Therefore as religious people, transgender individuals have freedom to express their belief.
