Abstract

Aims: Knowing the effectiveness of oxytocin massage on uterine involution and milk production in postpartum mothers Methods: Quasi-experimental with case-control research type. The sample in this study were all postpartum patients at the GSIA Nabire Clinic, Papua in March 2022 as many as 30 people were divided into 2 groups, 15 intervention groups, and 15 control groups (total sampling). Results:  Most postpartum mothers with normal uterine involution (80%) and milk production (50%). There is the effectiveness of massage on uterine involution and milk production in postpartum mothers with a p-value < 0.05 Conclusion: Massage effectiveness affects uterine involution and milk production in postpartum mothers. It is hoped that oxytocin massage will be used as a procedure at the GSIA Clinic so that postpartum mothers can provide exclusive breastfeeding to their children.

Abstract

Aims: To determine the effect of prenatal yoga and administration of peppermint aromatherapy in reducing third trimester discomfort in pregnant women at the Walantaka Public Health Center, Serang City Methods: This quasi-experimental design study used a one group pretest-posttest design approach. Samples were collected using quota sampling totaling 36 pregnant women in the third trimester. Results: The average before giving prenatal yoga and giving peppermint aromatherapy third trimester discomfort to pregnant women was 10.33 and the average after being given prenatal yoga and giving peppermint aromatherapy third trimester discomfort to pregnant women was reduced by 7.53. Conclusion: The effect of prenatal yoga and administration of peppermint aromatherapy in reducing third trimester discomfort in pregnant women at the Walantaka Public Health Center Serang City (p.value 0.000). It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as information material to be conveyed to pregnant women patients to be able to do prenatal yoga and give peppermint aromatherapy in reducing the discomfort of the third trimester.

Abstract

Aims: The success of health development can be seen from the nutritional status of a community. Toddlers are a very vulnerable group with nutritional problems and require special attention because of the bad consequences that can be caused if they experience malnutrition. The age range from 0 to 3 years is the golden period in children's growth and development. In this age range, the growth of brain cells takes place faster than other periods. For this reason, children need a safe and loving environment as well as nutritional intake and stimulation from parents or caregivers. Methods : This research is quantitative analytic in nature with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers who had toddlers aged 0-59 months, totaling 126 people, with a total sample of 35 people and the sampling technique used simple random sampling. Results : Obtained from 35 respondents as much as 71.4% (25 toddlers) with good nutritional status, 20% (7 toddlers) with underweight and as much as 8.6% (3 toddlers) with wasting. Bivariate analysis with the chi square test obtained results, from 71.4% (25 toddlers) with standard food intake showed good nutritional status and those who did not get food intake according to standards experienced underweight as much as 20% (7 toddlers) and wasting as much as 8.6% (3 toddlers). And as much as 51.4% (18 toddlers) with good parenting style showed good nutritional status compared to 28.6% (10 toddlers) with underweight details of 20% (7 toddlers) and wasting 8.6% (3 toddlers). Conclusions : the nutritional status of toddlers in RW 004 Kaliabang Tengah, North Bekasi is influenced by food intake and parenting provided by the family for toddlers with a P Value of  0.000.

Abstract

Aims : This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of misoprostol and oxytocin in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage at Rangga Medika Clinic, Karawang Regency in 2022. Methods : is an analytical method with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted at Rangga Medika Clinic, Karawang Regency. Research data using observation sheets. The number of respondents as many as 30 people. Data analysis used dependent t-test. Results : The results showed that the results of the dependent t test (paired t test) showed that there was a difference in the use of misoprostol and oxytocin in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage with p<0.05. Conclusions : The young age of the reproductive organs and inadequate physiological functions affect pregnancy acceptance and the postpartum period. The majority of respondents were of a healthy reproductive age between 20 and 35 years, with high-risk pregnancies occurring after that age.

Abstract

Aims: To determine the effect of the use of progestin and combined contraceptive pills on the adequacy of exclusive breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers Methods: This study employs quantitative research with a cross-sectional research design. This study included all breastfeeding mothers who came to the Lemahabang Public Health Center to use pill contraception, a total of 137 people. The sample in this study was 58 people using the purposive sampling technique. Bivariate analysis using chi-square test. Results: Most of the people using progestin pill contraceptives do not, namely 36 people (62.1%). Most of the used combination pills did not, namely 39 people (67.2%). The adequacy of exclusive breast milk production for breastfeeding mothers is mostly not enough, namely as many as 35 people (60.3%). Conclusion:   It can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of progestin and combined contraceptive pills on the adequacy of exclusive breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers in the Work Area of ​​the Lemahabang Health Center, Karawang Regency 0.05. It is recommended that breastfeeding mothers seek information about the right contraception for themselves before choosing, especially breastfeeding mothers who want to choose contraception so that their milk production is not affected or reduced.

Abstract

Aims: Depo-Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA) is a contraceptive with a 150mg dose administered every three months by injection via intramuscular. The mechanism is to prevent ovulation by thickening the cervical mucus resulting in the endometrium being non-optimal for implantation and accelerating ovum transport inside the fallopian tube. One of The side effects of contraception using DMPA is the disruption of the menstrual cycle. Primary health data in 2018 shows that quarterly injected contraceptives as the most used contraception (42,2%). The research goal is to analyze the effects of DMPA on the instability of the menstrual cycle of KB acceptors by injection in the Cikulur public health center workspace year 2022. Methods: The research is a form of analytical approach using the cross-sectional research method done in November 2022. The population of this research consists of quarterly KB acceptors in the Cikulur public health center consisting of 1.646 people. The sampling method used is an accidental sampling technique of 94 people. The instrument of this research is a questionnaire. The data analytic used is chi-square. Result: This research shows there is a relationship between age and the instability of the menstrual cycle with a p-value of 0,000; occupation with the instability of the menstrual cycle with a p-value of 0,006; the duration of use with the instability of the menstrual cycle with a p-value 0,000; medical history with the instability of menstrual cycle with a p-value 0,000; and lastly re-injection compliance with the instability of menstrual cycle with a p-value 0,000. Conclusion: There is a relationship between age, occupation, duration of use, and re-injection compliance with the instability of the menstrual cycle. A piece of advice for acceptors, the result of this research could be regarded as informational material on the side effects that might occur under the usage of KB injection by DMPA.

Abstract

Aims: Causes of infant mortality from various diseases can be prevented by giving immunizations to infants from birth, but adverse reactions related to immunization are also increasing. Pain caused by injection is an acute pain that is felt by children as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience as a result of tissue damage. One of the efforts to reduce the pain felt by neonates is to provide midwifery care, namely the kangaroo method. Knowing the effectiveness of the kangaroo method to reduce pain in intramuscular injections in newborns. Methods: Quasi experimental with Posttest Only Control Group Design. All newborns at PMB Imar khoiriah in August-October 2022 at the time of data collection were 30 people (accidental sampling). Results: The distribution of pain levels in the intervention group was mostly mild pain of 80%, and in the control group the majority of moderate pain was 73.3%. The average pain in the intervention group was 2.60 and in the control group was 4.93. There is an effectiveness of the kangaroo method to reduce pain on intramuscular injection in newborns (p value 0.000). Conclusions: There is effectiveness of the kangaroo method for reducing pain in intramuscular injections in newborns. It is hoped that midwives can use the kangaroo method as a reference for non-pharmacological pain management interventions in newborns.

Abstract

Aims: Pregnancy can cause physical and psychological changes, particularly in the third trimester, causing discomfort. Preventing these issues can be achieved through exercise, such as morning walking, static cycling, aerobics, water gymnastics, and dancing. Prenatal Gentle Yoga is a popular method for promoting good health and a normal delivery process. Objective: To determine the effect of Prenatal Gentle Yoga on Reducing Discomfort Complaints in Third Trimester Pregnant Women at Klinik Ananda Medika in 2022. Methods: The research design used in this study was a pre-experimental research method with a one group pretest and posttest design approach, namely a research design using one observation group before and after the experiment. Where the mother has never attended a Prenatal Gentle Yoga class the mother feels uncomfortable with her third trimester pregnancy (pretest) and after the mother attends the Prenatal Gentle Yoga class for 1 hour 2x a week for 4x and the mother feels comfortable (post test). Results: Based on the results of the pretest, it was found that 11 respondents (73.33%) had moderate complaints and 4 respondents had moderate and severe complaints and after Prenatal Gentle Yoga there were 10 respondents (66.67%) were pregnant women who had complaints mild discomfort, 5 respondents (33.33%) were pregnant women who experienced moderate complaints, and there were no severe categories. Based on the data above and according to the results of the Wilcoxon statistical test, a significant number or probability value (0.001) is much lower than the significant standard of 0.05 or (p <α), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect before and after the Prenatal Gentle class. Yoga at Klinik Ananda Medika. Conclusion: Based on the results of a study of 15 respondents who had done Prenatal Gentle Yoga with at least 4 class meetings, it showed that pregnant women in their third trimester had complaints of pregnancy discomforts such as frequent urination, shortness of breath, back pain, heartburn, constipation, insomnia, discomfort in the perineum, calf muscle cramps, varicose veins, ankle edema, fatigue, erratic moods, and increased anxiety indicate that the complaints are felt to be milder and even non-existent.

Abstract

Aims: as many as 39.4% of 71 women experience anxiety in the severe category. One of the contributing factors is the lack of knowledge about menopause. The large number of menopausal women represents the readiness of women to accept the changes that occur during that period. This unpreparedness is motivated by several factors, including: lack of understanding/knowledge, education, environment and so on. Objectives: To Know The Effectiveness Of Giving Peppermint Aromatherapy In Reducing Anxiety In Menopausal Mothers In Serang Village In 2022 Methods: The type of research in this research is quantitative. This research is a type of experimental research. This research will be carried out in Serang Village from October to November 2022 with the assistance of the local RT and RW heads. The reason for taking in the village of Serang is because the distance to the house is very close and you know the environment where menopausal women live. The number of samples in this study was 30 respondents. With the total sampling technique where 15 respondents were examined and given aromatherapy and 15 respondents were not examined and both used a questionnaire. The instruments used were the HARS Questionnaire and SOP for lemon aromatherapy. After that, the researchers processed the data using the t-test. Results: From the results of the analysis of the t-test data, the results obtained are p = 0.000. This figure indicates that the p value <0.05, meaning that there is an effect of giving peppermint aroma therapy on the anxiety of menopausal mothers. Conclusion: There is an Effect of Giving Peppermint Aromatherapy on Anxiety of Menopausal Mothers. It is hoped that this research can provide a means of information or knowledge about the effect of Peppermint Aromatherapy on Anxiety of Menopausal Mothers.

Abstract

Aims: menopause is the final stage of the biological processes experienced by women. Hormonal changes during menopause will cause physical and psychological symptoms, with education and knowledge about menopause can encourage ability and readiness aimed especially at premenopausal women. Purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the relationship between knowledge about menopause and the readiness level of premenopausal women. Methods: this type of research is quantitative with a case control research design. The population is premenopausal women aged 40-48 years and residing in Pisangan Jaya Village. The sampling method used was simple random sampling, and the sample in this study was 73 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire about knowledge and readiness for menopause. The statistical test used is Chi-square. Results: the results of this study indicate that of the 57 respondents the level of readiness to face menopause is in the ready category, mothers with a good level of knowledge about menopause are in the good category (64.4%), in the sufficient category (13.7%), and in the poor category (0.0%). Of the 16 respondents, mothers with a level of readiness to face menopause were in the unprepared category, mothers with a good level of knowledge about menopause were in the good category (2.7%), in the sufficient category (15.1%), and in the poor category (4.1%). Conclusion: the results of this study also showed that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers about menopause and the level of readiness to face menopause with a correlation value (p = 0.000). Because the significance value is less than the alpha value (<0.05).
