Abstract

The focus of this study is the problem of how to structure political content displayedcomically in visual of the characters of the news program Bang One: Episode Dipercayain TV One, by Roland Barthes semiotic viewpoint. This study used a qualitative descriptivemethod. This research analyzes the characters and visual elements on the news BangOne: Episode Dipercaya. In order to assess the political concepts contained in newsprograms Bang One: Episode Dipercaya, used descriptive structure approach. The maindata sources in this study is a video news show Bang One: Episode Dipercaya equippedwith supporting data in the form of written sources and pictures. The results showedthat the visual concept characterizations of the characters in news programs Bang One:Episode Dipercaya based on conflict is relied on the work on the arrest of the criminalswho cause a crisis of confidence personal to the communal. This concept is shownthrough the medium of animation that describes the role of the characters and theirinteraction with the visual setting concept of location; supporting visual elements suchas text, bumper opening, and said balloon; and scenes each scene in news programs BangOne: Episode Dipercaya.Keywords: Bang One News, comicalization, visual, dan semiotics.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the elements of narrative and narrative structure realisticpattern on the animated series Upin dan Ipin episodes Ramadhan Kembali Lagi and MenjelangSyawal.In order to examine a series of stories in the animated series Upin dan Ipin,the approachused is narrative structure. Sources of data in a research were video animation series pin danIpin.The data was obtained through observation role and literature.The process of data analysiscarried out in several stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data analysis, andconclusions.The results of the research showed that Upin dan Ipin animated series set in abeautiful village, schools, courts, mosques, and homes of Upin and Ipin.The series uses a linearpattern,telling of the beginning of fasting until the feast.Perpetrators of these serial stories fromvarious tribes and religions.The conflict in this series is an external conflict,a conflict betweenthe main character and other characters.The purpose of this series is the physical (real).Thepattern of narrative structure used in the animated series Upin dan Ipin episodes RamadhanKembali Lagi and Menjelang Syawal is a three-stage pattern of alternative structures, namelyrealistic narrative.The series has a storyline floating,presenting a story of what it is like life itself.Although the pattern of realistic narrative has a clear goal but it is easily understood story.Keywords : Structure, narative, animation, Upin & Ipin

Abstract

The idea of a photographic creation entitled Turonggo Yakso in Ethnophotography is a follow-up in addressing the disappearance of the handwritten textbook of the founder of the art of Turonggo Yakso, which contains important notes on the art of Dongkol Village society. The book contains about the history of the art of Turonggo Yakso, the design of motion, and all the rules regarding the Baritan ceremony. The purpose of the creation of this work in an attempt to re-collect records in the form of text data from the interview results of the artists Turonggo Yakso, and visual data from the show performances which are packaged in ethnophotographic photos. The process of creating this work using the ethnophotographic method supported by Dipti Desai ie Pseudo-Ethnography or "Pseudo" ethnography, where the creator not follow the ethnographic methods strictly, but rely more on field data from interviews by informants and environmental observations. The creation of this work presents ethnophotographic works about the folk art of Turonggo Yakso in Dongko community, Trenggalek regency, East Java province from preparation, during the performance, to the end of the show.

Abstract

Whether semiotics can be classified as "science"? As an analytical tool that examines culture, semiotics is not always seen as "science". Most experts in the field of view of semiotics semiotics theory only as a tool to study the sign, namely as a system of living in a culture. However, there is also regarded semiotics as a science because it can show itself as an independent discipline. Already have a methodological tool derived from the theory. Abstract

Film is a collaborative work that combines multiple art forms. Every form of art donatesrespective roles and supports each other. Film is created as a means of communicationvia meaningful visual language and affirmed-narrative. A film raises aesthetic values andmeaning by offering interpretation from its audience. The story telling throughchoreography on the step of post-production (editing) will bring new meaning, it makesa dance film more superior than the performances of casual dance. Dance has becomea means of creating a depth of meaning on purpose to be conveyed. By using a semiotictheory, a “Socerres From Dirah” dance film which has rural setting can be perceivedthrough culture and religion of rural communities. Of the signs systems (signifier/expression and signified/contents), it has obtained connotative meaning of the effort,praying and expression of excitement for all the work done by rural communities inmaking a living for his family.

Abstract

Nowadays,the influences of televise program to audience is stronger.Therefore,media owners have to make some strategies to captivate the forum. Programs areincluding entertainment, news information, and education. Compared with the past,entertainment program is bigger than education program. Moreover, there are SingerGot Tallent programs broadcasted on televise stations, for example RCTI with RisingStar Indonesia program.This program was adapted by Rising Star from United State.Thisprogram uses telephone and vote to get the applicants or new singers. Abstract

The visualization of local culture of cow karapan in Madura Cattle episode is found in the analysis of shooting technique which includes image size,shooting angle,and camera movement. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data obtained through observation and literature study. Data analysis techniques consist of several stages that take place interactively,namely: data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions and verification.The results of this study indicate the dominance of taking a medium shot image size that gives the impression closer to the activity of individuals and groups between humans and animals related to the local culture of karapan sapi.While the dominance of the use of eye level image shooting angle has the impression of similarity in the sense that cows are treated just like humans.The use of panning camera movement dominance gives the impression of following the activity of the object.Keywords:Visualization,TVRI Jawa Timur, camera technique, Karapan Sapi.

Abstract

Television drama in Indonesia are almost dominated by soap operas. The story themes often lifted beyond the reality of society, and even tend to be exaggerated. The scenes and dialogue have sexist, rude, filthy and indecent language spoken by the children actors. Ambiguity plot, theme, and segmentation will direct the public mindset, a fictional drama on television is no longer a positive impact impressions but rather a negative influence. Screenplay is absolutely necessary to facilitate television programs production team for communicating everything related to the creative process of copywriting for film and television drama. Abstract

The hardcore genre musician identical to muscular and tattooed body, violence, and they are familiar with alcohol or drugs. It blurs social messages are actually owned by many hardcore music. Through the concept of compositing editing techniques, in particular the incorporation of some elements of video, graphic design, and photography, editors emphasize the visual aspects of the slide motion graphics and special effects that direct imaging to reconstruct the audience to the perceptions of the creator or a singer. Two music videos of the band Spirit of Life, entitled Life Change for Me dan StopTalking Start Working, a musical genre that worked in the hardcore music video to be accepted by society. Music video works it is appropriate to visualize social development as informative and educative character. Through audio-visual artwork hardcore music can be seen as the music that gave social messages.Keywords : hardcore, video, music, compositing, genre, and reconstruction.
