Abstract

Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) — known in Indonesia as Sistem Informasi Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (SIM-SDM) — have become a key component that helps organizations manage employee records, run administrative processes, and support decisions related to human resources. This study was carried out to systematically map how the adoption of HRIS shapes organizational performance at both the administrative and strategic levels. It follows a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design built around the PRISMA stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and synthesis, drawing on articles published from 2006 to 2025 across Google Scholar, Garuda, SINTA, and DOAJ. An initial pool of 212 articles was narrowed down to 20 that satisfied the inclusion criteria and were examined thematically. Five recurring themes emerged from the synthesis: automation of HR administration, support for recruitment and performance management, the strategic role of HRIS in HR decision-making, its effect on organizational performance, and the factors and obstacles shaping successful implementation. Overall, the review indicates that HRIS adoption tends to bring positive gains for administrative efficiency and organizational performance, though its strategic value is only fully unlocked when paired with readiness among staff, backing from senior management, and sufficient training in using the system. It is hoped that these results can guide both scholars and HR practitioners in shaping more effective HRIS adoption strategies. Keywords: human resource information system; HRIS; organizational performance; systematic literature review

Abstract

Stroke is a noncommunicable disease that is a leading cause of long-term disability and death in many countries, including Indonesia. Stroke remains one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, with the number of cases continuing to rise each year. The objective of this study was to analyze the determinants of recurrent stroke. The objective of this study was to analyze the determinants of recurrent stroke. A cross-sectional study design was used in this research. The study was conducted at a hospital in West Sumatra Province. The sample consisted of 60 respondents. Purposive sampling was used. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods. The results showed an association between dietary patterns (p-value: 0.000) and physical activity (p-value: 0.036) and the occurrence of recurrent stroke. It is recommended that hospital management and healthcare workers improve the quality of care by enhancing stroke patients’ knowledge of the risk of recurrent stroke through proper discharge planning by healthcare workers. This will increase patients’ knowledge, leading to behavioral changes in physical activity and healthy dietary habits to prevent recurrent strokes. Keywords: Physical Activity, Diet, Stroke

Abstract

Organizations rely heavily on Management Information Systems (MIS) as the primary channel through which relevant data are converted into information that supports sound decision-making. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology matures, MIS gains new capacities—among them automated data handling, predictive-analytics functions, and decision support that is markedly quicker and more precise. The present study sets out to systematically trace how AI has been incorporated into MIS and to assess the resulting effect on the quality of organizational decisions. Guided by the PRISMA flow, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was carried out through stages of identification, screening, eligibility appraisal, and synthesis, drawing on articles published from 2019 through 2026 across Google Scholar, Garuda, SINTA, and ScienceDirect. Out of 236 articles initially identified, 20 satisfied the inclusion criteria and were subjected to thematic analysis. Five overarching themes emerged from this process: the automation and streamlining of MIS workflows; predictive analytics coupled with business intelligence; gains in the quality and speed of strategic decisions; variation across sectoral settings spanning SMEs, banking, hospitals, manufacturing, and tourism; and the practical and ethical hurdles encountered during implementation. The study concludes that embedding AI within MIS yields a positive contribution to decision-making effectiveness, although the extent of that success hinges on data quality, the readiness of human resources, and sound algorithmic governance. It is hoped that these findings can serve academics and practitioners alike as a reference point when formulating strategies for AI adoption within organizational MIS.Keywords: management information system; artificial intelligence; decision-making; systematic literature review

Abstract

Digital transformation in higher education requires effective integration of academic, learning, administrative, and decision-support services. However, existing Enterprise Architecture (EA) approaches often lack adaptability and capability-oriented mechanisms to support continuous organizational evolution. This study proposes a Capability-Driven Adaptive Enterprise Architecture Framework (CDA-EAF) to support the development of an integrated intelligent higher education ecosystem. The framework is developed using the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology, with TOGAF ADM as the architectural foundation, enhanced through capability-based planning, enterprise integration, and adaptive mechanisms. Validation is conducted through a higher education case study involving expert evaluation and architecture quality assessment. The results demonstrate that the proposed framework improves business–IT alignment, service interoperability, decision-making effectiveness, and organizational adaptability compared to conventional EA approaches. The study contributes a capability-driven adaptive enterprise architecture model that can serve as a reference for universities in developing integrated, sustainable, and smart campus ecosystems that support digital transformation. Keywords: Enterprise Architecture, Adaptive Enterprise Architecture, Capability-Based Planning, Smart Campus, Digital Transformation, Higher Education.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic and progressive noncommunicable disease that poses a public health problem in many countries. It is often referred to as a “silent killer” because the disease progresses slowly and often does not present with specific symptoms in its early stages. The objective of this study was to identify risk factors for diabetes mellitus among individuals of working age. A case-control study design was used. The study was conducted at the Tawaeli Community Health Center in September 2026. The study sample consisted of 20 cases and 20 controls. Purposive sampling was used. A research questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods. The results showed an association between dietary patterns (p-value: 0.025) and no association between the habit of drinking coffee or tea (p-value: 0.057) and the incidence of diabetes mellitus among individuals of working age. It is recommended that patients with type II diabetes mellitus control their body weight, manage their diet, engage in regular physical activity, and monitor their blood sugar levels to minimize the risk of type II diabetes. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Coffee Consumption Habits, Dietary Patterns

Abstract

Operational Management Information Systems (MIS) have become an essential enabler for organizations across sectors—spanning manufacturing, financial services, retail, and healthcare—by strengthening business-process efficiency, data reliability, and the pace of decision-making. This review sets out to chart the trends, characteristics, and principal findings reported in Indonesian scholarly literature on Operational MIS adoption, drawing on SINTA-indexed journals published between 2020 and 2025. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design was adopted, guided by the 2020 Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework. Literature was traced through Google Scholar, Garuda, and the SINTA portal using the combined search terms "management information system," "operational management," and "operational efficiency." Following identification, screening, and eligibility review, eighteen articles satisfied the inclusion criteria and were examined in depth. Findings show that Operational MIS adoption is repeatedly linked to lower operating costs, quicker information flow, more reliable data, and improved managerial decision-making. The review further points to recurring obstacles—human-resource readiness, weak cross-system integration, and constrained technological infrastructure—especially within mid-sized organizations and healthcare facilities. It closes by calling for quantitative empirical studies covering a wider range of sectors and assessing the long-term impact of Operational MIS implementation. Keywords: management information system, operational management, operational efficiency, systematic review, PRISMA
