Abstract

This study aims to find out about the factors that affect external motivation to learn the results of Drawing Techniques I learned in college students S1 Studies Program of Technical Education Building, State University of Jakarta. Place of this research was conducted at the Department of Civil Engineering, State University of Jakarta in October-December 2011.In this study using survey method. The population in this study were students of S1 Studies Program of Technical Education Building Department of Civil Engineering Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta of 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 as many as 262 students and a sample of 72 students who are determined using the calculation Yamane with sampling techniques using simple random sampling . The instrument used was a questionnaire for data capture factors external motivation to learn and value the learning outcomes data UAS for Engineering Drawing I. Reliability of the results obtained from the calculation of r values for the factors of external motivation to learn at 0.935.Based on the research results can be concluded that there are factors that influence motivation to learn external learning outcomes Mechanical Drawing I. In sub-indicators to obtain a family concern that is the largest average value 3.78, and the lowest mean value contained in the sub-indicators campus environment that is equal to 2.95. Overall indicator of family environment to obtain a mean value of 3.51, an indicator of the campus environment to obtain a mean value of 3.32, and for community environmental indicators obtained average value of 3.48.Based on research results obtained that the family environment is a factor external motivation to learn the most dominant in affecting learning outcomes of Engineering Drawing I with a mean value of 3.78.

Abstract

The objectives of this research was designed to : (1) Develop interactive multimedia learning of class X of engineering mechanics on the simple beam construction subjects. (2) Determine the feasibility of the developed media learning. (3) Knowing whether the resulting product can improve learning outcomes in a simple beam construction subjects.This research is a R&D (Research and Development). The method used is an experimental method. Validated by expert instructional media content and media experts to get the feasibility trial. Further trials conducted on students of class X of expertise Building Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Jakarta totaling 83 people. Analysis results of students learning used t-test independent samples of the two parties with software SPSS 22.The results of this development means that the experimental class obtain the mean difference in learning outcomes (pre -test and post-test ) of 38.46 and a spike of 19.21 % . While the control class, obtained a mean difference of learning outcomes (pre -test and post-test ) of 26.59 and a spike of 13.3% . So we can conclude interactive multimedia learning development more effectively used in the learning process of engineering mechanics in class X SMK Negeri 1 Jakarta

Abstract

The objectives of this study analyzing the relationship between students learning achievement in the classroom and students of furniture engineering’s practice achievement. This study was conducted in SMKN 4 Jakarta, the population of this study were the year XI students which specialized in Furniture Engineering Competences and wood construction engineering, year 2012/2013 which consist of 18 students. The number of the sample is 12 students. The problem which the writer got from this study was that the students learning achievement was in proportion to the practice achievement, dan the oppositeThe instrument of this study is a test which is used to know the relation between students’ learning achievements in the classroom and the students’ practice achievement. The quesioner shows that the data were valid and the reability was high with r11 = 0.8793, with 30 point of questions (20 multiple choice questions and 10 essay questions). The result of the study showed that students’ learning achievements average score was 76.7 and students practice achievement average score was 78.67.It showed that the practice has a positive relationship (0.942). In other words, students’ learning achievement give contributions to the percentage of practice ability. The students have to prepare themselves to be focus to the lesson or material from the teacher and the teacher should prepare the material and better learning method to help the students to be able to receive all the materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between interest in working in the industry with industry practice learning achievement (prakerin) in class XI jurusa drawing technique building academic year 2011/2012 SMK Negeri 35 Jakarta. The study lasted for 3 months from August to November 2013.The place of research conducted at SMK Negeri 35 Jakarta. The population in this study were students of class XI academic year 2011/2012 majoring in engineering drawings are 39 people. The method used in this study is a method of filling a questionnaire survey to obtain primary data for the variables X and secondary data from prakerin value for the variable Y, the approach used is correlational approach. Trial questionnaire instrument conducted by 10 respondents majoring in engineering drawing class XI buildings. After the test phase results obtained valid instrument for data collection on a sample, the number of items valid statement after test instruments is 40 statement items.Data analysis techniques starts with finding the simple linear regression equation Ŷ = 93,64 + (- 0,062 X). While testing requirements analysis is to test the normality of the estimated regression error Y over X with Liliefors test produces a maximum of 0,1057 whereas Lcount, Ltable on stage at significance level (α) of 0,05 obtained a value of 0,1418 then obtained Lcount <Ltable or 0,1057 < 0,1418 thus it can be concluded that the estimated regression error Y over X is normally distributed. Linearity of regression test yield of Fcount = 1,45 while the Ftable = 2,72, then the results show that the Fcount < Ftable which means the linear regression, followed by testing the significance of regression produces that (Fcount = 0,789) < (Ftable = 4,11) so the regression by no means. The results of calculations conclude that there is negative relationship between the Interests Working in the Industry Achievement Industry Practice.

Abstract

This study aims to determine significant differences in learning outcomes, in which the learning outcomes of students who are given the type of active learning quiz team is higher than conventional methods plus the subjects of class X Science Building Construction ArchitectureSMKN 1 Jakarta.Research site at SMKN 1 Jakarta. Research time in May-June 2013. The research method used was experimental method. The population in this study are all Class X Architecture Engineering Expertise Program SMKN 1 Jakarta 2012-2013 school year, amounting to 56 students, consisting of 26 students X TGB – 1 Class (Control Class) and 30 X TGB – 2 Class (Experiment Class) . Type in the research sample is saturated sampling where the number of samples used the same amount of population that is 56 students. Data collection techniques used were tests, totaling 30 items in the form of multiple choice. Testing the validity of the results obtained about 23 items were declared invalid. Reliability of the results obtained at 0.858 with very high levels of reliability.The average value of the experimental class is 81.87 higher than the average value of the control class is 75.54. The data comes from a normally distributed population and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing research conducted by t test with a significance level of 5% value obtained tobtained = 2.614, ttable = 1.675 then tobtained > ttable or 2.614 > 1.675, so reject H0 or hypothesis of the study accepted. The results are there differences in learning outcomes significantly Science Building where students are given learning outcomes of active learning quiz team type is higher than conventional methods plus. Based on the research results prove that the type of active learning quiz team can make students actively, increase motivation and attitude in the student's responsibility to learn and improve learning outcomes of students in the Science Building Construction SMK 1 Jakarta.

Abstract

The objectives of this study to determine the perception of students and faculty Academic Advisor on Academic Advisory assignments in the Department of Civil Engineering, State University of Jakarta. The study lasted for three months from September to November 2013.Place of research conducted at the Department of Civil Engineering, State University of Jakarta. The population in this study is the student of 2009-2012 amounted to 56 people and lecturer Academic Advisory force from 2009 to 2012 amounted to 14 people so that the total respondents numbered 70 people. The method used in this study is a survey method. The trial questionnaire of 60 statements. The test is done to 10 respondents. After the test phase the results obtained valid instruments as much as 50 point statement.Data analysis technique is done by searching percentage. The results show that: (a) Students have a negative perception about the task of the Advisory Academic faculty as mentors to students at 48,49% and the perception of the Academic Advisory lecturer on Academic Advisory duties as supervisor of students showed a positive perception of 59.58%. (B) Students have positive perceptions about the task of the Academic Advisory lecturer as student advisors at 53.67% and the perception of the faculty Academic Advisory Academic Advisory duties as student advisors showed a positive perception of 54.63%. (C) There is still a shortage of the Academic Advisory task that is in terms of guidance to the student schedule and record and monitor the progress of students study. Therefore there is need for improvement in this regard.

Abstract

The objectives of this study to determine the percentage level implementation of Standard Operating Procedures learning facilities Laboratory of Civil Engineering, State University of Jakarta in the implementation of quality management ISO 9001: 2008 & IWA 2: 2007. The study lasted for three months from September to November 2013.Place of research conducted at the State University of Jakarta, precisely at 5 Laboratory of the Laboratory of Wood, Land, Material, Stone, and Plumbing Department of Civil Engineering, State University of Jakarta. The population in this study was 5 5 Laboratory of Laboratory of Civil Engineering Laboratory UNJ include Wood, Land, Material, Stone, and Plumbing. The method used in this research is survey method with data collection using a questionnaire or questionnaires. The trial questionnaire of 115 statements. The test is done to 7 respondents. After the test phase the results obtained valid instruments as much as 112-point declaration.Data analysis technique is done by searching percentage. The results show that: (a) Laboratory of Civil Engineering UNJ have a Standard Operating Procedure (POS) especially Infrastructures based quality management standard ISO 9001: 2008 and IWA 2: 2007 (b) There are four (4) POS on Infrastructures Laboratory Civil engineering UNJ whose accomplishments are not up to 100%. which amounted to 64.7% which can be categorized fulfillment are lacking, (c) Acquired four (4) percentage level of achievement of the implementation of POS Infrastructures Civil Engineering Laboratory UNJ the percentage rate of the unit does not reach 100%. The results are the result of the analysis of data derived from the 5 respondents who are Laboran of 5 laboratories in this study are: Health, Safety and Environment Laboratory (weight percentage of 73.3%) were categorized been fulfilled, Use of Laboratory (weight percentage of 71% ) categorized been met, Laboratory Equipment Loan (weight percentage of 66.8%) categorized as less fulfilled, and the maintenance and care Laboratory (weight percentage of 47.8%) were categorized are lacking, (d) There is inequality between understanding Laboran percentage of POS by 82 , 8% by POS regarding Infrastructures Laboratory of 64.7%.

Abstract

The Objectives of this study to determine whether the online testing program for Class XII students of Stone Concrete Construction Engineering Department at SMK 4 Jakarta has been successful or not. This research was conducted in the Department of Stone Concrete Construction Engineering SMKN 4 Jakarta in July 2013 until November 2013.The method used is the evaluative research method with the type of CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product), with a sample of 26 students Class XII Stone Concrete Construction Engineering Department, one of teacher Stone Concrete Construction Engineering Department, and Head of IT SMKN 4 Jakarta. The research instrument used online testing, interviews, and questionnaires.Validity test results, 10 items questionnaire is valid. While the results of the reliability test, R11 value is 0.904. To access the online testing program, Head of IT requires program of Moodle, server, internet networks, and laptop; the teachers need laptop, Hot Potatoes, and the internet networks; while the students need laptop and internet networks. The curriculum used is the Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP). The average score that student obtained from online testing is 72, and this score is lower than a Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) which has been determined 75. From the calculation of the questionnaire, percentage of successful online testing program is only 56.69% of the respondents expected. During the implementation of the online testing program, there are some issues such as school wifi network can not be used, the server often down, students must bring their own laptops and modems, and as well as a hot classroom. The impact of online testing program that is obtained by the school teachers and students can operate computers and the Internet as a means of learning evaluation. Thus, the overall implementation of the online testing program at SMK 4 Jakarta can be said to have not succeeded and need for improvement, especially in school’s internet networks and facilities to support the online testing program

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of learning media by civil engineering students during field experience program. This research was conducted at the Department of Civil Engineering, State University of Jakarta. The time period of research is January-June 2011. The research population is Civil EngineeringStudents UNJ Even Semester, 2010/2011 Academic Year. The sample used are 20 PPL students from 35 Department of Civil Engineering PPL students who did field experience program and 60 vocational school students. This research used survey method with descriptive approach. Questionnaire instruments are used in collecting the data. The instruments were tested first before used in research. Test results showed that 21 questions are valid and reliable (rtabel = 0.532). The analysis of data is using qualitative descriptive techniques with percentage.The results showed that PPL students using instructional media in accordance with the learning purposes that are analyzing the concepts and relationships,memorizing, requires higher-level thinking, and implementing physical procedures. In addition, PPL students have usedall learning media such asprinting media, programs (power point), boards, real thing, video with media devices LCD projector and computer / laptop. In this case the largest percentage is to use the board media and the smallest percentage isto use video media.The conclusion of this study is that all PPL students of Civil Engineering were usinglearning media appropriate to the learning objectives
