Abstract

Lately, religion has become something scary and worrying. Religion in the hands of its followers often appears with a violent face and seems to have lost its friendliness. In recent years, there have been a lot of conflicts, intolerance and violence in the name of religion and belief in various regions in Indonesia. In the context, it becomes reasonable when certain people call religion the source of the problem in the world. The religious views that tend to be anachronistic potentially leads to conflict. In fact, to say that religion is a source of problem is clearly not wise and unhistorical, due to the fact for centuries, religion has given contribution to millions of people. In the context of eliminating the destructive aspects of religion and presenting constructive side of it as a unifying factor, schools as an institution mandated to educate the nation should take part in providing an understanding of religion and should be capable of creating an environment that provides educational opportunities to students to construct harmonious social relations between students of different religion.

Abstract

Abstract

The period early 7th century AH (13 AD), keeps its own meaning for the Islamic world. After six centuries of expansion with its various dynamics, the land of Muslims, with the Abbasiyyah Dynasty as its symbol entered the 7th century like a body stricken with severe flu virus. While the condition was not fit, it was attacked insistently by outside parties, beginning with the Crusades and continued with Mongol attacks. The weak body finally collapsed, unconscious for some time before being able to get up. The most disastrous blow befell the Muslims was the attack that was launched by the Mongols. In a relatively short time, almost all Muslim countries were ruled by the Mongols. This paper will examine the lives of the Mongols, the reasons for attacking Muslim countries, the factors that cause the defeat of the Muslims, the impact of the attacks on the religious life and activities da'wah and some analysis about the events.

Abstract

The Bugis philosophical values about monotheism, i.e. God almighty, come from ephos Galigo, namely Dewataseuae (the Only God), Datu Palanro (the Creator), Aji Patoto (the Law Giver), La Puang e (the Owner), he is the first, who provides grace and punishes the guilty. These values are in line with the values of monotheism in Islam. Islam entered South Sulawesi in the early seventeenth century brought by three Datoks: Datok ri Bandang, Datok ri Tiro and Datok ri Patimang. These three ulemas spread Islam in the palace. Therefore, the growth of Islam in South Sulawesi never had a clash between religions (sara') and the ruler (royaltycustoms). Customary people (nobility) and the religious (sara') supported each other in the spread of Islam. Once Islam had been accepted, the Bugis philosophy namely pangngaderreng/ pangngadakkang which consists of ade', wari, rapang, talk) was finally added with sara' as one of the elements of pangngaderreng / pangngadakkang.

Abstract

Sharia banking and pawn shops play an active role in improving the well-being of society, though only by working to deliver and provide products that are needed by the family and the community widely. It is unfortunate if the financial institution as the institution of intermediation that works by relying on condition of the advantages and disadvantages of the economic factors existing in society are unable to read carefully and take part in connecting and bringing together both of these conditions so that the economic problems in the community as well as the household can be resolved. It would be of course more regrettable if it occurred to a Shariah-compliant financial institution. Household spending patterns of the community with the reality of a considerable number of needs, as well as a relatively small income, often showed a disregard for the economic order in the household economy between the amount of income earned and the amount spent. Therefore, the household economy often suffers from bankruptcy and is forced to enter into the mechanism of a credit scheme.

Abstract

The will to develop the economy of Sharia is not solely due to the spirit of religion will but there is disclosure of truth and practice of the result of scientific evolution particularly in the field of economics. The main reason is a justice perspective so as to generate ghiroh to articulate in the real world. In fact, the Sharia-based economy has evolved in some countries, even in countries that had previously proposed and implemented the concept of conventional economy with the capitalistic system. Along with these developments, Sharia economics began to appear in Colleges. In a real context, the Sharia economic system has already been practiced in the banking world. In Indonesia, the trigger was Law No. 7/1992 which was later changed to law No. 10/1998.

Abstract

Humanitarianism in Islamic economic law is interesting to study because as stated by Chaprah that the objectives and functions of monetary and banking systems have some similarities with those in the capitalist system. However, despite many similarities, there are significant differences in emphasis due to divergences in the commitment to spiritual values, social and economic justice, and human brotherhood. In Islamic economic law, production, distribution, and consumption are not only limited by the horizontal rights, but is also limited by the vertical rights. Humanitarianism in Islamic economic law is attached to the egalitarianism, justice and humanity. Egalitarianism is a concept that is needed in modern society, in which the tendency of modern society is individuality. Justice and humanity basically is something that is aspired by modern society but difficult to realize.

Abstract

Islamic thought – specifically the construction of Islamic epistemology – which lives and develops in the west part of Islam (Spain and North Africa: Marocco, Algiers, Tunisia, and Libya) has distinct characteristics from that of the East (Masyriki). The epistemological pattern of the maghribi (North African) Islam tends to follow the burhani system, a method of reasoning that relies on the power of mind (demontrative, rational syllogism) which originates from the thought of Aristotle. Such though was reflected by figures such as ibn Hazm, al-Syathibi, and ibn Khaldun.

Abstract

Islamic fiqh as a part of Islamic studies is a product of thought which always serves as an interaction between a thinker and the socio-political environment that surround him. It is in this situation that the whole Islamic fiqh is written. This is why Imam Syafi‟i for example had a different fiqh opinion; Qawl qadim and Qawl jaded. Qawl qadim is the opinion of imam syafi‟i when he was in Baghdad, while Qawl jaded is the view of imam Syafi‟i while he has living in Egypt. Therefore, it seems logical that the classical fiqh thought is put into the configuration and the general context when fiqh is produced on the one hand, and in the context of a particular epistemology on the other hand.
