Abstract

This research originated from observations of researchers on recreational facilities in the form of playing facilities in the tourist attractions of Air Manis Beach Padang. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with a survey method. The sample source data from this study is the management of tourist objects, namely the Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Padang, the community around the attractions of Padang Air Manis Beach and visitors to the attractions of Air Manis Beach Padang. The sample collection technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by the Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques by performing three stages, namely: data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results of the study concluded that in general the attractions of Padang Air Manis Beach have strength that supports the development of recreational facilities in the form of government support by providing direction for the community. Weaknesses in the condition of human resources that have less role in managing and developing this object. Whereas opportunities with a strategic place with adequate natural resources and the availability of a very wide tourist area that can be used to build recreational facilities in the form of play facilities are a great opportunity for the development of recreational facilities so that it will increase income / income for the community or local government. . But there is also a threat, there are similarities in the game facilities that are established in other tourist objects that are close to the attractions of Air Manis Beach Padang, if no effort is made to maintain and improve the quality of this tourist attraction there will be a decrease in tourist visits to the object this tour. So it is necessary to develop a recreational facility for tourism objects in Air Manis Beach, Padang. Keywords: Strategy, Development, Recreational Facilities

Abstract

This research is motivated by a lack of facilities in the tourist attraction of Padang's Pasir Jambak Beach. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative data approach using the survey method. Data collection techniques are carried out using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. In this study using Snow-Ball Sampling involving informants, namely: one employee of the Tourism and Culture Office of the City of Padang, three people and three tourists. Data is analyzed in a reduction that is summarizing, selecting and focusing on important things, and analyzing the data obtained on the problem under study.The results of this study indicate that: 1) The strength of the development of facilities at the Pasir Jambak Beach tourist attraction is the availability of potential land, and the scenery of the beach that is still beautiful and cool. 2) Weaknesses in developing facilities at Pasir Jambak Beach are limited budgets, lack of initiative in developing facilities at tourist attractions, and some lands are still community property and lack of promotion of tourist objects. 3) Opportunities for developing facilities at coastal attractions Pasir Jambak is the presence of outside and private investors, government contributions, availability of human resources, and the availability of media that can be used as tourism promotion facilities. 4) Threats from the development of facilities in the Pasir Jambak Beach tourist attraction are still low community participation, the difficulty of community acceptance of cultural differences, unhealthy competition and the difficulty in managing new business permits.The strategy for developing facilities at Pasir Jambak Beach attractions is in the form of: a) Utilizing and developing the potential of existing land in tourism objects, b) Increasing cooperation between local governments, the central government, relevant agencies, communities, and investors in developing facilities at tourist attractions, c) Conducted promotional efforts by highlighting tourism objects and uniqueness, d) The government allocates funds for the development of facilities, e) Improves the quality of products in tourism objects.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the level of hygiene of canteen employees at Daima Hotel Padang. This research consists of four indicators, namely: clean water, sewerage, trash cans and washing places. This type of research is descriptive research with qualitative data.The population in this study were employees of the Daima Padang Hotel. Data is collected by interview, observation and documentation.The results of this study are: 1) Clean water used at the Daima Padang Hotel has met sanitation standards and passed the LAIK Hygiene sanitation test from the Ministry of Health,2) Sewerage in Daima Hotel does not meet sanitary requirements because the sewerage at Daima Hotel is cleaned only once every two weeks,3) The trash can at Daima Hotel does not meet sanitary requirements because the trash can is near food that has been processed and also the trash can does not use trash cover, and the waste is not separated according to its type,and 4) The equipment washing place should have three tubs that are in accordance with the requirements set by the Ministry of Health, while at Hotel Daima only have two wash basin.

Abstract

This study aims to describe store atmosphere at Mie Api Narako Padang Café in terms of store layouts exterior indicators and interior displays. This research is descriptive quantitative using the survey method. The population in this study were consumers who had already made a purchase at Narako Mie Api Cafe Padang. The sampling technique is purposive sampling, so based on the calculation the number of samples is 97 people. The results of the description of the research data show the following: 1) exterior shows the highest percentage score which is equal to 40.2% in the sufficient category; 2) the interior shows the highest percentage score which is equal to 35.1% in the good category; 3) store layout shows the highest percentage score that is equal to 40.2% in the sufficient category; and 4) the interior displays show the highest percentage score of 47.4% in the sufficient category

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the assignments conducted by receptionist in Horison Hotel, Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The data collection techniques were interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the result, it was found that there were someassignmentsrelated to reception position in Horison Hotel Yogyakarta, they were:keeping the rooms which have been reservedby the guests who wanted to check-in immediately, conducting showing room, and coordinating information to the head for every problem or incident occurred beyond his/her authority. The result showed that it was only 60% of the reception employee in Horison Hotel who conducted their assignments.

Abstract

Sungai Batanghari merupakan sebuah sungai yang melintasi provinsi Jambi dan Sumatera Barat. Aliran sungai Batanghari melewati daerah Sungai Dareh Kecamatan Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya. Disepanjang aliran sungai ini banyak terapat penambangan emas tanpa izin (PETI) yang menggunakan air raksa atau merkuri sebagai media pengikat emas. Penelitian tentang cemaran logam berat Hg dan Pb pada sedimen sungai Batanghari telah dilakukan menggunakan metoda spektrofotometri serapan atom dan khusus untuk penentuan logam merkuri digunakan spektrofotometri serapan atom uap dingin. Parameter yang diambil untuk mengetahui kualitas sungai ditinjau dari sedimennya adalah pH sedimen, laju alir sungai, kadar logam berat merkuri (Hg) dan logam berat timbal (Pb), dari parameter tersebut telah didapatkan hasil yaitu pH sedimen 7,01 sesuai dengan baku mutu dari Peraturan Menteri Negara Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 82 tahun 2001. Laju alir sungai > 1 yang menyatakan bahwa Sungai Batanghari merupakan sungai yang sangat deras. Kadar logam berat merkuri dengan rata-rata yaitu 1,16 mg/kg dimana hasil ini telah melebihi nilai baku mutu yang ditetapkan oleh Amerika Serikat, Australia / Selandia Baru dan Hongkong yaitu sebesar 0,15 mg/kg.  Hasil pengukuran untuk logam Pb didapatkan hasil rata-rata yaitu  3,33 Hasil tersebut tidak nilai baku mutu yang diterapkan oleh Amerika Serikat, Australia / Selandia Baru dan Hongkong yaitu sebesar yaitu masing-masing 46,7 mg/kg, 50 mg/kg dan 75 mg/kg.

Abstract

Problem solving skilss are one of the purpose of mathematical learning expected by learners in the learnig process of mathematical learning. But th real problem solving, the learners are still not very good. It is seen from observation that learners are not familiar with problem solvinng. As for the daily exams 2018/2019 result which show the students grades have not yet been completed. Efforts to overcome the poor ablility to solve problems of maths learners, researchers use learning models type think talk write is better than the ability to solve problems for learners with convensional learnig models.The types of this research was quasi-experimental with the design of Randomized Control-Group Only design. The subject of this student is mia’s class protege,hight school in the country of 3 Padang composed og eight classes, the student used 11th  grade mia one as experiment class and 11th grade mia second as control class. Reseacrh tests based on the t test suggest that the cooperative learning model of the think talk write type has an influence on abilities solving problems for math using convensional learning models,the point that five percent of errors were made score P-Value is  0,076 for experiment class whereas the firts class controls score P-Value is 0,080

Abstract

Music and movement method is one method of recognizing English in children through movement and song. The implementation of this study with the aim of knowing the influence of the music and movement method has an effect on the introduction of children's English in the Islam Daud Khalifatulloh Padang Kindergarten. The research method is a quantitative method with experimental quasy types. The test is used as a data collection technique, in the form of a statement of 9 items, then the data is processed using a different test (t-test). The results of the data analysis of the experimental group obtained an average using the music and movement method 79.25 and 72.03 the control group with image media. These results can be concluded that the music and movement method influences the introduction of children's English in the Islam Daud  Khalifatulloh Padang Kindergarten

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur tingkat kepuasan tamu tentang fasilitas kamar di Hospitality Center UNP. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 indikator fasilitas kamar yaitu: fasilitas kamar tidur, fasilitas kamar mandi dan guest supplies.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan data kuantitatif.Populasi penelitian ini adalah tamu individual yang menginap di Hospitality Center UNP. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah non probability sampling, dengan mengunakan purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah  30 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner (angket) dengan mengunakan skala likert yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Selanjutnya data dianalisis melalui analisis deskriptif dengan metode Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) dan pengkategorian tingkat berdasarkan empat kuadran diagram kartesius.Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa kondisi fasilitas kamar bagi tamu di Hospitality Center UNPdilihat dari kepuasan tamu yang menyatakan bahwa fasilitas kamar tidursebanyak 55,5%sangat memuaskan dan sebanyak 44,4% tamu menyatakan kurang/tidak puas. Sedangkan dari fasilitas kamar mandi 100% tamumenyatakan sangat memuaskan, dan sebanyak 36,36 % tamu menyatakan sangat puas terhadap fasilitas guest suppliessedangkan 63,63% tamu menyatakan kurang/tidak puas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk dan menjelaskan makna penamaan tempat usaha dan menu kuliner spesifik mi dalam fitur GO-FOOD pada aplikasi GO-JEK area Padang.Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data penelitian ini berupa nama tempat usaha dan menu kuliner sepsisfik mi, sedangkan sumber datanya adalahfitur GO-FOOD dalam aplikasi GO-JEK area Padang. Tiga tahapan strategis dalam penelitian ini meliputi: 1) tahap penyediaan data, 2) analisis data, dan 3) penyajian hasil analisis data. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode simak dan dilanjutkan dengan tekhnik sadap dan demi kejelasan/keaslian data, dilakukan rekam visual berupa screenshoot pada sumber data yang terdapat dalam aplikasi. Untuk menganalisis datadalam penelitian ini digunakan metode padan (ortografis dan referensial).Sementara itu penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode penyajian informal.Bentuk penamaan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini berdasar pada beberapa hal, yakni peniruan bunyi, penyebutan sifat khas, penemu dan pembuat, tempat asal, bahan, dan keserupaan.Penamaan dengan dasar atau latar belakang keserupaan paling banyak ditemukan, sementara data penamaan dengan dasar atau latar belakang asal adalah yang paling sedikit.Jenis makna yang terkandung dalam nama tempat usaha dan menu kuliner pada penelitian ini tergolong makna gramatikal, denotatif dan konotatif, referensial, asosiasi, dan kias. Sementara itu, makna yang terkandung dalam data penelitian ini menjelaskan beberapa hal, seperti jenis usaha dengan menu spesifik mie, cita rasa pedas yang beragam (level biasa hingga sangat pedas), resep khas berdasarkan daerah tertentu, bahan utama atau campuran, serta proses memasaknya.
