Abstract

Homework is a task that must be done by elementary school students. These learning activities have long been carried out by elementary school students even before the 2000s or what is known as the millennial era. However, homework activities had several obstacles when the pandemic began to strike. The purpose of this research is to look for a literature review regarding homework and things that support the implementation of homework activities. This article is written using the library research method. The library materials are searched using Google Scholar. The data collected relates to homework done by elementary school students. Data analysis uses a model from Huberman which includes the stages of data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results obtained are how to find a literature review using Google Scholar. The search words used are home work and elementary school. There are 3 things that can be done to support homework activities in elementary schools, namely the assignment method, parental guidance, and creative thinking. The assignment method can be done by the teacher to train student learning at home. Parental guidance can be done to bring feelings and kindness closer to the family. How to think creatively can be done by a student or elementary school child with the direction of a teacher as a giver of knowledge.

Abstract

The learning process is still centered on lecturers so that achievements in understanding the concept are not optimal. Students are not used to independently finding concepts because they must always be guided by lecturers. Therefore, as an implication for conceptual understanding in mathematics, students must be able to learn independently through experiential learning in understanding concepts through Discovery Learning learning. To fulfill the conceptual understanding of mathematics, an independent learning with the Discovery Learning model is needed on the basis of self-motivation to carry out learning activities in solving problems. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of conceptual understanding of mathematics with the Discovery Learning model on student learning independence. The method in this study is quantitative descriptive research using an ex post facto approach. Data collection techniques use mathematical conceptual comprehension tests and student learning independence questionnaires. Data processing techniques using linear regression tests. The results showed that student learning independence in learning with the Discovery Learning model did not affect students' conceptual understanding of mathematics.

Abstract

Children with normal intelligence, children with memory, writing coherence, grammar comprehension confusion and other problems due to impaired brain function, including children with dyslexia. In addition, dyslexia can also lead to dysgraphia, which is difficulty writing. Children with dyslexia (who do not have dyscalculia) have difficulty with story questions that require comprehension. However, many people continue to misunderstand dyslexia and classify children with dyslexia as having special needs. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to define dyslexia, explain how a child with dyslexia is initially diagnosed, and outline the treatments used. This study examines 10 students from the Kudus Regency Academy of Dyslexia Scholars using qualitative research techniques and a case study design. Information collected through interactive observations, interview procedures and documentation. It was found that as many as 10 students in nine schools in Kudus Regency were dyslexia. However, after treatment, it took at least 3 to 6 months for changes to start to show, and the number of students who met the criteria was only 5. Conclusions include, among other things, that psychologists enforce the status of dyslexia, that each child must identify a unique problem, and that the treatment process is based on the degree of difficulty of dyslexia. Dyslexia children are children with normal intelligence who have difficulty reading.
