Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe and analyze the implementation of guidance and counseling supervision at the State Senior High Schools of Singkawang City, and (2) to find main factors inhibiting the implementation of guidance and counseling supervisory at the State Senior High Schools of Singkawang City. The results show that: (1) the implementation of the guidance and counseling supervision has still many weaknesses on each stage done by the supervisors, such as unidentified guidance and counseling teachers‘ needs, the program planning is not yet organized well, the supervisors do not use particular approaches, and they do not control the supervisions carried out, (2) some factors inhibiting the implementation of guidance and counseling supervision include lack of guidance and counseling supervision forces that so many guidance and counseling teachers are not supervised optimally, lack of knowledge and understanding by the supervisors on the implementation of the guidance and counseling supervision, and also minimal development of supervisory competencies in the guidance and counseling field.

Abstract

This research discusses about slow learner that has an obstacle in obtaining information for the students due to differentiate in learning styles and learning materials as well as the arrest of one individual to the others. This research presents the data from the A (8) who studies at SDN 3 Ambulu, Losari, Cirebon. The researchers use Research and Development with quantitative single object approach which is supported by experimental method that the researchers gave the treatment to enhance the abilities of A (8) such as read, write and count using Audio Lingual Method (ALM) for learning with instruments that provides the development from A in this treatment. The treatment for A (8) was success to be implemented for A (8). So, in this research the researchers will only deliver the treatment that help A (8) to enhance reading, writing and counting abilities that is relevance with A (8) as a Slow Learner in the guidance and counseling perspective.

Abstract

This study was aimed to guide students in order to use their smartphone for study needs primarily in classroom learning activities using School-Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS). Classroom Action Research and Spiral Self-Reflective as its design was used as a research method. The research process was conducted in 2 cycles where each cycle comprised planning phase, action phase, and reflection phase. Respondents were selected purposively to be members of group counseling and individual counseling as forms of SWPBS. All data were collected through questionnaire, observation, and interview technique. After receiving counseling services, students have awareness and willingness to not use their smartphone unless it is permitted by teachers for the learning medium or browsing learning resources.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently in the midst of a nation character crisis. Currently the face of the Indonesian nation is still tarnished with a variety of events that are very alarming events, such as corruption cases, news stories hoax provoking the community, some people are still easily provoked, the occurrence of student brawl, bulliying cases, promiscuity, rape, drug abuse / NAPSA, the lack of exemplary leadership of several rulers, the lack of attention of parents to children, etc. SMA as a higher education institution is one of the most important resources to develop a curriculum that clearly includes character education. Given the condition of the problem as mentioned above, it is necessary government efforts to build national character based on religion and nation culture. For that it is appropriate for schools to provide character education for students/students. Classical guidance is one form of service that is very effective and liked by students, Character education through classical guidance with Brain Storming method is expected to be fun for learners and can run as expected.

Abstract

In order for effective career counseling services counselors should understand the personality type of each client. This study aims to develop the Myer Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test tool to support career counseling services in SMK. To answer the question is tested against the test tool to determine the validity and reliability. The results show that the test equipment is valid and reliable to support career counseling services in SMK.

Abstract

An increasingly evolving world of education demands students to be intelligent and courteous. In order to form students who are smart and polite require good education. Modeling services are good exemplary services ranging from the most basic things that school counselors provide to learners. In this study the authors used descriptive qualitative research and using the type of phenomenological research. The data obtained from observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that modeling services give a dominant impact in learning morals students. In the modeling learning done by the schools through the teaching staff are done in different ways by modeling the participants, and facilitating their students in doing this service. Modeling service is very influential for the development of student behavior, proven students experience a very significant change. Various characters of students who come from various circles, can be changed through the modeling services done school. In addition, the influence of counselor characteristics in modeling is also very influential in the success of service modeling. It can be concluded that modeling services by schools through well-characterized teaching staff can have a positive impact on their students. Can be proved from the progress of students who experience a gradual change in attitude.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of puppets as a medium Punakawan PPK (Strengthening the Character Education) towards the increase of cultural awareness of IXB students of SMP Negeri 3 Pamotan. This research uses experimental research approach (quantitative) with the kind of one-group pretest-posttest design in the use of puppets as a medium Punakawan PPK (Strengthening the Character Education). The subjects of this study are 8 students who have low cultural awareness. Analyze this data using non parametik statistic by using sign test. The results of the data analysis shows that ρ = 0.004 showed smaller compared with α = 0, 5. Thus H a received and H 0 is rejected, so there is a difference in students' cultural awareness between before and after treatment, it can be concluded that the use of puppets as a medium Punakawan PPK (Strengthening the Character Education) can increase the cultural awareness of students of IXB class SMP Neg

Abstract

Memiliki anak dengan rasa percaya diri yang tinggi pasti membuat orang tua bangga. Namun yang terjadi anak justru tumbuh menjadi anak yang minder, takut dan tidak percaya diri. Setiap orang tua, pasti ingin memiliki anak dengan rasa percaya diri yang tinggi. Namun jika anak bermasalah dengan rasa percaya dirinya, ada cara mudah yang bisa di lakukan untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri pada anak. Rasa percaya diri erat kaitannya dengan rasa malu. Rasa malu yang berlebih dalam diri anak membuat anak menjadi tidak percaya diri. Sebenarnya rasa malu terlebih pada anak-anak merupakan rasa yang wajar dan normal. Namun jika anak selalu merasa malu dan menjadi tidak percaya diri hal ini patut mendapat perhatian lebih dari orang tua. Disadari atau tidak, rasa percaya diri yang rendah pada anak akan membuat anak kesulitan dalam bergaul dan bersosialisasi. Tak hanya itu, jika terus dibiarkan berbagai dampak negatif akibat rasa tidak percaya diripun bisa terjadi pada anak. Namun berbagai dampak negatif itu tidak akan terjadi jika anak dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya dirinya.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling programs are an integral part of schooling. Guidance and counseling in SMK is expected to facilitate the development of identity (identity) of students as a unique person and able to develop optimally in self-reliance. The complexity and diversity of problems faced by learners / counselors required that guidance and counseling / counselor teachers are able to provide prompt, precise services. Creativity and innovation are needed because counseling service is a combination of science and art. Art Therapy is one alternative that can be used as a solution for methods in the counseling process provided to learners. Art Therapy can be done with a variety of methods of painting or drawing, dancing, playing music instrument or singing, poetry and drama.
