Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of Islamic educational management and its impact on academic services at Islamic higher education institutions. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study utilised interviews, participant observation, and documentation to understand the impact of Islamic managerial values on the quality of academic services. The results indicate a strong link between management elements—planning, organising, Islamic leadership, supervision (hisbah), and continuous evaluation—and service effectiveness, as reflected in a structured system, student satisfaction, and the quality of academic processes. The integration of Islamic values , such as amanah (trust), musyawarah (deliberation), ihsan (excellence), and justice, creates a service culture grounded in spirituality and oriented toward humanity. The study confirms that these values strengthen planning, organisation, leadership, supervision, and evaluation, which in turn enhance the service structure, process quality, and student satisfaction. This study offers a conceptual and practical framework for Islamic higher education institutions to enhance the quality of academic services, and encourages further research utilising quantitative and cross-institutional approaches.

Abstract

Bullying remains a persistent issue in Islamic educational institutions, threatening both student well-being and the cultivation of character values. This study examines the application of the Reflective-Stimulation Leadership Model, which integrates the intellectual stimulation dimension of transformational leadership with the reflective dimension of spiritual leadership. Using a qualitative case study and phenomenological approach, data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, open-ended questionnaires, and document analysis. The research involved the school principal as the primary subject, supported by data from counselors, homeroom teachers, and students. Findings show that the principal implemented reflective dialogue, role modeling, value-based educational strategies, and participatory forums such as "Fun Friday" to address bullying. Questionnaire results indicate that 85% of students felt safer and more included under this leadership approach. The study concludes that the Reflective-Stimulation Leadership Model effectively reduces bullying while fostering a character-driven and inclusive school climate. This model contributes theoretically by merging transformational and spiritual leadership perspectives, offering a practical reference for Islamic schools seeking sustainable anti-bullying strategies. Numerous studies have demonstrated the significant impact behavioral therapy, especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), has on enhancing quality of life and diabetes control.

Abstract

Scientific publication activities are generally not the primary assessment of teacher performance in madrasahs, but scientific publications can impact teacher professionalism and the madrasah's reputation. This study aims to analyse the strategic management of sustainable professional development (SPD) among madrasah teachers in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as a solution to improving their scientific publication capacity. This study employed a qualitative approach, utilising a case study design. Data were collected through observations and semi-structured interviews with 20 madrasah teachers. Data were analysed using the Miles & Huberman interactive data analysis model. The findings suggest that a structured managerial approach, combined with capacity-building interventions and suitable institutional support, can substantially enhance teachers' productivity in scientific publications. This research has implications for improving teacher pedagogical quality, particularly in terms of delivering learning materials that align with scientific developments. It also serves as a consideration for cross-sector collaboration between Islamic boarding schools, madrasahs, and educational institutions to contribute to overcoming structural challenges and encouraging teachers' continuous professional development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership strategies employed by the Head of Administration in enhancing the quality of administrative services in schools. The method used is a descriptive, qualitative approach through interviews, observation, and documentation, with triangulation techniques employed to ensure data validity. The results show that the strategies implemented include the preparation of competency-based job descriptions, selective staff training, the provision of performance-based incentives, and regular evaluation of administrative performance. Supporting factors include staff professionalism, the availability of infrastructure, and operational funding support. However, service quality is still hampered by low staff discipline, error-prone manual recording, and suboptimal digitalization of the administrative system. Solutions implemented include strengthening communication, providing internal training, implementing a fingerprint attendance system, and planning the development of an internal payment application. The implications of this study suggest that transformational leadership at the administrative level can serve as a model for school administrative management, one that is adaptable to technological developments, encourages staff professionalism, and fosters transparent and accountable educational governance in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the meaning of religiosity and love of money in shaping an ethical and productive work culture in the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership of North Maluku during the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a purposive sampling technique, involving thirteen Muhammadiyah leaders and administrators. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, documentation, and open-ended forms, then validated by triangulation and interactive analysis by Miles and Huberman. The results indicate that religiosity plays a crucial role in maintaining honesty, responsibility, and professionalism as a moral control. Spiritual values are practiced through Islamic work ethics, such as trustworthiness, hard work, and a balance between professional and personal interests. On the other hand, love of money is understood ambivalently: as a positive drive to improve work ethic, but potentially harmful if uncontrolled, giving rise to pragmatic and materialistic attitudes. The integration of the two creates a work culture that is adaptive, balanced, and rooted in Islamic values. These findings confirm that the challenges of digitalization and materialism can be overcome by strengthening religiosity as an ethical foundation, enabling Muhammadiyah to build a modern, competitive, and civilized work culture, while prioritizing educational aspects that instill moral values and character in the next generation.
