Abstract

This paper aims to examine the functional review of public relations management from an ontology perspective. Public Relations is an organizational activity that is manifested in the form of activities and at the same time is a process of communication between one individual with an individual or a community. The communication process that occurs and is created in this activity, is very important for the smooth and sustainable organization. Therefore, an ontology approach is needed, as part of a philosophical study to dissect about public relations management in terms of its function. As part of the study of philosophy, ontology has a very important role in finding out what and to what extent public relations management is to be achieved. In this perspective, the study of the functional review of public relations management concerns matters that have an existence in the dimensions of space and time, and can be reached by sensory experience, which includes the phenomenon of public relations that can be observed, measured and can be obtained and can be interpreted, so that it can be drawn a conclusion. This study uses a qualitative research type library approach. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. The results of the study show that; the managerial functional review of public relations covers the activities of fact finding, planning, communication, actuating, and evaluating.

Abstract

This research aims to find out about the problems of education quality faced by SD / MI in Kuantan Singingi Regency based on the results of the 2019 accreditation. The research was revealed in 97 schools/madrasah at SD/MI.  It was designed as a qualitative descriptive research. Data were collected through interview, observation, and documentation. The findings show that the problems faced by schools/madrasah based on the achievements of the accreditation results in 2019 are on fulfilling the standards of educators, education personnel, educational facilities and infrastructure standards. Fulfillment of the standards of educators and educational staff including those related to academic qualifications of educators, educators’ certificates ownership, teachers’ educational suitability background and their teaching staff adequacy. Whereas the standard of facilities and infrastructure are related to the completeness of facilities and infrastructure such as: teacher's room, library, UKS, circulation, canteen ownership, and learning aids.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the management of KKN conducted by the KKN Center of State University of Surabaya during the covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using qualitative approach with the type of research used is a case study. Data retrieval is conducted through interviews, observations, and document studies. This research shows that KKN activities conducted are regional-based KKN activities with 1) student kkn and DPL regional placement planning tailored to the student's residential area when KKN is conducted, as well as KKN activities directed to help the community in preventing the spread of Covid-19 and solving problems that occurred during the Covid-19 Pandemic; 2) KKN activities are carried out with attention to health protocols, by implementing 5 forms of programs; and 3) evaluation of KKN activities is conducted through monitoring and evaluation with kkn center to determine the follow-up of KKN in the future. The entire management process of regional-based KKN is carried out by implementing health protocols.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze planning, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum development based on Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) in the Islamic Education Department at Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta. This research uses qualitative approach. Interviews were conducted directly with informants consisting of the Dean, Vice Dean, Head of Islamic Education Department. The results of observations and documentation were obtained from various studies of documents, manuscripts, and archives related to the KKNI-based curriculum management. Data analysis is based on data reduction, data display, and verification. The result of this study figures out that: a) The curriculum of the Islamic Education Department at UMY has been approved in accordance with the KKNI curriculum and each components of curriculum management consist of planning, implementing, and evaluating of the curriculum although there are deficiencies in each process; b) The development of curriculum management needs attention to Standard Operational Procedures and curriculum arrangements for the KKNI although its implementation is not entirely based on the KKNI.

Abstract

This research focuses on the facts and theories of organizational culture which include: 1) the formation of Salaf culture in modern Islamic boarding schools and 2) the maintenance of Salaf culture in the Modern Islamic boarding schools. This is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach in the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic boarding school, Sukorejo, Situbondo. The results showed that organizational culture was formed by the founder's philosophy with the founder's education background and sourced from the salaf books known as four (4) elementary books. The maintenance of the organizational culture is manifested in the activities of the boarding school which include 1) Diniyah school obligations for all students; 2) Establishment of religious-based higher education institutions for mahasantri (Ma'had Aly organization); 3) Obligation to read the yellow book (kitab kuning) and the Koran properly for every student; 4) Obligation to pass basic Madrasah Diniyah; 5) Study of books at various places and times; 6) Wetonan, bandongan and Sorogan methods; 7) Method of muhafadloh or memorization; 8) curriculum system; and, 9) clothing and uniforms.

Abstract

The Islamic Educational Management program in IAIN Kediri was established in 2018 so that it requires proper planning to maintain the quality of the study program education. One of the planning steps is to maintain the ratio of the students and the lecturers by projecting the needs for lecturers. The method used in this research model is quantitative methods with the projection method, namely the growth rate and the input output, the parameter numbers used are the input rate and the graduate number, the assumption in this research is target so that the total of students can increase every year. The basic data used is the total of graduates, the total of new students and the total of lecturers. This research results in the number of needs for lecturers in the future. The results of this research reveal that in 2027, the number of lecturers needed for institutional courses will be 16 lecturers, while the number of lecturers for study program courses will increase to 25 lecturers. In 2028, the number of lecturers needed for institutional courses will increase to 18 lecturers, while the number of lecturers for study program courses will be 28 lecturers. Eventually in 2029 the number of lecturers in institutional courses will increase to 20 lecturers, while the number of lecturers needed for study program courses is 30 lecturers.

Abstract

This study aims to portray internal and external quality assurance at higher education institutions, and the purpose of implementing quality assurance at educational institutions. In obtaining the data, this study used a library based qualitative approach by collecting data from books, journals, and articles. Based on the content analysis of the data, this study found that internal quality assurance includes: 1) policies and procedures for quality assurance; 2) approval, monitoring and periodic review of programs and awards; 3) student assessment; 4) quality assurance of teaching staff / lecturers; 5) resources student learning and support; 6) information systems; 7) public information. The external quality assurance includes: 1) use of procedures; 2) process development; 3) criteria for decisions; 4) processes in accordance with objectives; 5) reporting; 6) follow-up procedures; 7) periodic implementation reviews; and 8) system-wide analysis. The five objectives for quality assurance in educational institutions are improvement, innovation, communication, motivation, and control.

Abstract

One of the keys to the success of learning is good management. During the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers need managerial skills for the learning process to take place. The purpose of this study is to determine the management of learning arts and culture to improve student achievement during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study employed the qualitative approach to research. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the learning management that teachers need to do in Art and Culture is due to the characteristics, creation, communication, motivation, learning strategies, and discipline. The recommendations of this research can be used by teachers in developing culture and art learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, teachers will be able to provide learning to students, and students can attain improved skills and good learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mapping of several supporting and inhibiting factors of knowledge management process in increasing the higher education capabilities of STAIN Gajah Putih. This study used case study as methodological approach by collecting data with interviews, observation, and documentation. The objects of this study are lecturer, staf and students. The result showed that; 1) The formation of a culture of knowledge sharing; 2) Facilities and infrastructure in supporting the process of knowledge management; 3) Public policy in using knowledge. In establishing capabilities based on the knowledge management process, STAIN Gajah Putih has fixed these deficiencies in terms of the knowledge management process by establishing good information validation, analyzing the needs of knowledge management process, and developing brainware through increasing the quantity and quality of human resources in the field of information technology.

Abstract

This research is to analyze the process of development of quality management by using the cycled approach of PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) based on KPI (Key Performance Indicators). This research was conducted at SMP-SMA Integral Ar-Rohmah "Boarding School" Dau Malang by using descriptive qualitative methods. The object of this research is around 449 students at SMP-SMA Integral Ar-Rohmah Dau Malang. The research period is the even semester of the 2018/2019 school year. The results of this study can be concluded that; Planning (Plan), produces three KPI formulation products, namely; a) KPI monitoring; b) KPI filling formula; and c) KPI report card. Implementation (Do), by requiring all students to participate in filling the KPI monitoring form and activeness of the musyrif room in assisting the filling of KPI. Evaluation (Check) that has been carried out is by means of a random check (random) conducted by the room meeting from the results of filling KPI monitoring. The follow up (Act) is to publish KPI report cards.
