Abstract

Aims : The increase in visits to the emergency room resulted in a buildup of patients and affected the services in the room.  The role of the emergency medical team in the initial assessment (triage) is very important to ensure that the right patient is in the right place at the right time and that nothing is missed. Nurses conduct studies and collect data accurately and consistently in 2 ways, namely reliability and validity. Methods : This type of research is quantitative with a comparative study design. The data collection instrument is primary data using a checklist observation sheet. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate. Results : Based on the results of the research conducted, it was shown that there were significant differences in the reliability and validity of the Chinese Four-Level and Three-District Triage Standard (CHT) and the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS) in emergency room patients with a p value = 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusion : health workers, especially in the emergency room unit, will be able to perform triage quickly and accurately so as to reduce mortality.

Abstract

Aims : This study aims to determine the effectiveness of semi-Fowler's and lateral positioning on the length of recovery of consciousness in patients with general anesthesia. Methods : A sample of 60 respondents was carried out using an independent T test with a significance of α = 0.05. If the test results in this study have an effect then it is obtained (ρvalue <0.05). Researchers will carry out the Normality Test and Homogeneity Test as a condition in the independent T test. Results : Researchers found that a patient's position changes how long it takes for them to wake up after surgery with general anesthesia by 87%. The largest number of respondents (35%) were between the ages of 36 and 40. This was followed by the age range of 26 to 30 years, with 16 respondents (26.7%), the age range of 20 to 25 years, with 13 respondents (21.6%), and the age range of 31 to 35 years, with at least 10 respondents (16.7%). Body temperature had a big effect on how long it took for people with general anesthesia to get better after surgery. The speed or length of a patient's return to awareness after surgery depends on the type of general anesthetic drug used. Studies show that the most widely used drug is propofol + ketamine + midazolam, followed by propofol + midazolam and fentanyl. Most of the time, a slow recovery is caused by leftover anesthetics, sedatives, or painkillers. A drug overdose can also make it take longer for a person to wake up. Conclusion : Researchers found that a patient's position and body temperature had a big effect on how long it took for them to wake up after surgery with general anesthesia. The most widely used drug is propofol + ketamine + midazolam, followed by propofol + midazolam and fentanyl. Slow recovery is caused by leftover anesthetics, sedatives, or painkillers.

Abstract

Aims: Based on the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data, there was 81.5 percent of normal deliveries, and 17.6 percent of them were born by Section Caesarea. Delivery by SC can provide higher complications than giving birth vaginally or normally. One of the conditions that cause patient discomfort is pain. One of the non-pharmacological therapies to treat post-SC pain is lavender aromatherapy. Methods: Quantitative method employing a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test design in one group (pretest-posttest design in one group). By diffusion, using a diffuser to emit a fragrant fragrance, a dose of 5-10 drops diluted with 20 ml of water is administered once every 60 minutes. This study's demographic consisted of post-Caesarean section patients treated at YPK Mandiri Hospital in December 2022. The sampling method was incidental sampling, and the sample size was forty respondents. Results: Prior to receiving lavender aromatherapy, there were 38 respondents with moderate pain (95%) and two respondents with mild pain; after receiving lavender aromatherapy, the intensity of pain decreased to mild. 39 respondents (97.5%) and 1 respondent (2.5%) continued to experience moderate pain. Aromatherapy with lavender is efficacious in reducing pain 24 hours after SC (Asymp. Sig). Conclusions: Lavender aromatherapy is effective in reducing pain 24 hours after SC; therefore, it is anticipated that lavender aromatherapy will become the primary therapy before patients are given pharmacological therapy, such as pain-relieving medications.

Abstract

Aims: According to medical record data obtained from the Bekasi Regency Hospital, the number of stroke patients has increased in the last three years, with 1,721 people (1.52%) of the total number of patients as many as 112,925 people in 2016, 2,060 people (1.82%) out of a total of 113,240 patients in 2017, and 2,875 people (2.53%) out of a total of 113,728 patients in 2018. These statistics show that the incidence of stroke is increasing year after year. Methods : Analytic with a cross-sectional approach is used in the research procedure. All stroke patients who completed outpatient examinations at the Bekasi District Hospital in December 2018 were included in this study, with a total sample size of 103 persons (Systematic Random Sampling). Univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi square test are utilized as analytical methods. Result : The occurrence of stroke is a risk factor because the function of cells, tissues, and organs decreases with age as a natural process of aging. Influence is a common source of behavior problems in children and young people. The majority of stroke patients in this study were above the age of 55, accounting for 42.7% of all stroke patients. Estrogen plays a role in boosting HDL levels. With a vascular illness mechanism, hypertension frequently produces abnormalities in the function and structure of a person's brain. Conclusion: Each of the four variables has an effect on the occurrence of stroke. With a p value of 0.05, this indicates that age, gender, history of hypertension, and history of diabetes all have an impact on the incidence of stroke.

Abstract

Aims: The nursing field needs to be more professional because people are becoming more picky about the health services they want.  Service providers need to make sure their customers are happy, especially when it comes to emergency services. This can be judged by a number of things, such as how quick and confident nurses are with their services.  How the community sees a hospital can depend on how happy its patients are.  The way the hospital grows will be affected by how few patients are happy with their care.  The number of visits will be affected by how unhappy patients are with health services.  One way to measure how well a hospital is doing at giving health care is by how happy its patients are.  The goal of this study is to find out how the response and confidence of nurses in the Emergency Room of the UKI General Hospital in 2022 affects how happy patients are. Methods: This study is of the analytical type and uses a cross-sectional methodology.  The people in the study were all 5,201 people who went to the Emergency Room at the UKI General Hospital in Jakarta.  Using the Slovin method, a sample of 84 people was taken. Using the accidental sampling technique, a sample of 77 people was then taken.  Chi Square is used to analyze data with single and bivariate tests.  Results: According to the findings, nurse services comprised responsiveness (87.0%) and safe assurance (89.6%), and respondents were happy with nursing care (88.3%). Conclusion: In the IGD Room of the UKI General Hospital in Jakarta, there is a significant relationship between nurse responsiveness (responsiveness) and patient satisfaction (p-value 0,000 0,05).  In the IGD Room of the UKI General Hospital in Jakarta, there is a strong relationship between nurses (assurance) and patient satisfaction (p-value 0,000 0,05).
