Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find a model of Javanese power structure by using the perspective of structuralism, Levi-Strauss. Material object of this research is the history of the pap-Islamic kingdom in Java Starting fmm Demak, Pajang and Mataram Kingdoms, this is certainly an the contrary of theassumption of theoretical structuralism which makes history only supplement and not part of the data analyzed. The model structure is then transformed into lakon Wahyu Makhutarama. The source data used in this study consists of two types of data that is written data obtained fmm the writings that have beenrecorded, and research reports. Both data sources are the result of an interview recorded with a tape recorder. The results of this study indicate that the model is dialectical Javanese power structure consisting of elements of thesis, antithesis. and synthesis. The model is transfarmative to puppet stories in particular lakon wahyu Makhutarama in the Java power system, shows the dialectics of power in establishment of genealogical and transcendental.Keywords: Javanese Power, Structural Levi-Strauss, Dialectics

Abstract

The multimedia applicatiton, its aesthetic, and its contents are threechotomy which is inherent to the interractive education planning. All of these must be have an equal function if a developer wish to have an optimal results to the education process. This research will explore the keris as a multimedia materialapplied to the education process. This also contains an applied creation which is combine between keris education 's contents and an aesthetic of multimediaa material. The creation of “keris multimedia material" is not only given to the information purposes, but it also to have a contents in what kind of edutaive efiectwill working by using humanism approach. Abstract

Media Of learning covering hardware is easily found while the software media has been known since the development of communication and computer technology. Computer technology has supported the creation aflearning media for example application such as powerpoint presentation, VCD, MP3, web, and interactive CD. In order to make Bahasa Jawa ( Javanese language) learning not boring, it is important to try computer technology as the learning media. Besides, it is also supposed to increase the studying target. The purposeof this research is to find a model of Bahasa Jawa learning and a model structure of Bahasa Jawa learning by computer media (Computer Assisted Learning/CAL). Multimedia CAL tries ta make students active in wing learning technology especially the function of studying source development so that the studying obstacle mainly in connection with the studying source limit can be overcome, besides. it is supposed to optimalize the student role in studying actively and independently.Key words: media, educational, old Javanese. computer.

Abstract

Tapakan Barong Nawa Sanggha is not only glorified in Pura Pucak Padang Dawa but also can be found in Para Natar Sari Apuan and Puro Pucak Kembar Pucung Baturiti, Tabanan.The three tapakan, in accordance to calculation time boxed on Bali calendar, by turns. conduct the ritual ceremony ngelawarig. melelungan. or ngunya amund the various area.\' of Central Bali as the fonn of Ruwat Bumi ceremony. The ceremony of Ruwat Bumi is an unseparable part of ‘panca yadnya ’( the five holy victims) executed honestly by Hindu society. Abstract

This research conveys haw far the contribution of Karate and Tai Chi Chuan towards the movement of refine, dashing, and female dances is. Karate and Tai Chi are physical exercises given in Olah Tubuh (fitness) course in semester ll’. One of the body treatments is the use of techniques or subjects in kinds ofsport such as Karate and Tai Chi. Kind of Karate namely self defense art comes from Japan while kind of Tai Chi namely self defense art comes from China. The diflerence between them is in case of characten Karate has hard, strict, and stnong character while Tai Chi has soft, slow, and streaming character. Bothhave training disciplinary that is useful for the development of traditional dance especially in supporting the dance quality increase. As we can see that the physical aspects in body treatment are the same as those in dance covering refine, dashing, and female dances. The aspects include power. endurance. balance. flexibility, speed, liveliness, coordination, and accuracy. This research is descriptive qualitative namely the method which collecting data based an observation and interview. The data founded include data and picture. The result of this research gives much contribution in increasing movement awareness andconcentration. dance deepening and enriching dance vocabularies.Key words: tai chi, karate, the movement of refine and dashing dances, dance of Surakarta style.

Abstract

Kassian Cephas and Andreas Darwis Triadi are two most popular photographers who become benchmarks in the development of pa trait photography in Indonesialheir photos are able to bring them to higher position and are able to make Indonesia being in the same place to other developed notions in photography of their era. Analysis result through aesthetic approach of potrait photography towards potrait photos produced by Kassihan Cephas ( I 845 — I 912) and Andreas Darwis Triadi shows that the works are produced by the process of creating which is built of aesthetic values so that they are able to lift civilization of each photograph artist. The works are also produced by a good skill of photography technique as well as creativity skill with high aesthetic touch. It can be seen from the costume, make up, style, and property used increating woman portrait photography. But it also cannot leave the human practical needs to support their daily lives such as spiritual need and personal interest.Key words: Potrait Photography, Aesthetics, Kassian Cephas and Darwis Triadi.

Abstract

The study entitled “IMAGE STRATEGY OF SOLO AS A CITY OF CULTURE” includes excavation of a city image that is communicated through marketing efforts. Image of the city includes aspects of artifacts (tangible) and values (intangible). Excavation of the two aspects of imaging supports Solo as a City of Culture.Tangible aspects of the city of Solo is quite diverse as palaces, villages, buildings,temples, reservoirs, recreation areas, plateaus and many interesting sights to visit. Intangible cultural heritage, among others in the field - a field as follows oral traditions and expressions, including language; performing arts; social customs, rites, and celebrations - celebrations; knowledge and practices about nature and behavior of the universe; and traditional craft skills. Abstract

Television, both as a phenomenon as well as a cultural agent, is framing the world by means of linguistic codes. This cultural and media studies-based research applies Stuart Hall’s theories of representation and identity by which the Barthesian’s visual semiotics approach and postcolonial perspective as analysis method are used. This research aims at (a) identifying how Indonesian culture has been visualised and narrated. The result of the research confirms several points: hybrid condition bedwen tradisional and modern, the Indonesian culture has been uttering by the narrator.Keywords: postcolonial perspective, visualisation, narative, Indonesian culture
