Abstract

AbstrakDistribusi berkelanjutan berfokus pada tahap distribusi rantai makanan (dari gerbang produsen hingga konsumen) dimana kegiatan ini melibatkan resiko yang berkelanjutan. Dalam minimalisasi kerusakan yang disebabkan oleh peningkatan ketahanan terhadap bahaya untuk mendorong efisiensi ekonomi, kesejahteraan dan kesetaraan sosial, serta perbaikan lingkungan dalam jangka panjang. Dengan aktivitas distribusi yang begitu kompleks maka rentan adanya risiko terhadap proses distribusi pada pertanian organic. Untuk menangani risiko distribusi berkelanjutan pada Pertanian orgainik dengan mengidentifikasi risiko dan menentukan prioritas sumber risiko yang dapat ditimbulkan beserta prioritas strategi penanganannya pada proses distribusi dengan melihat kinerja dari KPI dan model House of risk (HOR). Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat 15 KPI, dengan 22 risk event dan 35 risk agent yang teridentifikasi. Hasil dari HOR fase 1 diketahui 13 risk agen dominan dan pada peta resiko Terdapat 5 kategori merah, 7 kategori kuning dan 1 kategori hijau. Kemudian pada HOR fase 2 dilakukan prioritas strategi penanganan. Terdapat 19 prioritas strategi penanganan pada proses distribusi yang dapat dilakukan dan pada peta resiko untuk semua risk agent berada pada kategori hujau.

Abstract

Pendidikan kejuruan memiliki peran strategis dalam mencetak sumber daya manusia yang kompeten dan siap menghadapi dinamika industri yang terus berkembang. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan konseling dan pembimbingan dalam penerapan kaizen management di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dimulai dengan tahap pembuatan proposal, dilanjutkan dengan survei dan peninjauan lokasi setelah itu melakukan wawancara, kemudian dilakukan tahapan mengidentifikasi permasalahan mitra dan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan peralatan untuk pelatihan dan pembimbingan, setelah itu dilakukan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Pada tahap wawancara ditemukan permasalahan perlunya memperkenalkan prinsip-prinsip yang berlaku di dunia kerja/industri kepada siswa untuk memperkaya pengetahuan siswa sebelum memasuki dunia kerja, akhirnya disepakati untuk dilaksanakan pemberian materi terkait kaizen manajemen untuk memperkenalkan salah satu prinsip dasar yang digunakan di dunia industry. Prinsip Kaizen itu sendiri sudah banyak diterapkan pada perusahaan. Dengan memahami prinsip-prinsip Kaizen Manajemen, siswa akan memiliki bekal untuk berkontribusi dalam upaya perbaikan berkelanjutan di tempat kerja mereka nantinya. Kaizen itu sendiri merupakan filosofi manajemen berkelanjutan yang berfokus pada perbaikan terus-menerus. Pengabdian ini melibatkan kolaborasi antara dosen, tenaga pengajar/guru, dan siswa SMK. Sebelum memulai kegiatan tim PKM membagikan kuisioner yang harus diisi oleh peserta pelatihan. Pertanyaan ini digunakan untuk melihat pemahaman peserta terlebih dahulu terkait topik kaizen. Setelah itu baru dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan pelatihan dan pembimbingan. Setelah kegiatan pelatihan dan pembimbingan selesai, dilanjutkan dengan menyebarkan kuisioner post test. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengukur seberapa pemahaman peserta terkait materi yang telah disampaikan. Berdasarkan hasil Hasil analisis pre-test dan post-test terlihat adanya dampak positif. Sebelum mengikuti sosialisasi, nilai rata-rata pengetahuan peserta sebesar 2,150, sedangkan setelah sosialisasi rata-rata nilai peserta post-tes sebesar 4,552. Artinya terdapat peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 2,402 poin atau 111,7% yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap prinsip Kaizen. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi sudah efektif sesuai dengan tujuan kegiatan.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) represent a significant occupational health issue, particularly in sectors involving frequent manual handling, which is a major contributor to MSDs risk. The high incidence of MSDs among warehouse workers underscores the critical need for thorough risk analysis in manual handling activities to enhance worker health and safety and reduce associated injuries. This study contributes to this effort by analyzing MSD risks specifically in the warehouse environment of PT DNL, employing two established assessment methods: The Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and The Manual Handling Assessment Chart (MAC) Tool. By systematically observing manual handling tasks, data were collected and evaluated to determine the level of MSD risk faced by workers in these high-exertion activities. The REBA analysis revealed that workers’ postures, especially during tasks such as unloading from lower stacks and repositioning for distribution, carry a very high risk, with a total score of 11. Similarly, the MAC Tool assessment identified critical risk factors, with lifting operations scoring 17 (indicating four high-risk factors) and carrying operations scoring 15 (indicating two high-risk factors). These findings point to immediate intervention requirements, with recommendations such as using hydraulic lift tables and automatic pallets to reduce bending, alongside instituting guidelines to ensure packages are easy to handle, like incorporating box handles. This research provides a valuable framework for MSD risk reduction strategies in manual handling, contributing to improved occupational safety standards in warehouse operations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi strategi Green Manufacturing dan Green Distribution terhadap peningkatan kinerja UMKM. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan dari 100 UMKM menggunakan metode survei, wawancara, dan observasi. Analisis dilakukan dengan regresi linear untuk mengukur hubungan kuantitatif, serta analisis SWOT untuk memahami kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dihadapi UMKM dalam implementasi strategi ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Green Manufacturing berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja operasional melalui efisiensi energi, pengelolaan limbah yang bijaksana, dan proses produksi ramah lingkungan. Selain itu, penerapan Green Distribution yang mencakup manajemen rantai pasok berkelanjutan, optimalisasi transportasi, dan pengemasan ramah lingkungan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi distribusi, menekan biaya, serta memperbaiki citra bisnis. Penggunaan teknologi informasi dan inovasi logistik turut mendorong pengurangan jejak karbon dan meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan. Meskipun demikian, tantangan berupa keterbatasan pengetahuan teknis, biaya investasi awal, dan infrastruktur yang belum optimal menjadi hambatan utama. Rekomendasi penelitian mencakup pengembangan akses teknologi ramah lingkungan, pelatihan kesadaran lingkungan bagi pelaku UMKM, serta penguatan strategi distribusi berkelanjutan. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya sinergi antara praktik ramah lingkungan dan efisiensi bisnis dalam mendukung keberlanjutan dan daya saing UMKM.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of resilient supply chains in improving the competitiveness and performance of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Makassar City. The research method used is a mixed method approach involving 100 respondents from various sectors including food and beverages, handicrafts, and textiles. The results show that 75% of the respondents have implemented elements of resilient supply chains, such as supplier diversification and the use of information technology, which contribute to improved operational efficiency. Regression analysis shows a significant positive relationship between the implementation of resilient supply chains and the competitiveness of MSMEs, with a regression coefficient of 0.65 (p < 0.01). In addition, 70% of the respondents reported an increase in sales and customer satisfaction after adopting resilient supply chain strategies. These findings are consistent with the literature that emphasizes the importance of flexibility and adaptability in supply chains. This study recommends that MSMEs in Makassar City continue to adopt best practices in supply chain management and seek support from the government to create an ecosystem conducive to business growth. The results of this research are expected to contribute significantly to the development of supply chain management theory and practice in the small and medium industrial sector in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the aspects of enhancing distribution logistics services through the optimization of ergonomic concepts, focusing on the critical role of ergonomics in improving employee productivity and safety within the logistics sector. Utilizing a case study methodology, the research identifies key challenges in implementing ergonomic practices, such as high initial costs, resistance to change, and the lack of standardized guidelines. The study proposes actionable solutions for effectively integrating ergonomic concepts into distribution logistics services, aiming to create safer and more comfortable work environments that promote employee satisfaction and efficiency. The findings highlight the potential benefits of ergonomic optimization, including enhanced operational efficiency, reduced workplace injuries, and improved employee well-being, which collectively contribute to a more engaged workforce. This research serves as a foundation for future studies aimed at further enhancing logistics services through ergonomic principles, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and competitive industry. Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of human resources at PT. Wanxiang Nickel Indonesia (WNI), is influenced by a lack of responsibility, low awareness of work risks, and insufficient employee skills. The research method employed is the Human Resources Scorecard (HRS), involving a Likert scale for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Pairwise Comparison in the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results of the study indicate the highest weight is found in the perspective of employees' intellectual competence (1.079) and work competence (0.981), followed by emotional competence (0.303) and personality competence (0.246). This research aims to improve human resource (HR) performance and productivity within the company. The intellectual and work perspectives play a significant role in the evaluation, while emotional and personality perspectives also contribute meaningfully. Recommendations: the company needs to develop these perspectives in a balanced manner to enhance overall human resource performance and productivity at PT. WNI.

Abstract

The digital outreach activity conducted by students of Universitas Ibnu Sina Batam at several secondary schools aimed to raise students' awareness of the importance of maintaining a clean learning environment, creating ergonomic classroom spaces, and understanding digital security threats that may disrupt learning. The main issue addressed was the low level of student literacy regarding healthy living practices and the risks of digital fraud. Through a technology-based educational approach, students delivered material interactively using visual presentations and conducted live simulations to demonstrate how to identify harmful messages and protect personal information. The methods used included face-to-face counseling, participatory discussions, and practical exercises to recognize suspicious messages resembling online scams. The results showed that students became more aware of personal and environmental hygiene, understood the need for classroom layouts that support comfort and safety, and demonstrated increased vigilance against the risk of data theft via digital platforms. The activity also encouraged students to actively participate in discussions and share experiences related to hygiene and cybersecurity in the school environment. It can be concluded that an integrated educational approach combining hygiene, ergonomics, and digital safety effectively provides new understanding for students and fosters critical thinking and responsibility in maintaining a healthy and secure learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze supply chain efficiency in the concrete roster industry in Batam by comparing the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Just-In-Time (JIT) methods with the conventional inventory approach. The main issue faced by the industry is the high total inventory cost due to suboptimal ordering frequency and significant storage expenses. The data used are actual production figures and raw material requirements throughout 2024. A quantitative approach was applied using EOQ and JIT calculations. The results show that the EOQ method generates an annual inventory cost of Rp7,595,000, which is significantly lower than that of the JIT method at Rp10,400,000 and the conventional method at Rp145,650,000. EOQ proves to be more efficient by optimizing order quantities and minimizing storage costs. In contrast, the JIT method effectively eliminates storage costs but increases ordering costs due to more frequent orders. This study recommends adopting the EOQ model as an efficient inventory management solution for medium-scale manufacturing industries. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for strategic decision-making in logistics and supply chain management.

Abstract

This study focuses on improving the efficiency of seaweed production at PT. IHFIM through the development of a discrete event simulation model. The production system includes several main stages such as Pre-Treatment, Initial Rinse, Quality Check, Thermal Drying, Disinfection, and Final Blending. Field observation and actual production data were used to build the simulation model using ProModel software. Model verification was done through running simulations, and validation was conducted statistically using a t-test, confirming that the simulation outputs were consistent with actual conditions. The analysis identified two bottlenecks in the system: Pre-Treatment with 12.88% blocked time and Initial Rinse with 11.60% blocked time. To address these issues, two improvement scenarios were tested. Scenario 1 added an extra tank to the Pre-Treatment stage, which successfully reduced the blockage to 0%. Scenario 2 introduced additional buffer capacity at the Initial Rinse and Quality Check stages, resulting in a 4% reduction in blockage. The results show that increasing capacity at key points can improve material flow and reduce delays. This study concludes that discrete simulation is an effective method for identifying bottlenecks and evaluating operational improvements in agro-industrial production systems
