Abstract

AbstractThe increasing need for information in the present era is a problem for information provider institutions to continue making innovations in order to be able to provide relevant information in an attractive manner. On this basis, this research was conducted by finding out how the development of digital-based information services amidst the incessant information. Where in the current information era, every information institution is required to be able to provide interesting and reliable sources of information and be able to package it in an attractive and easily accepted form. The development of digital-based information services with an attractive method, namely repackaging information is an innovation that can be done. Where the purpose of this study is to determine the form of digital information services and the process in providing good service. The benefits of this research can be used to develop the concept of digital-based information services for libraries. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. This method is a method in researching the status of human groups, an object, a set of conditions, a system of thought or a class of events in the present. This type of research data is taken through interviews and direct observation of related institutions, so that data can be obtained. a comprehensive range of variables presented. Data analysis wascarried out through several steps such as preparing data instruments, data collection, data classification, data analysis and drawing conclusions. Data from interviews and observations were analyzed using qualitative methods to the variables used as research subjects. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that information services could be developed attractively through information repackaging carried out by PDDI - LIPI through information repackaging services, namely industrial trees. AbstrakPengembangan layanan informasi berbasis digital dengan metode yang menarik yaitu kemas ulang informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk dari layanan informasi digital dan prosesnya dalam memberikan pelayanan yang baik. Manfaat penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk menyusun pengembangan konsep layanan infromasi berbasis digital bagi perpustakaan. Data jenis penelitian ini diambil melalui wawancara dan obeservasi secara langsung terhadap lembaga yang terkait, sehingga dapat diperoleh data yang komprehensif terhadap variabel yang disajikan. Data hasil wawancara dan observasi dianalisa dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif terhadap variable yang dijadikan subjek penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa layanan informasi dapat dikembangkan secara menarik melalui kemas ulang informasi yang di lakukan PDDI – LIPI melalui layanan kemas ulang informasi yaitu pohon industri. Dalam era informasi ini setiap lembaga informasi dituntut untuk mampu memberikan sumber – sumber informasi yang menarik dan dapat dipercaya serta mampu mengemasnya dalam bentuk yang menarik dan mudah diterima. Peneliti juga menyarankan kepada berbagai lembaga informasi tidak terkecuali perpustakaan yang ada di PDDI – LIPI untuk terus memberikan inovasi dan kreatifitas dalam memberikan layanan informasi.

Abstract

AbstractThis research purpose to explore the level of effectiveness of Kitab literacy training program at IAIN Salatiga and IAIN Purwokerto. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique in this research was using non-probability sampling-purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire while the data collection technique was by filling out a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive techniques with percentages. The results showed that the effectiveness level of the kitab literacy training at IAIN Salatiga was 82.15% in the very effective category, as well as IAIN Purwokerto in the very effective category at 93.8%. And has contributed to the achievement of the objectives of kitab literacy training at both IAIN Salatiga and IAIN Purwokerto. However, the training still needs some improvement, mainly in the development of training materials, improving the model of trainers in delivering the material, extending the time for training publication / socialization, increasing practice time, good training time management, providing representative training media technology and an adequate internet networks, and development of digital kitab information systems. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas pelatihan literasi kitab di IAIN Salatiga dan IAIN Purwokerto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sample pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling-purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dengan pengisian angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif dengan persentase. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan tingkat efektivitas pelatihan literasi  kitab di IAIN Salatiga sebesar 82.15% pada kategori sangat efektif, begitu juga  IAIN Purwokerto pada kategori sangat efektif dan sebesar 93.8%. Dan telah berkontribusi bagi pencapaian tujuan pelatihan literasi kitab baik di IAIN Salatiga  maupun IAIN Purwokerto. Namun, tingkat pelatihan yang sudah dicapai  masih perlu ditingkatkan, khususnya pada pengembangan materi pelatihan, memperbaiki model pelatih dalam menyampaikan materi,  memperpanjang waktu publikasi/sosialisasi pelatihan, penambahan waktu praktek, manajemen waktu pelatihan yang baik, menyediakan teknologi media pelatihan yang representatif dan jaringan internet yang memadai, dan pengembangan sistem informasi kitab digital.

Abstract

AbstrakDigital cameras have become more and more privately owned technological devices. Especially for millennials, as the library user at UPT Perpustakaan ISI Surakarta. For those born in early 2000 or so-called millennial generation digital cameras are important devices to facilitate daily activities. Mainly triggered by the innovation of digital cameras integrated in cellular phones. This tendency becomes interesting to be examined further. Using descriptive research methods, while the study population is user UPT Perpustakaan ISI Surakarta with a total sample of 144 respondents. The results showed a grand mean of 3.734 which is in the scale range of 3.40 - 4.20 which means it has a high level. Instrument reliability in the form of alpha coefficients is 0.981 0.60 r table which means reliable. The conclusions of the study are 1) Ownership of digital cameras in the majority of users is to have a smartphone / cellphone camera only. 2) Utilization of digital cameras by users generally to photograph supporting supporting information (author, title, publisher, year of publication, book cover, keywords, table of contents, bibliography, abbreviations or symbols) as a way to record it. 3) Disruption of digital cameras to the recording of information by users, mainly because of the reason to record information with a digital camera becomes faster. AbstrakKamera digital telah menjadi perangkat teknologi yang semakin banyak dimiliki secara pribadi.Terlebih bagi para generasi milenial, sebagaimana para pemustaka yang dilayani oleh UPT Perpustakaan ISI Surakarta. Bagi mereka yang lahir pada awal tahun 2000 atau yang disebut generasi milenial kamera digital menjadi gawai penting untuk memfasilitasi aktivitas keseharian. Terutama dipicu inovasi kamera digital yang terintegrasi dalam telepon seluler. Kecenderungan ini menjadi menarik ditelisik lebih jauh. Menggunakan metode penelitian deskriftif, adapun populasi penelitian adalah pemustaka UPT Perpustakaan ISI Surakarta yang berjumlah dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 144 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukan grand mean sebesar 3,734 yang berada pada rentang skala 3,40 – 4,20 yang berarti memiliki tingkat yang tinggi. Reliabilitas instrumen berupa koefisien alpha bernilai 0,981 0,60 r tabel yang bermakna reliabel. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah 1) Kepemilikan kamera digital pada pemustaka mayoritas adalah memiliki kamera smartphone / handphone saja. 2) Pemanfaatan kamera digital oleh pemustaka umumnya untuk memotret informasi supporting details  (pengarang, judul, penerbit, tahun terbit, cover buku, kata kunci, daftar isi, daftar pustaka, singkatan atau simbol) sebagai cara mencatatnya. 3) Disrupsi kamera digital terhadap pencatatan informasi oleh pemustaka utamanya karena alasan mencatat informasi dengan kamera digital menjadi lebih cepat (faster).

Abstract

This study aims to find out the role of the school library as an information source for teachers in improving the learning process. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Informants in this study were librarian and teachers of Madrasah Aliyah Mathla’ul Huda. Data collection techniques were carried out from December 2019 to February 2020 through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the information sources in the school library have been utilized by the teachers for a source to prepare learning implementation plans to improve the learning process. Based on the research results, the school library has realized its role as an information source for teachers in the learning process through library collections. In addition, 60% of the existing collections can meet the information needs of teachers. In realizing the role as an information sources, libraries experience obstacles in developing collections due to limited budgets, so that the number of books and subjects available is still lacking in meeting the needs of teachers. In addition, the library space is lacking, so it cannot accommodate large numbers of users. Therefore, the library makes various efforts to overcome, by collaborating with various related parties such as teachers and students in the selection and collections aquicition to suit their needs; cooperating with the Principal in the development of the library, especially in budget/funds.

Abstract

This article discusses trends in Indonesia's international scientific publications in the 2015-2019 period. Indonesian international scientific publications are sourced from the Scopus data base and the data were analyzed using a bibliometric approach with visualization of VOSviewer version 1.6.15. The results show that Indonesia's international publications during the 2015-2019 period experienced a significant increase, namely 8,373 publications in 2015 to 46,028 publications in 2019, or an increase of 5.5 times from the publication in 2015. Munir, A was recorded as the most productive writer with produced 239 publications during those five years, followed by Sarno, R (221 publications), Purnomo, MH (207 publications), Hidayanto, A.N. (182 publications), and Rahim, R. (167 publications). Universitas Indonesia as the institution with the most publications with 11,661 articles, followed by the Bandung Institute of Technology (8,961 publications), Gadjah Mada University (7,369 publications), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (5,096 publications), and Diponegoro University (4,997 publications). Other results show that most (50.9%) publications produced by authors from Indonesia are published in Scopus indexed international proceedings (such as the IOP Conference Series, AIP Conference Proceedings, MATEC Web of Conferences, E3S Web of Conferences, and ACM International Conference Proceedings. Series), and articles in international journals (46.7%). The most collaborators came from Malaysia (5,780 articles), Japan (5,373 articles), Australia (3,253 articles), the United States (2,849 articles), and England (2,194). Engineering is the most predominantly published research field, this is confirmed by the top 3 sources of publications, namely the Journal of Physics Conference Series (10.61%), IOP Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science (8.28%), and IOP Conference Series Materials Science and Engineering (6.33%). The conclusion of this study shows that there is a significant increase in Indonesian international publications indexed by Scopus of 549.71% during the 2015-2019 period. This significant increase stems from the publication of articles by Indonesian authors in international proceedings.

Abstract

Through the research in this paper, the author analyzes the problems that arise during the implementation of online-based user education activities at the IAIN Kudus Library. This research was conducted with a qualitative research approach. The data collection method is carried out in two ways, namely non-systematic observation and using the library research method. The method of collecting data through library research is a method of collecting data through books and journal articles which according to the author can support the discussion in this paper. The results of this study indicate that the main problem in online-based user education activities at the IAIN Kudus Library during the pandemic is the problem of information literacy skills, communication problems, and technical problems. The results obtained in this study are expected to be an input, especially for the IAIN Kudus Library and other libraries in general in carrying out user education activities in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to be able to determine the effectiveness of Mendeley software that can be used as an aid software for reference management. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The unit of analysis in this study is Mendeley. Data collection techniques used are exploration (browsing), searching (searching) on the software website under study and making a checklist of characteristics of software quality based on its function as a reference management software and with relevant library studies. The results showed that Mendeley’s software was stated to be very effective because of the 8 (eight) feature indicators stated 98.75% of the checklist indicators were available. Thus the quality of Mendeley’s software is very effective to be implemented, so that this software can be used to facilitate or integrate with other software in writing scientific papers in search of the scientific references they need.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the whatsapp gateway service in the loan notification system (SINOPI) at the Pekalongan City Library and Archives Service. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The data collection technique used in this research is by conducting interviews. The informants in the study used purposive sampling technique, namely the technique of determining informants based on certain criteria. This study resulted in the finding that this service could at least minimize the delay in returning books by as much as 20 copies per day. This service has been used by all users who have registered as members of the Pekalongan City Regional Library. With this system, the service for extending the loan period is automatically served by the server without having any officers on guard and without having to come to the library location. This application development is easy to use and understand by its users and easy to access. The obstacles that often occur are notification information that is not conveyed or cannot be read by users due to several factors including; a power cut by PLN so that the server is down and unable to send notifications, the registered user cellphone number is no longer active / changed the number, because the internet subscription (kouta) of the user has run out and notifications are ignored.

Abstract

The library is a source of life long learning and has an important role process in higher education. This study intends to test and prove the quality of digital libraries on student learning achievement. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a sample of Indonesian Islamic University (UII) students who submitted free literature as a condition for registering graduation month January-March 2020 a total of 126 students. Sampling using a non-probability method by means of convenience sampling. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and multiple regression. The results showed that partially there were 4 accepted hypotheses and 3 rejected hypotheses. The accepted hypotheses are: H1: the quality of digital libraries (X) on academic achievement (Y). H2: system development (X1) on Academic Achievement (Y). H3: means of promotion (X2) on academic achievement (Y). H5: means of sharing information (X4) on academic achievement (Y). While the rejected hypothesis is H4: deposit and preservation function (X3) on academic achievement (Y). H6: collaboration between institutions (X5) on academic achievement (Y). H7: online learning resources (X6) on academic achievement (Y). Furthermore, from the results of Multiple Regression Analysis, it is proven that simultaneously variables X, X1, X2, X3, X4, X5 and X6 have an effect on variable Y with an effect of 57.4%, while the remaining 42.6% is influenced by other factors whose variables are not studied in this study. The recommendation given is the need for improvements in the dimensions of e-learning learning resources and the dimensions of meeting information needs in the field of entertainment and recreation for users.

Abstract

This study discusses how personal knowledge management in Jabodetabek urban community (stand for Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi) in Indonesia, as a multi-ethnic nation with a thick oral culture is facing the digital era. The urgency of this research is to be able to build awareness and managing knowledge effectively in society. This research uses quantitative approach with case study method. Data is collected using the Google-form questionnaire between January-July 2018. Respondents are determined by non-probability sampling methods, obtained 224 respondents. The findings show that the strategy of gaining knowledge is at the highest level, while knowledge sharing is at the lowest level. In addition, the community has not fully utilized knowledge in this digital era. They focus on knowledge about hobbies, entertainment, and health. It was concluded that individuals who, on average, were students and office workers, showed effectiveness of knowledge management that were not optimally integrated, thus hampering the development of knowledge itself. Ideally individuals actively share knowledge for mutual progress, Jabodetabek communities are still passive, and sharing knowledge in close environment that are related to school or office assignments. This issue can be developed using a qualitative approach in order to gain deeper understanding of personal knowledge management from cultural perspective.
