Abstract

This study aims to determine the management techniques of snakehead fish in the spawning process conducted in a controlled container and to know the performance of egg quality of snakehead fish. The experimental method was done experimentally by using a complete randomized design (RAL) with three feeding treatments and three replications, the treatment consisted of treatment A using 38% artificial protein, B treatment using rucah (fresh fish), and C treatment using mascot . The test animal used is the snake head totaling 49 tail, with the size of weight 350 grams up to 800 grams. The variables observed in this research consist of fecundity, hatchability, survival rate and water quality. The feed treatment A (golden snail) resulted in the highest number of eggs (fecundity) 5928 grains, followed by treatment B (feed trash) that is 4360 grains, and treatment A (pellet feed) ie 4134 grains. The result of hatching rate analysis at the highest treatment A reached 92,10%, in treatment B hatching degree was obtained 71,42%, while at treatment C obtained 56,60%. The observation variable for seed survival rate in treatment A resulted in 4367 head, whereas at treatment B obtained larvae 2245 tail, and at treatment C obtained 1450 tail. Based on the results of the research I can conclude that with different did not give a real effect on the number of eggs, hatchability and survival rate in snake head. While for water quality measurement obtained temperature value around 27-320C, brightness 30 - 40 cm, oxygen and pH at normal value 7.  Keywords : Quality eggs, snakehead fish, Feed

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan program kemitraan masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk meningkatkan produksi dan kualitas produksi kelompok pembudidaya ikan (pokdakan) melalui pemberian pakan berimunostimulan. Metode kegiatan adalah penyuluhan dan pelatihan yang diberikan melalui tahapan penjelasan, diskusi, praktek dan pendampingan. Pelatihan diberikan dalam bentuk praktek 75% sedangkan teori 25% dengan  alat bantu berupa laptop, infocus, audio visual, boardmarker. Dalam prtaktek, anggota-anggota pokdakan diajarkan cara membuat pakan dengan penambahan imunostimulan.  Setelah empat bulan masa pemeliharaan, ikan yang diberi pakan dengan penambahan imunostimulan memiliki bobot tubuh sekitar 30% lebih besar dari ikan yang tidak diberi imunostimulan. Sebagai kesimpulan, penggunaan pakan dengan penambahan imunostimulan dapat meningkatkan produksi dan kualitas produksi akuakultur.Kata Kunci: Imunostimulan, Ragi Roti, Akuakultur, Pertumbuhan, PKM

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the productivity of the purse seine fishing gear, for skipjack (Katsuwonus pelamis) in the waters of Boalemo Regency. This research uses survey method. The results showed the highest CPUE value of skipjack (Katsuwonus pelamis) in 2012 was 9.83 tons / year and the lowest CPUE value in 2011 was 1.50 tons / year. MSY skipjack (Katsuwonus pelamis) is 3,112.45 ton / year but FMSY is only 705,55 trips. The utilization rate of skipjack (Katsuwonus pelamis) in Boalemo Regency waters is only 0.2636%. Abstract

Histamin merupakan senyawa turunan dari asam amino histidin yang banyak terdapat pada ikan. Asam amino ini merupakan salah satu dari sepuluh asam amino esensial yang dibutuhkan oleh anak-anak dan bayi tetapi bukan asam amino essensial bagi orang dewasa. Histamin akan berbahaya jika seseorang mengonsumsi ikan dengan kandungan histamin 50 mg/100 g daging ikan. Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh terhadap histamin selama penyimpanan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan konsentrasi 0 sebagai control dan 10% sebagai perlakuan ekstrak dengan lama penympanan 4 hari dengan 3 kali ulangan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian histamin pada semua perlakuan didapatkan hasil kandungan histamin berkisar antara 33,02 - 48,58 mg/100 g. Kandungan histamin pada ikan cakalang fufu masih memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) ikan asap yaitu maksimum 100 mg/100 g.

Abstract

Budidaya tambak di Kabupaten Pati mengalami peningkatan  setiap tahun, berdasarkan pola ruang, Kecamatan Tayu merupakan kawasan peruntukan perikanan. Kondisi kualitas perairan tambak berpengaruh terhadap sumber air bagi tambak. Peningkatan jumlah penduduk  dan berkembangnya kegiatan manusia berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan jumlah beban limbah yang masuk ke dalam perairan. Adapun jenis limbah yang masuk beraneka ragam, antara lain limbah industri, limbah pemukiman, dan limbah pertanian. Pemasukan limbah yang terus-menerus akan mempengaruhi kualitas lingkungan perairan dan apabila jumlah limbah melebihi daya dukung perairan, maka akan terjadi pencemaran yang berakibat buruk kepada komoditas perikanan, baik yang alami maupun yang dibudidaya. Penelitian kandungan logam pada perairan yang merupakan sumber air untuk kegiatan budidaya sangat penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui kualitas air yang akan berpengaruh terhadap produksi. Pengambilan sampel logam dilakukan pada 18 titik dengan metode pengujian menggunakan AAS untuk K, Na, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, Co, Ni, dan Cr, sedangkan untuk As, Hg, B dan Mo menggunakan metode MP-AES, sampel logam diambil dari air sumur bor, sawah, air sekitar Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI), muara, depan muara, batas laut, laut dan sungai. Hasil penelitian terhadap 17 kandungan logam menunjukkan bahwa kandungan logam Cr, Cu, Zn, B dan Mo berada pada batas normal, sedangkan kandungan logam lainnya yaitu K, Na, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Pb, Co, Ni, As, dan Hg, menunjukkan nilai yang melebihi ambang batas yang ditetapkan oleh Kantor Menteri Negara Lingkungan Hidup 2010 dan Peraturan Pemerintah No. 82 Tahun 2001 pada beberapa titik pengambilan yaitu muara, sungai, laut dan sawah. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa beberapa kegiatan telah berpengaruh terhadap kandungan logam yang telah melebihi ambang batas yang ditetapkan dan dapat memberikan dampak terhadap komoditas yang dipelihara dalam kegiatan budidaya perikanan di Kecamatan Tayu.

Abstract

The condition of coral reefs in Indonesia continues to experience pressure due to human activities and global warming. This study aims to determine the coral coverage in the waters of Larearea Island which will be the basis in the management and conservation of coral reef ecosystems in Sinjai Regency. Measurements were made at each observation station using the Line Intercept Transect method. Standardization of categorizing coral reef conditions refers to the Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 04/ MENLH / 02/2001 concerning the standard criteria for Coral Damage. The results obtained, coral cover in the waters of Larearea Island are included in the broken to moderat category. Live corals are dominated by massive and branched growth types, while dead corals are dominated by dead coral with algae.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the rate of hatching of turtle eggs with different substrates in North Gorontalo Regency. The research method is an experiment with a Complete Randomized Design (CRD), which is 3 treatments and 3 repetitions obtained from direct observations in the field will be analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The treatment consists of Treatment A (Control ie sand from natural nests), Treatment B (coarse sand with a diameter of 0.50-1.00 mm) and Treatment C (fine sand with a diameter of 0.10-0.21 mm. Based on the results of the research on turtle egg hatching with different substrates in the District of Monano, North Gorontalo Regency, it was shown that the average hatching of turtle eggs was the highest at treatment B which was 78%, then treatment A which was 50% and the lowest was in treatment C namely 39%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze suitability salt pond in the Siduwonge Village, Randangan Distric, Pohuwato Regency. This research used spatial analysis and laboratory test to know salt qualities. Result of this research show that salt from Siduwonge Village is quite suitable for use as consumption salt and industrial salt. Spatial analysis of salt ponds found that  salt fields area belong to S1 category was ±183 ha, salt fields area belong to S2 category was ±1,109 ha and area belong to N category was 6,652 ha.

Abstract

Abon fish is a dried food made from suiran-suiran meat and spices. Ingredients boiled or steamed, then disuir, mixed with spices and fried until cooked into abon. The purpose of this study was to find out the number of bacteria and the quality deterioration in skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) sold in Super Market or SME in Gorontalo City. This research used purposive sampling method with Total Plate Count Test (ALT) and Organoleptic Test. Samples of skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) were taken to determine the total number of bacteria by using the pour plate method. The results showed that 15 fish abon samples with the highest number of bacterial colonies were 220,000 cow / gr fish samples abon 9 with the number of bacterial colonies of 91,000 cc / g and 13 fish abon samples with the number of bacterial colonies of 31,000 cc / g. Whereas in the Hedonic Test method the average panelist in the color hedonic test judgment likes sample 6 with an average rating of 4.04, the panelist sense of hedonic test likes the sample 1 with an average rating of 4.08, the panelist panelic hedonic test likes sample 1 with an average grade of 3.92 and a panelist texture hedonic test favored sample 12 with an average grade of 3.68. Hedonic test analysis showed that the amount of bacteria in skull tuna abon have an effect on to decrease of quality and level of panelist preferences

Abstract

The purpose of this experiment was to improve the growth and survival if fish.  This wwas done to help solving the problems of poor growth and frequent diasese outbreak faced by fish farmers group (pokdakan).  The fish used was Nile tilapia which was stocked at  a 1000 m2 pond at a density of 10 fish/m2.  After two weeks of aclimatization process, the fish was fed pellet supplemented with 7.5 g ginger powder per kg of feed.  Feeding time was 30 days at 5% of body weigth per day with a feeding frequency of three time a day.  Sampling of fish weight was carried out at day 30th. The result showed that after 30 days of feeding, the weight of fish (initial weight 5±0.6 g/fish) achived 17.5 g in average. The average daily growth was 4.2%. There was no mortality due to disease attack during the feeding trial. So the use of ginger extract can improve growth and survival of cultivated fish.
