Abstract

These companies often experience difficulties caused by unscheduled and planned projects, material delays and lack of workforce for project work. From the problems that occur, this study aims to find activities that are critical trajectories for initial conditions and acceleration based on the Critical Path Method, to determine the difference in processing time from the initial conditions to acceleration conditions and to know the project cost advantages that occur between the initial conditions and conditions acceleration. CPM is a network-based method that uses a balance of time and cost. Each activity can be completed faster than regular time by crossing movements for a certain amount of charges. The method is used to find out when each event will begin and when it will be completed, data retrieval and research conducted at PT. DIHI. The results of the study showed that critical activity in the initial condition was for 253 days. While the acceleration activities of the total acceleration 208 days with 17 activities entered the critical path, from the results of these calculations the costs obtained from this project for the initial conditions were Rp 1,683,505,000, and the acceleration conditions were Rp 1,734,910,000.

Abstract

Pelabuhan Banten is a company engaged in port services in Indonesia, one of the essential aspects of which is the process of loading and unloading ships which are part of the landing process that will affect the queue of vessels entering or exiting the port. In this case, the variables observed were data on the time of arrival, service time, and the number of services. The method used in the retrieval of data on arrival time is purposive sampling. Data analysis methods include the detection of data distribution, determination of the queue model, and performs the calculation of the queue model. The single phase multichannel queuing system used in Banten Port for the average arrival of ships (λ) is obtained 45 ships/month and the average service (µ) adds 2 servers, from 3 servers to 5 servers because of the calculation of the 5 servers obtained the results of the calculation of the queue model are obtained. The probability of no service (Po) is 0.023. The average number of waiting in the queue (LQ) is 26 ships. The average number of waits in the system (Ls) is 35 ships. Average waiting time in the queue (Wq) is 34.66 minutes, the average waiting time in the system (Ws) is 35.99 minutes..

Abstract

The gas cutting area has several jobs that are risky to the operator, such as activities with squatting, bending positions. This study aims to determine the risk of work in the gas cutting area as a basis for improving work posture. The method used is RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) is a research method for investigating disorders of the upper limbs. By measuring the group A score and group B score. Based on the results of the RULA value in the process of operating the machine with a sitting position with a score 3. clearing the cutting plate with a bent position with a score of 5, and the highest score 6 in the grinding plate cutting. To reduce pain in the neck, torso, and arms, operators should not do work postures that cause pain in the body for a long time.

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia industri menuntut setiap perusahaan untuk selalu memperbaharui proses bisnisnya. Perbaharuan secara radikal dapat menggunakan pendekatan business process reengineering (BPR). BPR merupakan kerangka pendekatan inovasi proses bisnis. Tujuan akhir dari BPR adalah mendapatkan kinerja perusahaan yang ekselen di masa depan. Kinerja ekselen tersebut ditunjukkan oleh kriteria Malcom Baldridge. Untuk mencapai kinerja ekselen di masa depan maka diadopsi metode Balanced Scorecard. Abstract

Traditional markets are places where sellers and buyers meet and are marked by the presence of direct buyer-seller transactions; buildings usually consist of kiosks or outlets, booths, and open bases opened by the seller or a market manager. Merchant satisfaction will be influenced by indicators such as cleanliness, comfort, security, and the availability of adequate traditional market facilities and infrastructure such as access to markets. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of Service Quality (SERVQUAL) and improvement efforts with Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The study was conducted by conducting surveys and interviews with traders in Pasar Baru, Cilegon, on legal traders, as many as 2,438 active traders, by drawing a sample of 96 respondents or traders using the Slovin formula. Then the data is collected where the information is processed using the Servqual Method (SERVQUAL) and find out the efforts to improve the quality of service by using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The total value of servqual ((TSQ) ⃐) obtained at -4.90 shows that the variety of traditional market management services has not been entirely satisfactory for the new market traders of Cilegon City because the TSQ value is negative.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction in the service sector is an important and decisive element in developing the company so that it still exists in the face of competition. Improving service to consumers is very important in an effort to increase customer satisfaction. The problems faced by companies today are inefficiencies in the service process caused by the amount of waste and non-value added activities that can harm the company, such as handling damage to slow piping, frequent complaints from customers, thus impacting consumer satisfaction. This study aims to identify the expectations or desires of consumers, the level of customer satisfaction with the quality of services and propose improvements to service quality based on priority improvements from the IPA diagram. This study, using questionnaires, interviews and observations in data collection. Research respondents were all representatives of consumers totaling 10 companies. Survey results are processed using validity and reliability, Servqual and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) tests. The results showed that the level of customer satisfaction with the average service quality was still unsatisfactory. This is evidenced by the results of a negative gap obtained from all dimensions measured. To improve the quality of service can be done by fostering communication with the supplier (Pertamina) to make a special pipeline so that the flow of gas from the supplier is not divided with other distributors, making automatic control valve from the supplier, doing regular service, cooperation with other suppliers to back up gas when the supply from the main supplier is disrupted, and provides compensation for gas supply to consumers who experience gas supply shortages

Abstract

Inventory is one of the things that must be considered by the company. One way is to manage inventory management. The problem that occurs in the research location is the lack and excess stock for packaging raw materials. This lack of capital is due to the absence of calculations for the number of safety stock and reorder points, the cause of excess inventory is the excess in the absence of groupings of packaging raw materials to find out which products are more critical according to demand. Analysis of system improvements focuses on packaging raw materials. Based on the results of data processing obtained from 304 existing packaging raw materials, there are 15 packaging raw materials in class A. Processing is focused on class A only. Forecast calculations using SPSS software. And processing is continued by using the size-reorder point systems lot method with quantity results, reorder margin and safety stock that varies 15 raw materials according to the calculations performed.

Abstract

This research was conducted in an international company engaged in iron and steel products manufacturing industries. One of the equipment that is often damaged is a hot roller table machine in the furnace section mill unit. The availability results obtained in hot roller table equipment is 96.571% and is still below the company standard which is set at 98%. Therefore, we need an analysis of the root causes of the problem and search for the best solution to fix the existing problem by applying the method of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). FMEA is a method that can systematically and structurally analyze and identify the consequences of a system or process failure, and also reduce or analyze the probability of failure. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the level of damage and its causes with the application of the FMEA method. Based on the pareto diagram the damage to the hot roller table machine, it was found that the highest frequency of damage was in the rotary coupling with a down time percentage of 26.9%. From the FMEA Analysis, two components that have very high RPN values are categorized as potential severit i.e. bearing as the first with an RPN value of 392 and the second is a seal ring with an RPN value of 294. The two components are the main priority for repair of the furnace section. mill, especially for machine and human aspects.

Abstract

The success of the project can be judged by the timeliness of the planned target. The problem in the highway project is in the difference between cross drainage age implementation and the age of the project plan that has been set, so that, the project becomes not timely. This research aims to evaluate the critical path of cross drainage project, and what improvements are appropriate in the framework of project acceleration. The Critical Path Method (CPM) method is used to determine the critical path of the cross drainage project activity, from which critical path will be analyzed by using the Fishbone Diagram. Furthermore, borda technique is used to determine the appropriate improvement.

Abstract

The production process of API 5L PSL2 pipes in Pipe Companies in 2017 happened to defect products at 7%. This defect is still above the standards set by the Company at 4%. The study aims to determine the value of sigma and provide recommendations for improvement with the six sigma method. Based on the results of the DMAI analysis, the amount of the pipe sigma level was 3.65 with the value of DPMO 14448. Types of defects identified in the process such as open welding defects, high lows, contact marking, scarring, and under dimension Proposed improvements were made by designing recommendations for improvements using 5W + 1H by checking the condition of the forming machine and changing bearing components before the bearing lifetime, performing preventive maintenance every week and adding coolant bursts to the cutting tool.
