Komposisi: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Seni is an international journal dedicated for the publication of scientific articles in language education, literature, and arts education. It was firstly published on March 2000 with ISSN 1411-3732 in 2007 by Faculty of Language Literature and Arts Universitas Negeri Padang. This journal had ever been changed into Jurnal Bahasa dan Seni during 2004-2013. In 2014 this journal is renamed as Komposisi: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Seni applies open journal system (OJS) and peer-reviewed online journal in 2017 with Online ISSN 2548-9097.

Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN MODUL BERBASIS PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL PADA MENULIS RESENSI DI KELAS IX SMP 7  PADANG BOLAK Abstract:This research aimed to produced the module based context model of writing review material. The development of the modul model were grounded by a crucial problem, students have a low ability in writing the review by productive teaching facility or the teaching material, the teacher tend to deliver the material based on memorize context, not a synthetic thinking, so that the students fell bored and annoyed, and the teaching material was not focused in increasing students ability. Kind of this research is research and development. Research procedure used ADDIE model is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluasi. Module draft developed then validated by three expert judgement. After module in validated, the module stride was tested on student at Class IX SMP 7 Padang Bolak. The data obtained to be analyzed descriptively. This research found that (1) module based context of writing review material which was developed, (2) module based context of writing review have been practice to use in writing review lear1ning, and (3) module based context of writing review have been effective in increasing student activities and motivations on studied writing learning.Keywords: Module; writing review material; ADDIE model.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul berbasis pendekatan kontekstual pada penulisan resensi. Pengembangan modul didasarkan pada masalah krusial, siswa memiliki kemampuan menulis yang rendah dalam menulis resensi dengan fasilitas pengajaran yang produktif atau materi ajar, guru cenderung memberikan materi berdasarkan konteks hafalan, bukan pemikiran sintetis, sehingga siswa merasa bosan dan lelah, dan materi pengajarannya tidak terfokus pada peningkatan kemampuan siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Prosedur penelitian yang digunakan model ADDIE adalah Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Rancangan modul dikembangkan kemudian divalidasi oleh tiga penilaian ahli. Setelah modul di validasi, langkah modul diujikan pada siswa Kelas IX SMP 7 Padang Bolak. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa (1) modul berbasis pendekatan kontekstual dalam menulis review material telah dikembangkan, (2) modul berbasis kontekstual telah diujikan dalam penulisan resensi, dan (3) modul berdasarkan pendekatan konteks dalam menulis efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar belajar menulis.Kata kunci: Modul; menulis bahan resensi; ADDIE model.

Abstract

Understanding the mother tongue is as important as understanding the second language for language learners. Contrastive analysis provides a means to compare and find similarities and differences between the two languages so that the exchange f meaning can be done with accuracy. Abstract

As means of communication, language is an important element in mass media such as radio. Radio also has important role in the language construction and development. However, broadcasters tend to use informal language to interact with the youngster. This research is aimed at identifying the language used by broadcasters in SIPP FM Padang related to the reading method at “Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC)”. Abstract

Konsep belajar mandiri telah mendapat perhatian besar dalam penelitian dan praktik pendidikan selama tiga dekade terakhir. Konsep ini dianggap sebagai suatu pilihan dalam dunia pendidikan modern ini (Scharle & Szabo, 2000) yang menuntut partisipasi yang lebih aktif peserta didik  dan kurangnya ketergantungan kepada guru. Di bidang pembelajaran bahasa, banyak peneliti yang telah mengkaji konsep ini dalam rangka mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih tentang teori dan praktek pembelajaran otonom. Dua pendekatan yang umum digunakan oleh para peneliti dalam pembelajaran otonom adalah pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kedua pendekatan dibahas dalam makalah ini untuk mendapatkan perbandingan tentan keuntungan dan kelemahan masing-masing pendekatan yang akan digunakan untuk penelitian pembelajaran otonom. Pendekatan campuran atau kombinasi pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif juga dibahas dalam makalah ini untuk mendapatkan lebih banyak ide dan pemahaman tentang cara alternatif melakukan penelitian dalam ranah ini. Abstract

NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM NOVEL RANAH TIGA WARNA KARYA A. FUADI Abstract:This research is conducted base on background, that is, moral less of young generation until the generation should have characters. Novel of Ranah Tiga Warna by A. Fuadi describes human who have specific characteristics, such as character of education. The character is shown on speech, behavior, and story of narrator on the novel. This research tends to qualitative approach with content analysis method. The result of this study is five values of education character  in the  novel of Ranah Tiga Warna by A. Fuadi  there are believing and praying for God, truthiness, smartness, strongly, carefully.Key words: Nilai, Pendidikan Karakter, Novel,  Ranah Tiga WarnaAbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan latar belakang, kurangnya nilai moral generasi muda sampai generasi harus memiliki karakter. Karakternya ditunjukkan pada ucapan, tingkah laku, dan kisah narator pada novel. Penelitian ini cenderung pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Abstract

The wise proper efforts to preserve the local wisdom of Minangkabau culture in West Sumatra are through offering the Minangkabau natural culture as a local content subject in schools. This subject has been taught for almost twenty years. However, the results of teaching this subject do not meet the expectation. To make this subject as a way to preserve the local wisdom, the stake holders should have the strong commitment in improving the teaching and learning process through providing the learning equipments that are relevant with the advance of technology, preparing professional teachers, proving good examples from both parents and society, and teaching and using Minangkabau language as the learning materials and the medium of istruction in the process of teaching and learning Keywords: Minangkabau Culture, Local Wisdom. Abstract

NILAI KEJIWAAN TOKOH AKU PADA CERPEN MILANA DAN SUNGAI PURBA KAJIAN PSIKOLOGIABSTRAKPenelitian ini berjudul Nilai Kejiwaan Tokoh Aku Pada Cerpen Milana Dan Sungai Purba Kajian Psikologi, Pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan psikologi karya sastra, selain itu penelitian ini memfokukan pada karya sastra dari sudut kejiwaan terhadap tokoh utama pada cerpen yang sudah dipilih pengertian psikologi adalah ilmu yang mempelajari tentang kejiwaan seseorang secara ilmiah. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat beberapa kutipan yang menggambarkan kejiwaan tokoh AKU pada cerpen Milani dan Sungai Purba karya Ken Hanggara. Dari kesimpulan pembahasan kejiwaan yang dialamai tokoh AKU disebabkan karena setres berkepanjangan karena, tokoh AKU mengalami kehilangan sang ibu maka dari itu, tokoh AKU mengalami halusinasi dan mimpi yang dianggap orang-orang disekitar tidak mempercayainya.

Abstract

Learners are the subject rather than object in the learning process. Therefore, the implementation of learning should be able to give responsibility to the learners in managing the acquisition and learning results. Similarly, in learning the Indonesian language, learning the language is not directed so that learners understand the rules of grammatical and literary, but are able to develop the potential that exists in itself related to the communicative potential of language. This goal can be achieved if the learning is done by using the right approach, especially for young children. One method suggested is a natural method. The use of this method is based on the theoretical basis of language that emphasizes the role of transformational linguistic semantics as a builder and an adhesive element of meaning, both at the level of morphology and syntax. Learning theory is the foundation of cognitive psychology that emphasizes the role of cognitive ability as the basis for the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes. The application of this method is very relevant to the language development of elementary-school-age children because the achievement of learning objectives is done naturally. To make the learning takes place naturally, in the process of learning, teachers are expected to be able to present comprehensible input as much as possible. The assistance provided is aimed to develop the ability to understand. Tool-visual aids, for example, can be used to perform the exposure of vocabulary. The focus of learning is listening and reading activities, while the ability to speak and write will evolve slowly and sustainably in line with the ability to understand it. To lower the affective filter, learners are directed to engage in meaningful communication, rather than on language forms. Correspondingly, the input that was developed by teacher should be an interesting and challenging input.. Key words: Natural Method, Second Language Learning, Early Education

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the types of thematic progression used by the third year students of English Department at State University of Padang. To achieve that purpose, content analysis is chosen as the design of the research method. The findings of this research show that the ability of the students in writing is still low. This is proved by the students’ weaknesses in using thematic progression in their writing. This problem leads to the students’ insufficient ability to provide logical arguments in their writing. Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DELIKAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN NOTASI IRAMA PADA PELAJARAN SENI MUSIK BAGI GURU-GURU PESERTA MGMP SENI DAN BUDAYA TINGKAT SMP DI KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMANAbstractThis research is about Delikan (Listen-See-Do) learning model, the model of learning that can be used in teaching rhythm and notation, where this model can be combined between listening method the design of sounds/voices, see the notation, rhythm, and do practicum read, write or practice the notation. The advantages this model is at the "listen", "see", and "do" music activities that support the goals of learning music to appreciate typical of his subject matter of music in the curriculum of Arts and Culture can be practiced with the principle of learning music "learning by doing, learning by experience. "this study takes place at the junior high school teachers gathered in MGMPs Art and Culture in Padang Pariaman. There are 14 teachers from nine schools involved in discussion partner for researchers and teams at this stage of the introduction of the model (in the first year). In the second year of the study, teachers who have been provided with the Delikan learning model can be pioneering improvements in teaching music about rhythm. By doing so, the involvement of students in the classroom as a research object in the real learning is also necessary, in order to measure the success of research and development of this learning model to be developed and disseminated.Keywords: rhythm notation, delikan method, music learning AbstrakPenelitian ini adalah penelitian tentang model pembelajaran Delikan (Dengar-Lihat-Lakukan), yaitu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam pelajaran irama dan notasinya, di mana dengan model ini bisa dikombinasikan antara metode mendengar desain bunyi/suara, melihat bentuk notasi irama, dan melakukan praktikum membaca, menulis atau mepraktekkan notasi yang dipraktekkan. Keunggulan model pembelajaran ini adalah pada kegiatan “mendengar”, “melihat”, dan “melakukan” kegiatan musik yang mendukung tujuan belajar musik yang mengapresiasikan khas-nya materi pelajaran musik dalam KTSP Seni dan Budaya yang bisa dipraktikkan dengan prinsip belajar musik “learning by doing, learning by experience.” Penelitian ini mengambil setting pada guru-guru SMP yang berhimpun dalam MGMP Seni dan Budaya di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Ada 14 guru dari 9 sekolah yang dilibatkan menjadi mitra diskusi bagi peneliti dan tim pada tahap pengenalan model (di tahun pertama). Pada penelitian tahun kedua, guru-guru yang telah dibekali dengan model pembelajaran Delikan menjadi perintis untuk perbaikan pembelajran musik tentang irama ditempatnya bertugas. Dengan begitu, keterlibatan siswa di kelas sebagai objek penelitian dalam pembelajaran nyata juga diperlukan, guna mengukur keberhasilan penelitian pengembangan model pembelajaran ini untuk bisa dikembangkan dan disebarluaskan.Kata Kunci: notasi irama, metode delikan, pembelajaran seni musik
