Abstract

This study focuses on integrating local wisdom, religious values, and universal values. This study aims at revealing various secondary school cultures in public schools. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study design at Junior High School SMPN 7 Muaro Jambi. Data was collected using observation, in-depth interviews, and document study techniques. The collected data were analyzed using an interactive model, including data condensation, presentation, and verification. Triangulation techniques, extended observations, and member checks are employed to increase the validity of the data. The study revealed that five school cultures still characterize school managerial life: Gotong Royong (cooperation), Musyawarah (deliberation), Islamic Ritual, Clean and Healthy, and Discipline. These five cultures are manifestations of adherence to local values (indigenousity), religious values, and universal values. Combining these three integrated sources of values is a distinctive pattern of school culture that becomes the foundation for developing school quality at public schools at SMPN 7 Muaro Jambi. This research implies that integrating local, religious, and universal values in school culture enriches learning and prepares students for a globally complex world.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the process of formulating and implementing madrasah policies in East Kalimantan. The madrasah in question is upper secondary level, or called MAN. The research objectives were achieved through phenomenological methods, descriptive approaches and interactive data analysis techniques, while data sources were obtained through documentation, interviews and observation techniques. This research concludes that there is a process of stratification of students' learning abilities and interests, not background segments. The legitimation process is marked by alignment with the vision and mission of the madrasah, as well as being in line with the policies of the Ministry of Religion. The allocation process involves determining time and location, such as allocating extracurricular activities related to arts and culture and the percentage of multicultural content in social and religious science subjects. The implications of the results of this research can be a reference for further research and practically a reference for policy-making to support the strengthening of multicultural education.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the strategy of public relations in building the image of Madrasah. The research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah NU 05 Gemuh, using a qualitative approach and triangulation techniques. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and field observations. Sources of informants involved school principals, public relations, teachers, and student parents. The research results show that the public relations manager's strategy in building the Madrasah image involves the "Madrasah Greets" program. This approach involves understanding the internal and external conditions of the Madrasah, which is adopted through the Aida theory. Madrasah Greeting is implemented with steps such as understanding the image of the Madrasah from the perspective of attention, public interest, desire, and action. The next step is the implementation of Madrasah consistency and, finally, the Madrasah control program. The implications of this research are the realization of quality Madrasah capable of meeting the educational needs of the community, improving the quality of public education, making Madrasah a center for innovative and creative learning activities, as well as increasing confidence in the existence of Madrasah and eliminating arguments as a second option.

Abstract

This study discusses implementing the Child Friendly School program based on ethnopedagogy concepts in Gorontalo Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was used through research at MTs Negeri 1 Telaga Biru, SMP Negeri 1 Limboto, and SMA Negeri 1 Telaga. The subjects of the study involved the entire school community directly involved in the program's implementation. Purposive sampling techniques are used to determine research subjects according to the objectives of this study. Data collection instruments consist of interviews, observations, and documentation. The study results show that Ethno pedagogy in the Child-Friendly School Program is integrated into various school activities, such as integrated activities, literacy and environmental management, that refer to Gorontalo's local values and culture. However, there are obstacles and challenges related to school-institution collaboration, school infrastructure renewal, program funding, cultural facilities, geographical location, and foreign cultural influences. This finding is expected to be a reference for other educational institutions in implementing the Child-Friendly School Program and as an evaluation for the three institutions studied to improve and improve the process of implementing this program.
