Abstract

One of the aim national development is the improvement of food security where Sei Buluh village, Teluk Mengkudu district North Sumatra recommended as Agro Technopark area based on food crops. The aim of this study was to determine factors that affected the income and food security of farm households. The method used Two Stage Linear regression Square (2SLS). The results show that factors that affected farm income were the price of seed and land, meanwhile, factors that affected the share of food expenditure in the price of chicken, instant noodles prices, and farm income.

Abstract

Di Indonesia, kenaikan harga minyak goreng merupakan kejadian yang selalu terjadi menjelang bulan puasa, lebaran atau tahun baru. Namun demikian, pada tahun 2007, kenaikan tersebut jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Banyak pihak, baik dari kalangan akademis maupun dari Pemerintah menyatakan bahwa kenaikan tersebut disebabkan oleh naiknya harga CPO di pasar internasional. Ternyata, ketika harga CPO internasional turun, harga minyak goreng di pasar domestik tidak ikut turun. Untuk menguji apakah benar fluktuasi harga minyak goreng di pasar domestik memang disebabkan oleh fluktuasi harga CPO di pasar internasional, kajian ini menggunakan teknik kointegrasi dengan menggunakan data time series dari Januari 2003 sampai ke Desember 2007. Ternyata, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa harga CPO di pasar internasional tidak berkointegrasi dengan harga minyak goreng di pasar domestik, sehingga dapatlah dimengerti mengapa pergerakan harga CPO internasional tidak sepenuhnya ditransmisikan ke harga minyak goreng di pasar domestik.Kata kunci : market power, teknik kointegrasi, transmisi harga, minyak goreng Indonesia

Abstract

Reba Juma yang ada di Desa Kuta Tualah Kecamatan Namorambe' Kabupaten Deli Serdang,Sumatera Utara, merupakan sistem agroforestri kompleks yang telah dikembangkan olehmasyarakat sejak puluhan tahun yang lalu. Informasi komprehensif tentang bagaimanapengelolaan Reba Juma dapat bertahan, mampu memelihara praktek adat/budaya dan melindungihutan, serta menyumbang kesejahteraan hidup masyarakat setempat, masih sangat terbatas. Olehkarenanya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhimasyarakat mempertahankan Reba Juma dan kontribusi Reba Juma terhadap perekonomianrumah tangga. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni-Agustus 2009. Data penelitian diperolehdengan wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Metode deskriptif digunakan untuk menganalisisdan menggambarkan fakta-fakta yang berkaitan dengan masalah yang diteliti. Reba Jumamerupakan praktek agroforestri lokal masyarakat Karo dalam bentuk kebun campuran.Kelestarian Reba Juma hingga saat ini, memiliki kaitan yang erat dengan aspek ekonomi,lingkungan, dan sosial-budaya masyarakat Karo. Secara ekonomi, Reba Juma menghasilkanproduk yang beragam dan merata sepanjang tahu, sehingga Reba Juma memberikan kontribusipendapatan sekitar 86,79% terhadap pendapat total keluarga pemilik Reba Juma. Sedangkansecara lingkungan, Reba Juma memiliki strata tajuk yang belapis (multistrata) dankeanekaragaman jenis yang tingggi. Keadaan ini menjadikan Reba Reba Juma mampumenciptakan iklim mikro yang baik, membantu kesuburan lahan, mencegah erosi, sertamempunyai peranan penting bagi pelestarian kultivar tanaman kehutanan dan tanaman pertanian.Adapun secara sosial budaya keberadaan Reba Juma sangat terkait dengan dengan polapenguasaan lahan (tenurial), identitas kultural masyarakat, dan kelembagaan lokal yangdijalankan melalui sistem kekerabatan masyarakat Karo, yang dikenal dengan daliken sitelu.Kata kunci: Reba Juma, agroforestri, ekonomi, lingkungan, dan sosial

Abstract

Tanjung Tiram District is the central areas and the potential for development of coconut commodities because of the natural conditions. The purpose of the study was to determine the coconut marketing channel system, to know the marketing margin on each marketing channel and to determine the level of coconut marketing efficiency. This research is quantitative descriptive by survey method. The research instruments used the interviews and questionnaires. The respondents in the sample used by 80 coconut farmers at Tanjung Tiram District of Batubara Regency. The result of study shows that the most small marketing margin at channel 3 (coconut farmer - retailer - consumer) of Rp. 700/piece of coconut, while the most of marketing margin at channel 2 (coconut farmer - wholesaler - consumer) and channel 5 (coconut farmer - trader - merchants of the city - town factory or retailer - consumer). The conclusion of this study is there are 5 types of coconut marketing channels at Tanjung Tiram District. In terms of the coconut marketing margin that channel 3 most efficient compared  to channel 1, 2, 4 and 5. The farmers choose the channel 1, channel 2, channel 4 and channel 5 even buy coconut at a price lower than the channels 3 because of the four marketing channels to absorb any coconut production whenever farmers at harvest time. Abstract

This research  aimed  to know the influence  of  satisfaction and trust to the  customer loyality in  PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Logo Karo Asri Berastagi.   Population of this research is about 1881Bof people and to be taken about 95 of people to become sample.Technique of collecting data which is used is by questioner that by doing sharing questioner to respondent. Technique of analyzing data which is used is Multiple Linier Regression. The result of this research showed that partially, satisfaction and trust influence to the customer loyality in PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Logo Karo Asri Berastagi. Simultaneously,satisfaction and trust also to the customer loyality in PT. Bank Perkreditan Logo Karo Asri Berastagi.Adjusted R Squere amount to 0,500 which mean  50 %  customer loyality in PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Logo Karo Asri Berastagi was influence by satisfaction and trust while the residual 50% was influence by the other factors. Keywords : Satisfaction,trust, loyality

Abstract

The red chili commodities is the important contribution in farming, but the nature of this perishable commodity, is seasonal, while consumption occurs throughout the year, it requires a good marketing system. The objectives of this study to get a current red chili marketing system at the Batubara District and analyze the most efficient marketing system and analyze the margin of red chilli marketing at the Batubara District. The methode of study is descriptive quantitative by questionnaire. Respondents consisted of 26 farmers producers, collector of 26, merchant retailers of 18.  The result of studies shows that : 1) the marketing channel 3 has the lowest marketing margin of Rp. 4500, 2) smaller marketing margins obtained from the small price difference between farm gate price and the retail price level (consumer price). This shows the marketing channel 3 is more efficient than marketing channels 1, 2 and 4 . However, based to the amount of red chili farmers who choose to use channel 3 is lower than channels 1 and 2 . So operationally channel 3 is not necessarily more efficient because it is only used by 18.57 % of the farmers while channel 1 at 42.85, and channel 2 at 25.71 %. The role of stakeholders to improve the income of farmers through efficient marketing channels is needed. Abstract

Kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang dijadikan sebagai komoditas unggulan di Kecamatan Wampu, Kabupaten Langkat, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Terdapat perbedaan yang cukup besar pada harga yang ditawarkan di tingkat petani dengan harga yang ditawarkan di tingkat konsumen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi saluran tataniaga dan efisiensi saluran tataniaga tandan buah segar (TBS) kelapa sawit yang terbentuk. Penentuan responden petani dilakukan secara purposive sampling sebanyak 30 orang dan responden lembaga tataniaga menggunakan metode snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga saluran tataniaga TBS kelapa sawit yang terbentuk. Secara umum, sistem tataniaga TBS yang terbentuk tersebut belum efisien. Saluran yang paling banyak digunakan oleh petani adalah saluran I (petani-agen kecil-Agen besar-pabrik kelapa sawit) yang memiliki nilai marjin yang tinggi serta farmer’s share yang rendah.

Abstract

The rubber is one of the plantation commodity which is the source of livelihood for 1.6 million peasant families, as well as the second largest source of foreign exchange after palm oil and also employers as well as suppliers of various raw materials in the domestic rubber industry. As a commodity plantation, in the development, are required to contribute to optimal results both for the welfare of the community and the sustainability of its business . The objectives of this study  are: to determine the external and internal strategic factors that influence the development of smallholder rubber agribusiness in South Tapanuli, to determining the strategic formulation of smallholder rubber development of agribusiness in South Tapanuli, and construct the strategic priority to develop agribusiness in smallholder rubber South Tapanuli .From the analysis, can be conclusions that: there were 13 external strategic factors and 10 internal strategic factors affecting the development of smallholder rubber agribusiness in South Tapanuli. The results of analysis by the SWOT matrix and QSPM analysis can be recommended six priority smallholder rubber agribusiness development strategy and medium term and six long-term strategic priorities to be diimplemerrtasikan by policy makers to agribusiness development of smallholder rubber in South Tapanuli . Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of marketing channels, marketing function in each channel marketing, marketing costs, share margins and prices spread on each channel as well the level of marketing efficiency in the red pepper and tomato Shelter Market Medan. This study uses field observation  and interview questionnaire, a population, of 75 respondents comprising 17 merchant traders village, town collectors 26 and 32 retailers in the market Shelter Medan. The model used data analysis is descriptive and quantitative analysis. The results showed that there were there (four) marketing channels in the red pepper and tomato Shelter Market Medan, Channels Marketing I : Farmers – Trade Village – City Traders – Trade Retailers – Konsumen, Channel Marketing II : Farmers – Trade Retailers – Consumers, Channels Marketing III : Farmers – Consumer. Each institution plays the marketing of at least 4 function, of which there are 4 2 channels apparently have a good level of efficiency than most other 2 channels for the smallest value of marketing efficiency. Keywords : Vegetable Soup, Chili, Tomato, Marketing, Channel Marketing, Efficiency

Abstract

Human resosurces was of organization success key’s, because of that human resources quality have to develop and control in order to achieve an organization vision. The aim of this research was to analyze the effect off workshop and motivation to labour productivity in PTPN III. The method used a multiple linier regression. The populatin of this research was PTPN III labour that 184 person, while sample of this research took 25% of population as  46 persons. The result show that workshop and motivation positively effect significantly to labour productivity in PTPN III. Partially, workshop effected labour productivity more than motivation. It’s mean that to improve a labour productivity optimally, PTPN III have to give a effective and appropriate workshop to achieve a productive lobour productivity.
