Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of generations on career choice based on Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT). Our literature studies conclude that individual’s career choice will be highly related to the major characteristics and values from his generation. Individual from the Traditional Generations will tend to choose careers which provide firm loyalty as his personal accomplishment, whether individual from Baby Boomers will tend to choose careers which provide prestiges, facilities, and positions. The X Generation lay their personal accomplishments on freedom and balance between career and family. Y Generation which known as digital natives tend to choose careers which give them freedom and creativity to work by utilizing high technology. Similiar to their former, the Z Generation not only tend to choose careers which give them freedom and creativity but also expect feedback from the experienced people.

Abstract

Children are very passionate living his life, environment isn’t understand child development yet, thus decreasing spirit of his life developing, curiosity and empathy for his environment. Passion of life's joy developed through talent of interest based blood type, determining a sense of interest in a particular activity, for there is a love to do it. Art is a fun activity increases productivity of life, according to talent and interest without being forced. Abstract

Humans are creatures with dynamic and ethical thinking styles. In today's reality there are still many ethical violations, especially courtesy in acting done by the child. environmental conditions, internal factors and technological sophistication are often the cause of ethical violation behavior. An educational counselor in this case has the responsibility to find effective and efficient solutions in dealing with ethical violations committed by his students. Abstract

Coping strategy is a strategy to overcome the negative emotions that accompany it (Emotion Focused Coping). Handling or counseling the counselor in facing clients who experience PTSD, especially by children or adolescents who require intervention to apply coping strategies in patients with PTSD and counselors collaborate with parents as the closest people. Crisis counseling services using coping strategies is one of the efforts to help trauma victims or clients in crisis conditions using counseling approaches. The purpose of crisis counseling or traumatic counseling is to help restore psychological conditions so that clients gain an understanding of the events and receive traumatized feelings, free from post-traumatic disorders, realistic thinking that trauma is part of the journey of life, normally returning (Resilience). Therefore, the counselor needs to have a thorough understanding of the client's crisis conditions in overcoming the traumatic symptoms that arise. So counselor can provide the right strategy in dealing with PTSD sufferers.

Abstract

Trafficking is the trade of humans, most commonly for the purpose of forced labor, sexual slavery, or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficker or others. This paper is focus on the child trafficking which is one of the major problems in Indonesia and how to resolve their trauma with gestalt therapy. Trauma on child trafficking caused by violence, abuse and space restrictions. Findings that trafficking gave risks to the physical, psychological, spiritual, and sosial-emotional of young victims. Assistance is needed to assist victims of child trafficking in order to restore the original psychological condition. The most important thing in dealing with trauma on child trafficking is to build trust and give them a sense of security. Gestalt therapy techniques are useful to help victims of child trafficking gain full of awarness here and now.

Abstract

Anywhere in the world, natural disasters events cause loss of life, moreover a deep sorrow and fear for the victims. They were in a state of very uneasy, very scared, never-ending anxiety, and become prone to panic. These conditions called post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a continuous maladaptive reaction to a traumatic experience. In contrast to adults, children are in a state highly vulnerable to the impact caused by a traumatic event. Children with PTSD may show confusion or agitation. This condition brings suffering prolonged, if not given proper treatment. It required a specific intervention design for children with PTSD namely Play Therapy techniques. This intervention is one way that can be used to understand the world of children through playing, so that when used in the right circumstances can be meaningful as physical activity as well as therapy.

Abstract

Sekolah adalah suatu tempat menuntut ilmu. Semua orang tua menginginkan anak-anak mereka aman di sekolah. Penyelenggara pendidikan juga ingin menyediakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman bagi anak-anak yang belajar di sekolah tersebut. Namun permasalahan tentang bullying di sekolah kerap kali kita jumpai. Tahun 2011 hingga Agustus 2017 Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia (KPAI) mencatat 253 pengaduan terkait masalah tersebut (Berita Kompas, Juli:20170). Jumlah tersebut terdiri dari 122 anak yang menjadi korban dan 131 anak yang menjadi pelaku. Bullying yang terjadi akan menyebabkan korban trauma. Korban bullying tidak dapat belajar dengan baik merasa cemas, takut dan tidak ingin pergi ke sekolah. Hal tersebut dapat diatasi dengan konseling art therapy. Art therapy merupakan pemberian bantuan psikologis dengan media seni. Seni dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk menyembuhkan berbagai trauma. Art therapy direkomendasikan untuk dapat dilakukan di sekolah. Berkaitan dengan tujuan untuk mengatasi trauma pada anak korban bullying di sekolah, maka perlu dikembangkan penerapannya pada area konseling di sekolah.

Abstract

Meninjau data tiga tahun terakhir pada tahun 2015, 2016 dan 2017 dari KPAI (Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia) yang menunjukkan bahwa pihaknya menemukan ratusan kasus kekerasan seksual pada anak. Hal ini mendorong penulis untuk memberikan pengetahuan serta pemahaman baru kepada pembaca untuk mengenali traumatik yang dialami oleh anak (korban pelecehan seksual) serta memberikan metode pendampingan dan treatment yang tepat untuk membantu proses pengobatan psikis korban pelecehan seksual. Dalam hal ini peran seorang konselor dengan pendampingan yang benar akan menjadi sebuah bentuk pengobatan psikis yang mampu mengurangi penderitaan korban sehingga korban dapat melupakan masa lalunya dan memulai sebuah lembaran baru yang akan menjadi pijakan awal korban dalam menemukan sebuah penyembuhan trauma.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pelatihan Senam Otak atau Brain Gym yang diberikan terhadap konsentrasi belajar para siswa dalam menerima informasi atau pelajaran. Jenis penelitian PTK, Penelitian tindakan kelas dalam penelitian ini melakukan pretest dan posttest terhadap subjek penelitian atau dengan metode one group pretest posttes.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan konsentrasi siswa sebelum dan sesudah layanan bimbingan dengan metode senam otak. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil uji t sebesar t-test = 15,587 dengan nilai p = 0,000 atau (p < 0,01). Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa ada perbedaan nilai pretest dan postest yang ditunjukkan dari rerata (mean) untuk pretest sebesar 123,4 dan postest nilai rerata sebesar 153,4 sehingga nilai perbedaan rerata (mean defference) dari kedua kelompok tersebut sebesar 30. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut diatas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan bimbingan dengan metode senam otak atau brain gym dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Nation character education is increasingly faded due to the indifference of the next generation of the nation in establishing themselves into dignified personalities, this is due to the indiscipline habits. Counseling group of modeling techniques is implemented as a step to form learners to be a person of character and dignity by the habituation of the application of 5S work culture (Seiri (Seat), Seiton (Susun), Seiso (Bersih), Seiketsu (Caring, Hygiene), Shitsuke (Discipline)). This idea is the development of the implementation of the 5S program which is still found by students who are not disciplined. This study aims to improve student discipline by familiarizing the 5S culture through group technique modeling counseling. Grouping technique counseling is conducted through heterogeneous and closed groups. Group members are selected by counselors based on student discipline levels from high to low. The model used is a model directly or symbolically by displaying profiles of people who are successful and successfully apply the 5S culture. Through this activity is expected to increase student discipline to become a person of character and dignity.
