Abstract

Human resources are a very important component as the driving force of an agency. The quality of human resources in an agency is very influential on the performance of an agency, so it is necessary to evaluate the performance of contract employees at the Labuhanbatu District Education Office to improve the performance of the agency. So far, the performance appraisal of contract employees at the Office of Education has not been based on calculating the value of definite evaluation criteria, so it is considered not objective. This study aims to implement the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method, which is a method used for ranking criteria. In the decision support system for assessing the performance of contract employees at the Labuhanbatu District Education Office so that assessments can be faster and objective. The ARAS method was chosen because it is considered capable of solving multi-criteria problems. From the results of testing this system, it can be seen that this system can run well when carrying out the process of evaluating employee performance according to the weight of predetermined criteria.

Abstract

With the development and advancement of technology, it is something that we should be grateful for, but there are many things that must be considered, one of which is the full storage memory, and also the slow file transfer process so that it takes quite a long time. Data compression (data utilization) is a technique to reduce the amount of data size (compression result) from the original data. To solve this problem, it is recommended to compress video files with the appropriate algorithm in order to get optimal results. The analysis is carried out in comparing the process of how the Huffman algorithm works and the Rice Code algorithm using the exponential method. To compress video files on both algorithms will be measured using the parameters Ratio Of Compression, Compression Ratio, Redundancy, Space Caving, and Time Compression. the file to be compressed is a video file with MP4 format. Video file compression is a process to remove various redundancies from the bit set in a video file so that the size becomes smaller. In the comparison of the two Huffman algorithms with Rice Code, both have a type of lossless compression algorithm, which is a type of compression that can be decompressed and the results obtained from the comparison of the two algorithms, that the Rice Code algorithm is superior to Huffman.

Abstract

Admission of new students is a routine agenda undertaken by a university. The number of prospective new students may increase or decrease every year at Darma Cendika Catholic University (UKDC) Surabaya. Therefore, to find out it is necessary to predict the number of prospective new students. In this case, the researcher proposes a method to predict the number of prospective new students at UKDC using the Single Exponential Smoothing method, then calculates the error using the mean square error with a time series dataset regarding applicants, prospective students and those who are accepted as new students from 2017 to 2022. This method has advantages including, namely: It has considered the influence of random, trend and seasonal on the past data to be smoothed. The results obtained by the researchers, namely the use of Single Exponential Smoothing, can be calculated in 2023 by 280 students from the prediction results.

Abstract

House renovation is one of the government assistance programs that aims to reduce the number of uninhabitable houses. In the provision of assistance, of course, must be selected in advance in accordance with the conditions that have been determined. The large number of community data that is not appropriate but has already registered makes it difficult for the selection team to determine the people who are entitled to receive home renovation assistance, so that the provision of home renovation assistance provided is not right on target decision support. A decision support system is a system capable of solving a problem. One method that can be used for decision making is by using the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations II. This method is used to make settlements based on existing criteria such as the eligibility status of the house, occupation, income, number of dependents, and age. Where each criterion has its own weight value and will be ranked to obtain the Net Flow value. This method will make it easier for the selection team to determine the most eligible recipients to receive home renovation assistance every year. After ranking, the results of the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations II method are Rosdita Banjarnahor (P4) with the highest Net Flow value of 0,2791. These results can make it easier for the selection team to determine the more appropriate recipients of home renovation assistance.

Abstract

The Smart Indonesia Card is the provision of educational cash assistance to children aged 6-21 years or who come from underprivileged families with the aim of continuing their education. Yapim Taruna Medan High School is one of the private schools in the city of Medan. This school provides Smart Indonesia Card scholarship assistance (KIP) where KIP scholarships are intended for underprivileged students and the number of KIP recipients is also limited based on the quota given, which is faced by the Yapim Taruna Medan High School in determining who is who. those who get KIP scholarships are less objective and transparent. Many students whose parents have a very difficult economy do not get KIP scholarships while some students who get KIP scholarships have parents who are above the economy who do not get the scholarship. So that to overcome this problem a Decision Support System for Recommendations for Accepting Indonesian Smart Card assistance is needed by applying the MAUT Method and Weighting Using the ROC Method at the Medan Yapim Taruna School.

Abstract

Text file sizes are sometimes relatively large where the better the quality of the resulting text files, the larger the file size needed to store the text files. With a very large text file size, when carrying out the transfer process the transfer process may fail because the media storage space exceeds the limit. The solution to this problem is how the text file can be compressed in order to speed up the transfer and storage of text files. Compression of text files is done by reducing the size of the text file by reducing the bits in the text file, but not eliminating the information data in it. By compressing, large data will be reduced in size so as to save storage space. In this study, the algorithm used is the Fibonacci code, by using this algorithm, the compression results of the values have different results for each value, and the compression results will be beneficial in sending, and moving text files will be easier.

Abstract

In this modern era, quantum computers appear that can calculate mathematical operations faster than classical computers. Some cryptosystems can be solved with the computer, but there are cryptosystems that have not been solved using the computer, one of which is the McEliece cryptosystem. The McEliece cryptosystem uses error correction codes so that it is more secure than cryptosystems that use factorization. The basic idea of this cryptosystem is that someone can give an error message so that the message cannot be read by an attacker. Golay code is a code with a length of 24-bits that can correct errors up to 3 bit errors. This article describes the implementation of Golay code on the McEliece cryptosystem.

Abstract

Tourism ambassadors are one of the means for one region to promote what tourism potential is owned by each region, especially the Deli Serdang regency area. With the existence of tourism ambassadors, it is hoped that there will be a figure or role who is able to become a promoter and be able to promote the tourism potential in the area well. The event for the selection of tourism ambassadors as a means of developing the potential talents, creativity, intelligence of the younger generation to become figures who can play a role in promoting the richness of art, culture and tourism. To help identify or select a decision support system using the PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enricment Evalution) method. Promethee is a method for solving a decision-making case to solve a decision-making case that falls into the MCDM (Multi-Criteria Decision Making) category with the principle of outranking. After using the promethee method, a ranking of each alternative can be obtained. Alternatives A3 and A4 "M Sakha Admaja" and "Nabila Putri Ramadhani".

Abstract

Compression is a technique to reduce the amount of data size from the original data. The general principle used in the video compression process is to reduce the duplication of data in the video so that less memory is needed to represent the video. The size of the video file is quite large so that it requires a large enough storage and video files with a long duration greatly affect the storage space and delivery time which is long enough so that data compression is needed. In this study, a comparison of algorithms was carried out to find out which algorithm was effective in the MP4 file compression process. The algorithms that will be compared are the Golomb Rice Algorithm and Interpolative Coding. Both algorithms are algorithms for the compression process. The comparison variables between the two algorithms are Ratio Compression (Rc), Compression Ratio (Cr), Redundancy (Rd) and Space Saving (Ss). The expected result in this study is to obtain a compressed file that is smaller in size, so that the results can be compared. which algorithm is more effective in compressing video files.

Abstract

The head of the computer laboratory is the person who leads and coordinates all planning, implementation and control activities in the laboratory and receives all periodic reports from laboratory staff and evaluates all existing activities and reports the results of the evaluation to the leadership. However, in the selection process, there were so many enthusiasts and the selection stages were so long, such as administration selection, competencies and interviews, that it was difficult for the school to make a decision in getting a new laboratory head candidate as expected. To overcome the problem of choosing a laboratory head who is difficult to make decisions, a decision support system is needed. A decision support system is a system capable of solving a problem and facilitating decision making. The method used for decision making is by using a combination of Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) and Rank Order Centroid (ROC) methods. This method is used to carry out settlements where the ROC method is used to find weight values and the ARAS method is used for a ranking based on existing criteria such as expertise, level of education, age, length of teaching and discipline. Where each criterion has its own weight value and the alternatives will be ranked. After doing a ranking, the results obtained from the combination of the ARAS method and the ROC method are M. Agus Salim Siregar (A4) with a score of 3.2794. These results can facilitate the selection team in making decisions and being elected as the head of the computer and network engineering laboratory at the Musda Perbaungan Private Vocational School.
