Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the largest energy consumption in southeast asia and fifth in asia pacific in primary energy consumption, after a chinese, india, japan, and south korea. If considered sectorally, so having the greatest share of the transportation sector, is as much as 42%, higher than the industrial sector with of 36. Hence the need of the use of environmentally friendly alternative energy and new and renewable energy ( ebt bioetanol ) as. Bioetanol can come from organic waste as klutuk stems of a banana tree. To research it will study and to making delignifikasi adsorbsi klutuk bioetanol of a banana stem. To research will be done study delignifikasi and adsorbsi to making bioetanol of a banana stem klutuk. First, perform the process pratreatmen and delignifikasi in a banana stem klutuk with variations konsetrasi naoh 10%, 20%, 30% and temperature warming namely 100oC, 125oC, 150oC, 175oC, and 100oC. At the delignifikasi this can be said that on the concentration naoh 10% in 150oC, warming temperatures produce levels of cellulose and lignin best, to the cellulose and lignin 81,3% levels 10,1%. A banana stem fiber that has been in delignifikasi, next will be done and also hydrolysis fermentation to produce bioetanol. Bioetanol produced the application will be done distillation to separate bioetanol and water. Bioetanol next analysis used a gcms and obtained bioetanol 80,34%.

Abstract

Modify the palm fruit thresher machine into a thresher model dry split betel nut peeler by testing the tool so that it can find out the constraints of the palm fruit thresher machine, and disassembling the components or parts to be modified, namely; cover, collection channel, blade and drive clutch. The cover is designed to function to be sturdy from the impact of areca nuts and is cylindrical. The reservoir channel is designed to allow the peeled betel nut to enter the drain pipe and the blower is in charge of blowing between the peeled betel nut and the seeds. The blade is designed to peel the dry split betel nut. The drive clutch is designed to function as a connector/breaker for the engine rotation to the shaft and plain concrete iron and bearings as a v-belt retainer. In the test with a capacity of 50 kg 1 day drying, peeled 40 kg and unpeeled 10 kg with an average time of 15 minutes is the best test. Therefore, we can conclude that the best peeling results from this dry split betel nut peeler machine are almost 80% peeled.

Abstract

Ship steel plate is the main ingredient in ship building. Therefore, ship steel plate manufacturers continue to innovate to create quality steel plates for ship building in order to provide the best quality for every ship production. Quality of Material Strength Plate can be done with several tests, including bending test. Bending testing is one of the mechanical properties testing. The specimen in the form of Cargo HLB 4P004 ship plate is cut with a length of 150 mm, width 30 mm and cut into 2 parts. with welding amperes 100A, 120A and 140A then the specimens are formed with a size of 150 mm x 10 mm for later bending and the results are compared with ASTM A36 specimens. 120 Amperes with a bending strength of 0,83636434 kN /mm2, different from the ASTM A36 plate, the best bending quality obtained from a 140 Ampere welding specimen with a bending strength of 1,76107649 kN /mm2, of course material factors, welding, and plate thickness greatly affect the results of this testing.

Abstract

A rapid development of the concrete construction sector has resulted in an increase in the need for concrete raw materials that are obtained directly from nature. The need for environmentally friendly materials is also increasing along with the development of construction engineering technology, so several studies have been conducted to search for an alternative to raw materials additives or concrete mixtures. Anadara granosa clam shell can be utilized as one of the alternative materials to substitute material for coarse aggregates. In this research, Anadara granosa clam shells of 10% and 13% were added to normal concrete mixtures, aged for 28 days, and then analyzed for characteristics and compressive strength. From the analysis of the results, it was found that an increase in the concrete compressive strength up to 103.67% or 233.47 Kg/cm2 with the addition of clam shells 10% to normal concrete mixtures, while the addition of more than 10% can reduce the concrete compressive strength. Scanning Electron Microscopy results showed a relatively rough surface and many pores on the surface of the concrete due to the addition of a clam shell. Finally, it can be concluded that Anadara granosa clam shells can be used as concrete additives with a maximum addition of 10% of the total weight of normal concrete.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of a hybrid dryer by combining the utilization of solar energy (solar dryer) and biomass power sources. Utilization of solar thermal energy sources by maximizing solar heat radiation sources which are absorbed directly into the drying chamber in the form of a transparent house with ventilation holes for fresh air to enter and moist air to exit. This process will produce hot air circulation (convection) in the drying chamber continuously so that the process of evaporation of water from the material being dried is faster. The temperature of the hybrid dryer with a sun source without the test material was 56º C. In the hybrid dryer test with a biomass combustion power source without the test material, the maximum temperature was 46 º C with a stable temperature of 40 º C. In the hybrid dryer test with a solar power source with the material test with a drying rate for 6 hours of drying there was a reduction in the mass of areca nut by 19%. The performance of the hybrid drying machine is better when the temperature is controlled with a setting temperature of 60º C. The average drying rate of areca nut from the hybrid dryer is 1 kg/hour

Abstract

A company cannot be separated from consumers and the products it produces. Consumers certainly hope that the goods they buy will be able to meet their needs and desires so that consumers hope that the product has good and guaranteed conditions. Therefore, companies must see and maintain that the quality of the products produced is guaranteed and accepted by consumers and can compete in the market. This study is intended to analyze whether the resulting product is not in accordance with the specified product quality standards and analyze what factors cause product defects. The study was conducted at PT. KLX for 30 days as many as 6000 pipes taken chatter, step, burs defect data using statistical processing control (SPC). The results of this study conclude that based on the P-Chart analysis that has been carried out at PT KLX, there are 3 types of defects that occur in threaded pipe products, namely chatter defects, step defects, and burs defects. So the products produced by PT KLX do not meet the quality standards that have been determined by the company, the factors that cause product defects are in accordance with the fishbone causal diagram, namely workers (people), raw materials (materials), machines (machine), Method (method).

Abstract

Isu guna tenaga berlebihan dan pemanasan global akibat daripada pembebasan gas rumah hijau (GHG) yang tinggi ke atmosfera mengancam alam sekitar. Antara penyumbang kepada permasalahan ini adalah amalan penggunaan tenaga berlebihan terutamanya di sektor bangunan. Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu telah mengariskan 17 indikator Matlamat Pembangunan Mampan (SDG) dengan salah satunya adalah mengurangkan pembebasan karbon menjelang tahun 2030. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mereka bentuk, membangun dan menguji Sistem Smart ZEB bagi mewujudkan kelestarian pada bangunan konvensional kepada bangunan rendah karbon. Sistem ini mengetengahkan teknologi hijau melalui aplikasi internet of things (IoT) sebagai alat memantau dan mengawal di samping penggunaan peralatan jimat tenaga dan amalan penggunaan tenaga boleh diperbaharui. Dapatan kajian mendapati lebih 76% penjimatan tenaga dan pembebasan karbon dapat dilaksanakan dengan penjimatan sebanyak 0.6% bayaran utiliti di Politeknik Mersing. Ini secara tidak langsung dapat mengekalkan kelestarian bangunan konvensional kepada bangunan rendah karbon. Pembangunan sistem ini menyokong kepada Agenda Pembangunan Mampan Negara 2030 dari elemen kemampanan ekonomi, sosial dan persekitaran yang selari dengan indikator SDG7, SDG9, SDG11, SDG13 dan SDG16

Abstract

Permesinan bantu atau generator merupakan motor bantu yang menjadi sarana untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan listrik diatas kapal dalam menghasilkan energi daya. Pada kapal KMP. Salvino terdapat 2 (dua) unit generator yang berfungsi memasok seluruh kebutuhan listrik diatas kapal, yaitu dengan merek YANMAR 6HAL-TH dengan daya masing-masing sebesar 2x130 kW dan 1 unit generator darurat yang bermerek CUMMINS NTA 855 G4 dengan daya sebesar 280 kW. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mesin bantu cadangan merek CUMMINS Engine. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui analisis pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pada penentuan kapasitas daya generator peneliti melakukan beberapa tahap proses untuk mencari hasil yang optimum. Pada penentuan kapasitas daya generator, peneliti melakukan beberapa tahap pertama, menghitung kapasitas peralatan yaitu dengan menghitung nilai faktor beban Sea normal going, operation, At Port, dan Anchor. Kedua menghitung kebutuhan daya pada ketiga nilai faktor, ditambah dengan pada saat cuaca buruk. Setelah didapatkan kebutuhan beban, peneliti melakukan pengujian sebanyak 3 kali dengan beban variasi sampai beban puncak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Generator yang ada di KMP. Salvino sudah cukup optimal dan efisien dalam memenuhi syarat standar aturan instalasi listrik yang tertera dalam (BKI) Pt. 1, Vol. IV yang mana mempersyaratkan bahwa sumber tenaga listrik yang ada di kapal dengan total daya yang dikeluarkan 15% lebih tinggi dari pada daya yang ditetapkan dalam power balance.

Abstract

Service quality is a very important factor and root that is capable of satisfying its customers. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors that determine service quality (servqual) on customer satisfaction at PT. Bank Sinarmas Tbk Kcp. Jambi Tebing Tinggi and knowing service quality (servqual) on customer satisfaction at PT. Bank Sinarmas Tbk Kcp. Jambi Tebing Tinggi. This study uses primary data that comes from direct observation and direct distributed questionnaires which are then analyzed using the servqual test and multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that customer satisfaction is influenced by the parking area, physical equipment owned, employee appearance, security facilities, fast service to customers, employee knowledge of bank products, personal attention to customers in terms of service and employee sensitivity to know customer interests (reality) and to determine service quality (servqual) to customer satisfaction, namely reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy, while the assessment of unsatisfied customers is tangible

Abstract

Boiler mempunyai peranan penting dalam proses produksi uap, dimana uap akan digunakan untuk menggerakkan turbin uap dan generator sebagai penghasil energi listrik untuk kebutuhan pabrik dan uap keluaran turbin digunakan untuk proses pengolahan.Berdasarkan pengujian dan perhitungan dan pembahasan yang dilakukan pada penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan Kebutuhan uap untuk operasional turbin agar dapat menghasilkan daya aktual sebesar 1200 kw Adalah sebesar 25.200 Kg uap . Kebutuhan uap untuk pengolahan kelapa sawit berkapasitas 45 Ton TBS/Jam adalah 21.600 Kg uap/jam. Debit uap rata-rata yang dihasilkan oleh boiler pengoperasian boiler adalah sebesar 31.000 Kg uap/jam. Pengoperasian boiler sebagai pembangkit turbin dengan daya 1200 Watt aman karena produksi uap boiler lebih besar dari daya yang digunakan untuk pembankit turbin yaitu sebesar 25.200 Kg uap dan yang dihasilkan boiler sebesar 31.000 Kg uap/jam terdapat selisih 5.800 Kg uap/jam. Pengoperasian boiler sebagai Target Produksi berkapasitas 45 ton TBS/jam aman karena produksi uap boiler lebih besar dari kebutuhan uap untuk target produksi yaitu sebesar 31.000 Kg uap/jam yang dihasilkan boiler dan sebesar 21.600 Kg uap/jam Yang digunakan proses target produksi terdapat selisih 9.400 Kg uap/jam.
