Abstract

The central issue of this study is the persistence of corruption culture in Indonesia’s public procurement, despite regulatory reforms such as Presidential Regulation No. 16 of 2018 and its amendments. The research aims to analyze systemic factors sustaining corruption, identify regulatory weaknesses, and propose reform strategies to establish clean and integrity-based procurement governance. A qualitative approach was employed, combining normative-empirical analysis through regulatory review, corruption case data from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and literature studies on public procurement practices. The findings reveal that corruption in procurement is multidimensional, driven by weak law enforcement institutions, political pressures, and limited coordination among oversight bodies, resulting in state losses, declining public service quality, and weakened public trust. Nevertheless, positive developments include increasing legal awareness, public participation through whistleblowing, and the digitalization of procurement systems. This study concludes that structural reforms and legal culture transformation are essential prerequisites for positioning procurement as an effective instrument of social engineering and distributive justice. Keywords: Corruption culture, Public procurement, Transparency, Structural reform, Legal culture

Abstract

The development of interactive e-media offers significant opportunities for improving the quality of learning in Islamic Educational Institutions (LPIs), but its use must be aligned with Islamic values and the curriculum of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) or madrasahs. This research is crucial because there is still a gap between advances in educational technology and LPIs' readiness to integrate it optimally. This research employed a qualitative case study approach, involving in-depth interviews with teachers and administrators, classroom observations, and document analysis related to the use of digital media. The results indicate that interactive e-media can increase learning motivation, enrich understanding of the material, and support more adaptive learning. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, integration of Islamic values, and teacher competency still require attention. Overall, interactive e-media can effectively improve the quality of LPI learning if planned and implemented strategically and sustainably. Keywords: Islamic Interactive E-Media; Islamic Digital Learning Transformation; Multimedia Interactivity; Islamic Pedagogical Innovation; Smart Learning for Students

Abstract

A byproduct of purine metabolism is uric acid, which can cause hyperuricemia and increase the risk of gout and other metabolic diseases when blood levels are too high. Long-term exposure to lubricants, vehicle exhaust, and carbon monoxide can increase uric acid levels in motorcycle repair workers. The heart and kidneys, which are important for uric acid metabolism and excretion, may be affected by exposure to substances found in motor vehicle lubricants and exhaust fumes. Additionally, the sedentary work habits of workshop workers, which involve little physical activity, can disrupt kidney function and delay the elimination of uric acid from the body. Therefore, due to the combination of lifestyle and work environment characteristics, motorcycle repair shop workers can be considered a high-risk category for developing gout. However, there is still a lack of information about uric acid levels in this population, particularly in Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this investigation is to determine the uric acid levels of employees at motorcycle workshop X in Pekanbaru City. Samples were taken from employees who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria using a descriptive cross-sectional methodology. The Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) approach, along with strip testing, is used to assess uric acid. According to findings from 24 respondents, 3 workers (12.5%) experienced increased uric acid levels, while 21 workers (87.5%) had normal levels. At 5.44 mg/dL, the average uric acid level is within the reference range. These findings indicate that prolonged working hours and occupational exposure elevate the risk of hyperuricemia, despite the majority of employees exhibiting normal uric acid levels. To reduce the burden of metabolic diseases on the high-risk working population, this study emphasizes the importance of occupational health surveillance and preventive measures. Keywords: Uric acid, Motorcycle workshop workers, Hyperuricemia, Occupational exposure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the field trip method on the critical thinking skills of undergraduate students in the Tourism Study Program at Universitas Negeri Padang. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis. The sample was selected purposively from students who had participated in field trip-based learning activities. The linearity test produced a significance value of 0.385 ( 0.05), indicating a linear relationship between the field trip variable (X) and critical thinking skills (Y). The regression analysis showed that the model was statistically significant, with an F-value of 103.989 and a significance level of 0.000 ( 0.05), meaning the regression model is suitable for predicting the dependent variable. The t-test resulted in a t-value of 3.825 with a significance level of 0.000, indicating that the field trip variable has a significant effect on students’ critical thinking. The regression coefficient was 0.815 with a significance level of 0.000, which means that an increase of 1 unit in the field trip variable will result in a 0.815-unit increase in critical thinking skills. These findings confirm that the field trip method has a positive and significant influence and is an effective learning strategy for enhancing the critical thinking abilities of tourism students. Keywords: Learning Methode, Fielf Trip, Critical Thinking Skills

Abstract

Marketing Information Systems (MkIS) have become a strategic component for organizations seeking to design, execute, and evaluate their marketing activities amid an increasingly dynamic market. This article presents a systematic review of Indonesian scholarly literature on MkIS implementation published in SINTA-indexed journals between 2020 and 2025, aiming to map publication characteristics, reported benefits, and the obstacles organizations face in adopting such systems. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design was employed, following the 2020 Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework. Literature was retrieved from Google Scholar, Garuda, and the SINTA portal using the combined keywords "sistem informasi pemasaran," "sistem informasi manajemen pemasaran," and "marketing information system." After identification, screening, and eligibility assessment of 198 initial records, fourteen articles met the inclusion criteria for analysis. Findings indicate that MkIS adoption is consistently associated with more efficient marketing processes, sharper market segmentation and targeting, and stronger customer relationships and loyalty built on more structured customer data. Recent studies also point to a shift from conventional MkIS toward cloud-based platforms and more sophisticated marketing analytics. Meanwhile, the most frequently reported implementation challenges include the readiness of marketing personnel, limited cross-platform data integration, and a scarcity of quantitative studies measuring MkIS impact in measurable terms. This review recommends further quantitative, cross-sector research to strengthen the generalizability of findings on MkIS's contribution to organizational marketing performance. Keywords: marketing information system, marketing management, systematic review, PRISMA, SINTA literature

Abstract

Maternal and infant mortality remain major health problems faced by almost all countries, with Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) serving as indicators of a nation's health development success (World Health Organization [WHO], 2024). In Agam Regency, based on the 2024 Health Profile, 11 maternal deaths were recorded from 5,811 live births, or approximately 189.30 per 100,000 live births, mostly caused by hemorrhage (Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Agam, 2025). Comprehensive midwifery care, or continuity of care (CoC), is an approach considered effective in reducing MMR and IMR through continuous services from pregnancy, labor, postpartum, newborn care, to family planning (Badan Pusat Statistik [BPS], 2025; Sandall et al., 2021). This article aims to implement comprehensive midwifery care for a pregnant woman through the postpartum and newborn period at the Independent Midwife Practice (PMB) of Hj. Hendriwati, S.ST. The method used was a case study with Varney's seven-step management approach and SOAP documentation applied to a single subject, Mrs. “A”, aged 32 years, G2P1A0H1, from the first contact at 33–34 weeks of gestation (18 February 2026) through the postpartum period (23 April 2026) at PMB Hj. Hendriwati, S.ST, Banuhampu Subdistrict, Agam Regency. The results showed that the third-trimester pregnancy, labor, newborn, and postpartum period of Mrs. “A” proceeded physiologically without complications; the baby was born spontaneously at 19.00 WIB, female, weighing 3,200 grams, 48 cm in length, with an APGAR score of 8/9. All stages of care provided were in accordance with existing standards and theory, so no gap was found between theory and field practice. The study concludes that comprehensive midwifery care using Varney's management and SOAP documentation can be implemented thoroughly and continuously, supporting the safety and well-being of both mother and infant. Keywords: Comprehensive Midwifery Care; Continuity of Care; Labor; Newborn; Postpartum; Third Trimester Pregnancy

Abstract

Communication between the deaf and hearing people is still a challenge, especially due to the lack of understanding of the sign language they often used. To overcome this, the author developed an Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO) translation and recognition application by utilizing the YOLOv4 deep learning model. This study aims to analyze the accuracy of the model in detecting and translating sign language in real-time. The research stage begins with creating a model. The model will be trained using the BISINDO dataset which can be accessed through an open-source dataset provider site for computer vision, and the performance evaluation will be carried out through several metrics such as Intersection over Union (IoU), Precision, Recall, and Mean Average Precision (mAP). The expected result is a model that is able to recognize and classify sign language with high accuracy based on the predetermined metrics. This research is useful in providing inclusive technological solutions to facilitate communication between deaf and hearing people, while increasing accessibility in the use of sign language.Key words — Accuracy; BISINDO; Deep learning; Sign language.
