Abstract

The Salatiga Ring Road (JLS) was built with the aim of breaking down congestion on the Salatiga City protocol road. However, since 2011 there has been an anomaly in the JLS section where there has been trading activity (tiban market) every Sunday. The existence of the JLS tiban market clearly violates many existing regulations. Therefore, this paper intends to investigate the process of the emergence of the tiban market, then the position of the tiban market in the context of public policy and the implementation of policy products (Mayor's discretion) in structuring the tiban market street vendors. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive explanatory research type. The results showed that the tiban market emerged on the initiative of the local community who saw the economic potential on these roads. Furthermore, at the formal legal level the tiban market does not yet have permanent legal force, and for now it is still using the mayor's discretion from the 2014 hearing. So that discretion is used as the basis for structuring the street vendors (PKL) in the tiban market. The institution in charge of overseeing the management of street vendors is the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) and is assisted by the PKL association.

Abstract

Perception is the result of the sensing process and the process of observing someone about something that will result in a behavioral response. Human behavior is a response to stimuli both from within and outside the individual. A healthy house is a house that meets the technical terms and conditions to protect the occupants of the house from various threats and health problems, so that an optimal health degree can be achieved. The percentage of healthy houses nationally is 61.81% and Central Java province has reached 70.40%, however, in Kebonan hamlet which is located in Central Java Province has a low percentage of healthy houses, only 9%. The research aim to describe the perception of the community about a healthy house and its relation to health behavior. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews and processed into verbatim then analyzed and the validity of the results tested by source triangulation. From the research results, it can be seen that the public's understanding of a healthy house in general is still limited, the public perception of the benefits of a healthy house and the disadvantages of a less healthy house is good enough, but the method of treating community waste is still not good. The efforts that can be made by the community to maintain a healthy house are still not maximal because of limited information. The low percentage of healthy houses in Kebonan hamlet is caused by poor behavior in managing houses and household waste. Limited information affects people's perceptions about a healthy home and results in not maximizing community behavior in running a healthy house. Perceptions of a healthy home and health behavior of some people in Kebonan hamlet are interrelated, so that to form good behavior knowledge needs to be increased in order to form a good perceptual understanding and positive behavior.

Abstract

With a qualitative approach, this study intends to describe in depth the socio-cultural background and challenges of agriculture in Southwest Sumba Regency (SBD) which cause the problem of high levels of poverty in the area despite having a wealth of great agricultural potential. This research found that the world of SBD agriculture faces challenges in the form of a high level of agricultural vulnerability and not optimal management of agricultural potential. These two challenges are difficult to overcome due to the lack of farming capital caused by debt bondage due to high-cost customary practices and the characteristics of subsistence farmers. On the other hand, the trade-oriented model of commercial farming of SBD while not leaving cultural values and local knowledge has been proven to be able to overcome the challenges of agricultural vulnerability and not optimal management of SBD agricultural potential.

Abstract

Fishermen's household poverty is something that should not be underestimated because of its abundant natural products, but they are still under the cycle of poverty. A household is said to be poor if it is not able to meet the needs of their lives. Household economic characteristics are an important part of family or community life in general. Economic characteristics arise because of the desire to act in a situation that is possible with the aim of obtaining benefits for the family. Which aims to understand the household life of fishermen in the State of Seilale. In this research, data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation study using an exploratory approach. The poverty problem that occurs in Seilale fishing households is inseparable from various causes of poverty. The factors that cause poverty in the form of changes in catching season, this factor has caused uncertainty of the catches of the fishermen, so that when the season is not catching fish the fishermen find it very difficult to meet their daily consumption needs. Low education, low expertise makes fishermen stay afloat to become a traditional fisherman. Fishing equipment that is still simple and inadequate makes them also have to compete with fishermen who have modern equipment.
