This research tried to know the influence of Korean drama entitled My LoveFrom The Stars toward Indonesian drama Kau yang Berasal dari Bintang. This research constituted as qualitative descriptive research with those two dramas as the objects. The findings showed that the Indonesian drama Kau yang Berasal dari Bintang drama has similarity with the Korean drama My Love From The Star in the storyline, setting, and costumes. In the storyline, both dramas used a historical time describing love story between alien and human. In the costumes, Kau yang Berasal dari Bintang, used traditional costumes like Kebaya (to show the setting time in 400 years ago) and in the My LoveFrom The Stars used Hanbok as a traditional costumes too. The similarities in the setting are both of them used outdoor area (to describe pre-modernism) and crowded city (to describe modernization area).Keywords : Korean drama, storyline, costume, dan setting.

Shiwa Temple is one of the temples located in the Prambanan temple complex, where Prambanan temple is one of the world cultural heritage located in Indonesia. On the Shiva temple there is a relief that tells epos about Ramayana.In that time,the relief become one of the efective visual media to tell stories such as the media animation in the present.Seeing from thevisualization apparently,the relief of Shiva temple has its own uniqueness and indicated to have the concept of modern animation form.This research has a purpose to know relief form and concept of animation on relief of Shiva temple.The sample of this research is taken from a Ramayana relief panel located in Shiva temple, where according to the writer, that panel hasenough visual characteristic to explain the concept of animation.The results of this study reveal the elements of the shape of the relief Ramayana on Shiva temple and the form of animated concepts applied to the relief of Shiva temple.Keywords: Relief,Ramayana,animation,and Shiva temple

In the democratic state like Indonesia, election is a routine agenda as a democratic party, which was held every five years. The democratic partyis now enlivened by the presence of party cadres who are also involved in the media world. The party cadres use the media because they know that there is a great impact caused from it. They can determine the direction of the news according to their political ideology. The research has the aim to know the strength of the ideology preaching of candidate which is also engaged in the world of media, namely, Harry Tanoesoedibjo and Abu Rizal Bakrie, through media impressions in its program.The study used a qualitative research and focused on the news program Seputar Indonesia Pagi RCTI and Kabar Pagi TV One. The collecting data used observation, literature, and documentationtechniques which took on April 2-6th, 2014. The data analysis applied the Framing techniques byGamson and Modigliani.The result showed that the news program Seputar Indonesia Pagi RCTI andKabar Pagi TV One constructed their own interests, which aims to improve imaging in the eyes of the audience which resulted in an increase in the vote at election time.Keywords: framing, angle, and news

GrabagTV is one of community televisions that has been operated in Indonesia.It wasestablished in 2004 in District Grabag, Magelang regency, Central Java. Grabag TV is noncommercial television. One of programs that aired is Gendu-Gendu Roso.This program is aninteractive dialogue aimed as a space to accommodate the aspirations of the people Grabag.This problem is then focused on how the public acceptance of the program Gendu-Gendu Rosoas a medium channeling the aspirations of the people in accordance with the goals and ideals ofIndonesia broadcasters.The purpose of this study is how the reader understand on how thepublic acceptance of the program being broadcasted on television community and the factorsthat affect the acceptance of the audience. This thesis using qualitative methods and theapproach used is reception analysis.This approach is used in order to determine how audiencesreceive the contents of the messages conveyed by the media viewed from a variety ofcontextual factors that influence.Audience acceptance will be obtained by a long process thatbecame valuable experience within the public and shaping the mindset and worldview different.The results of this study show that community acceptance of Gendu Gendu Roso in defendingfreedom of speech in the category dominant reception where the community agreed that theevent was able to become the voice of the container,as well as public acceptance of the use ofsetting events are also included in the reception dominant. While the acceptance of theaudience to the information included in the reception is dominant and negotiated.The lastdiscussion on the use of regional languages in the event showed that the acceptance of theaudience entered the reception is dominant,negotiated and oppositional.For people who fallinto the category of oppositional means that the use of the local language cannot be receivedwell.Public acceptance of the programs shown on television was not the same community.It isinfluenced by various factors in daily life such as social background, occupation, age, sex andneighborhood audiences.Keywords: Community television, audiences positioning, and Grabag TV

This study aims to descibe BW Purba Negara's creative strategy in casting and directing Mbah Sri character in the Ziarah film. The research method uses qualitative descriptive. The results showed, creative strategies in casting are done by going to villages looking for people who are suitable for the 3D character of Mbah Sri, based on physical suitability and the similarity of the story with the personal life of the actor Mbah Sri. In directing, creative strategies are done by reciting repeatedly and imitated, explaining explosively to be embedded in the memory of the character Mbah Sri, repeated repetition, and imitating a longdialogue.

Filmas an audio visual art has evolved into an important part of human civilization,especially in popular culture. One of genre simplying freedom of expression inaccordance with the purpose and desired by the creator of ideas is experimental film.On the one hand, the dancewas chosenas theembodiment ofthe expression ofthe bodywill beconveyed in thevoice of humanity aesthetic rules. Human Passions is a collaboratework ofa udio visual art and the art of dance. The initial idea is knitted from humanexperience as acreator who is accompanied by variouspassions. This film consist oftwo act, “The Birth of Passionsâ€andâ€Live With Passionâ€.The body becomes the centralobject of the creation of this work. Choreography that plotshuman life is framed in acinematic composition. Human and the spirit are symbolized by oil lamp. Oil is thehuman’s soul as light forces for lightening the spirit of human passions. This dance filmis a personal statement from the creator about human passions. This artwork describes about Javanesse culture existence which is applied into Dhukutantradition in the Nglurah society. Problems of this research are how Dhukutan tradition in theMenggung's sites as a Javanese existence indicated in documentary movie? Meanwhile, theconcept of directing is used observation,interview,and books as a reference.Then,the series ofresearch were developed into ideas in treatment namely story telling non linier and expository.This documentary movie uses four segments in the treatment 1) short introducing about Java inthe Dhukutan tradition; 2) religion and Dhukutan tradition as a phenomenon in Nglurah village;3) Dhukutan tradition process, and 4) Menggung's sites. In addition, informative is as adocumentary characteristic movie having traditional information in Nglurah. This research discusses how advertising producers provide a new formula for men nowdays. Through such as advertising, manufacturers are trying to create a standard male nowdays with efforts of disciplining the body. Pond's Mens it self always bring up the ad with a new concept when they put out a new product variant. The man of today is a manifestation of cooperation between the pond's makes Rio Dewanto as a brand ambassador. This research uses critical discourse analysis, model which Norman Fairclough classifies three dimensions of discourse consisting of text, discourse practices and socio cultural practices. The dimensions of the text simultaneously has three functions, namely the representation, relationships, and identity. The results showed that the ads were shown to men as a disciplinary body's efforts. In addition, this commercial bias occurs in practice meaning between scenes in the ad with the discourse of the present men.
