Abstract

Abstract

Goat milk sales are dominated by unprocessed raw milk, resulting in limited profit margins for farmers due to the dominance of intermediaries in the marketing chain. This study aims to: (1) analyze an integrated agribusiness model based on goat farming, spanning from upstream to downstream subsystems; (2) analyze the value-added of processed goat milk products—specifically pasteurized milk and ice cream—using the Hayami method; and (3) formulate recommendations for business development strategies. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative descriptive analysis to map the upstream-downstream agribusiness system with quantitative descriptive analysis to assess costs, revenue, and value. The study was conducted at Embik Eco Green Farm in Jambangan Village, Malang Regency, using primary data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results demonstrate that an integrated agribusiness model linking upstream subsystems (breeding stock, feed, supplements), on-farm activities (rearing and hygienic milking), downstream processes (pasteurization and product diversification), and multi-channel marketing yields highly efficient business performance, characterized by a net profit margin of 87.6% and an R/C ratio of 8.05. Hayami value-added analysis reveals that GEMIK pasteurized milk generates a positive value-added of Rp4,052 per liter of raw material with a ratio of 37.5% (medium category), whereas GEMIK ice cream yields a negative value-added of Rp−4,052 per liter of raw material (ratio of −15.1%) due to high costs of other inputs relative to sales revenue. These findings indicate that successful upstream-downstream agribusiness integration does not guarantee positive value-added across all food product lines; therefore, specific evaluations of selling prices and production scales for each product are essential before making expansion decisions. This study offers empirical insights into integrated agribusiness development models for medium-scale goat milk agro-industries in Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid digitalization encourages MSME actors to utilize digital marketing and digital payments (QRIS) to improve business performance and customer experience. This study examines the impact of the implementation of these two strategies on purchasing decisions and consumer satisfaction in Dimsum Umayumcha MSMEs in Malang City. Using a quantitative approach to the survey, data were collected from 120 respondents who were determined through accidental sampling techniques. The data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS 4. The findings of the study found that digital marketing had a positive and significant impact on purchase decisions, β=0.41; p<0.05. as well as consumer satisfaction, β=0.46; p<0.05. Similarly, the use of QRIS was proven to have a positive and significant effect on purchases, β=0.46; p>0.05. and consumer satisfaction, β=0.39; p<0.05.. The   Value of, R-2. namely 0.59 for the purchase variable and 0.57 for consumer satisfaction, confirms that this research model obtained a good level of representation.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) identify farmer characteristics; 2) determine banana cultivation practices; 3) assess the level of perception; and 4) determine the level of farmer motivation regarding banana cultivation in Penungkulan Village, Gebang District, Purworejo Regency. The study employed a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The research location was selected via purposive sampling, while respondents were chosen using a saturated sampling technique, resulting in a total of 31 banana farmers. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using descriptive analysis and Likert scaling. The results indicate that the majority of respondents were of productive age (84%), had an elementary school education (65%), attended agricultural extension sessions 2–3 times per year (74%), possessed over 10 years of cultivation experience (91%), cultivated land areas of less than 0.5 hectares (97%), and maintained more than 51 banana plants (52%). Farmers perceived banana cultivation as easy, and their perceptions fell into the "neutral-to-good" category, with an average score of 31.84. Farmers' motivation levels fell into the high category with an average score of 31.81.

Abstract

To date, field verification and validation regarding the authenticity of raw materials, additives, and processing aids remain the main challenges in halal certification assistance. This study aims to map the constraints encountered by Halal Product Process Assistants (P3H) and Business Operators (PU) to formulate an improved assistance model. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, a Likert-scale questionnaire was distributed to 60 Business Operators registered under LP3H UMM via the SiHalal platform, supplemented by purposive interviews with 10 operators selected based on location, meat-based raw materials, and revenue. Five P3H assistants were also surveyed to ensure data triangulation. Data regarding demographics, administrative issues, literacy, and technical assistance were analyzed quantitatively using SEM-PLS and qualitatively via SWOT analysis. The results demonstrate that literacy in packaging, technical process assistance, and processing timeline efficiency are critical factors for model enhancement. The SWOT analysis highlights that IT proficiency and family support significantly determine the success of document processing and certificate issuance. Conclusively, upgrading the assistance model requires segmenting Business Operators by IT literacy and familial support across all stages—from registration to issuance. Additionally, improving communication efficiency and managing digital accounts remain vital for process optimization.
