Abstract

The rapid spread of Covid-19 has impacted physical and psychological well-being globally, including in Indonesia. Anxiety and depression are prevalent psychological challenges during the pandemic. This study aimed to assess the relationship between Covid-19 knowledge and psychological outcomes—anxiety and depression—among residents in Indonesia's high-risk "red zones." A cross-sectional design was employed, involving 394 respondents who met inclusion criteria, selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using online surveys incorporating the Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP), GAD-7, and PHQ-9 questionnaires. Results indicated that 84.5% of respondents had good knowledge of Covid-19. However, 35.3% and 27.9% reported depression and anxiety, respectively. Spearman correlation analysis found no significant relationship between Covid-19 knowledge and either anxiety (p = 0.311) or depression (p = 0.356). These findings suggest that while knowledge levels were high, psychological issues persisted, highlighting a gap in addressing mental health during the pandemic. This study underscores the need for targeted interventions to mitigate the psychological impact of Covid-19 in high-risk communities

Abstract

Acute coronary syndrome is a disease process with a collection of symptoms caused by acute myocardial ischemia due to the presence of atherosclerotic plaques. It has become a health problem with the highest mortality rate in the world and high blood glucose levels are associated with poor clinical outcomes and increased risk of death in hospitalised patients. To determine the relationship between blood sugar levels and mortality in patients with acute coronary syndrome in RSUD Dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie in 2018-2023. This type of research is quantitative cross sectional analytical observational with a retrospective approach and using Spearman’s rho test. The sample totalled to 131 samples taken using medical record data with simple random sampling technique. Based on bivariate analysis, p-value = 0.003 (p<0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0.261 which means there is a relationship between increased blood sugar levels with mortality with a weak positive correlation. There is a relationship between blood sugar levels and mortality, namely the higher the blood sugar level, the higher the mortality

Abstract

The addition of BKO (Chemical Drug Ingredients) to traditional medicines is no longer commonplace. This condition is raises serious health concerns if it is allowed to continue because it can cause damage to body organs, especially liver damage. The purpose of this study was to test whether traditional medicines (“jamu pegal linu”) sold at Pasar Tingkat Lamongan contain paracetamol or not. This is because this type of traditional medicine is widely sold in this market and has never been tested for the presence of BKO. The traditional medicine samples studied have criteria that are not listed the composition of the ingredients. The test for the presence of BKO (paracetamol) uses two methods, namely the color test by reacting with iron (III) chloride reagent and the TLC test. The results of the study showed that 1 out of 4 samples studied contained paracetamol. For further research related to the TLC test for the presence of paracetamol in traditional medicines, it is better not to use only one type of eluent comparison

Abstract

Urinary tract stones (UTC) are the occurrence of stones in the urinary tract organs. Environmental factors such as daily behavior, excess body weight, eating habits, and lack of fluid intake influence the occurrence of UTC. Hormonal, genetic, and anatomical factors can also play a role in its pathogenesis. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of urinary tract stone patients at Dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie Ternate Regional Hospital. This type of research is descriptive research with a cross-sectional approach research design. The data used are secondary data in the form of medical records of UTC patients in 2021-2023. This study obtained a total sample of 171 people, the distribution of patients was mostly male (67.8%), adult age group (≥19-<45 years) (39.2%), normal body mass index (BMI) (49.1%), high school education (58.5%), and civil servant/military/police/state-owned enterprises/regional-owned enterprises occupation (21.1%). Men are at higher risk of experiencing UTC, allegedly due to the role of hormones. Workload, sweat, and lack of fluids that are common in productive age are risk factors for BSK. Obesity triggers urinary tract stones through increased uric acid, decreased urine pH, inflammation, and oxidative stress. Education level can affect the risk of BSK. Work can be a risk for BSK due to sun exposure to poor lifestyle

This study shows that the frequency distribution of good information support (52.2%) and analysis of the significant relationship between information support and the activeness of the elderly in attending posyandu (p<0.05). The important role of information support from the family in supporting the elderly to continue to actively participate in coming to posyandu. Recommendation: Family involvement is needed in providing health information to the elderly to support the elderly to actively attend posyandu as part of health interventions for the elderly
