Abstract

The sportainment phenomenon has transformed sport participation into an experience-oriented activity, especially in running events that integrate athletics, entertainment, community engagement, and lifestyle elements. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of experiential motivation on participant satisfaction and the effect of participant satisfaction on the intention to continue run-sportainment. This study aims to investigate the effect of religious orientation on the relationship between experiential motivation and participant satisfaction in a Muslim society. In this quantitative methodology, a cross-sectional survey was conducted with participants who had participated in at least one run-sportainment event in Bandung in the last 12 months. Data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by partial least squares structural equation modeling. The results indicate that experiential motivation increases participant satisfaction. This means that good event assessments are promoted by immersive, engaging, pleasurable, and memorable experiences. Participants’ satisfaction encourages the desire to remain involved, which indicates that satisfied participants are more likely to re-engage, recommend similar events, and engage in future sportainment endeavors. However, religious orientation does not affect the relationship between experience motivation and participant satisfaction. These findings emphasize the necessity of creating impactful and engaging sportainment experiences to maintain participant engagement.

Abstract

Innovative work behavior has become an essential requirement for public sector organizations in responding to increasingly dynamic workplace changes. However, at the Center for Competency Development of Bina Marga, employees' innovative work behavior has not developed optimally despite their participation in competency development programs. This condition is presumed to be associated with employee involvement and employees' ability to adapt to changes in the workplace. This study aims to examine the relationship between employee involvement and innovative work behavior through workforce agility as a mediating variable. The study employed a quantitative approach using descriptive and explanatory research methods. The research population consisted of 831 training program alumni from the Center for Competency Development of Bina Marga, with the sample selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that employee involvement is positively associated with workforce agility, workforce agility is positively associated with innovative work behavior, employee involvement is positively associated with innovative work behavior, and workforce agility significantly mediates the relationship between employee involvement and innovative work behavior. These findings suggest that fostering innovative work behavior is associated with strengthening employee involvement and workforce agility alongside competency development initiatives.

Abstract

Access to Islamic financing remains a challenge for Sharia financial institutions, even as the industry and Sharia banks continue to grow. Although the majority of the Indonesian population is Muslim, this does not mean that everyone uses Sharia banks. Factors such as financial literacy, financial anxiety, and risk attitude also influence individuals' use of Sharia banks. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and financial anxiety on access to Islamic financing, with risk attitude serving as a mediator. Employing a quantitative approach, the study utilized a sample of 411 respondents, supplemented by interviews with two individuals to support the analysis. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling, specifically targeting individuals who utilize Sharia banking services, and the data were analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that financial literacy has a significant positive effect on access to Islamic financing, including a positive effect mediated by risk attitude; conversely, financial anxiety showed no significant effect on access to Islamic financing. Interview findings also corroborate the influence of financial literacy on access to Sharia banking services. This study offers significant implications for the development of Sharia-compliant financial services and for individual access to them.

Abstract

Stock price movements among basic materials sector issuers on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) are influenced by internal corporate financial conditions and macroeconomic shifts. This study examines the impact of Return on Equity (ROE), Current Ratio (CR), Earnings per Share (EPS), exchange rates, and economic growth on stock prices in this sector from 2021 to 2025. Utilizing a quantitative approach, secondary panel data were collected from official reports published by the IDX, Bank Indonesia, and the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). Purposive sampling selected 27 companies, yielding 128 observations analyzed via the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) in EViews 12. The empirical findings indicate that ROE does not significantly affect stock prices. Conversely, CR, EPS, and the exchange rate significantly and negatively influence stock prices, while economic growth exhibits a significant positive impact. Jointly, all independent variables simultaneously affect stock prices, with an R-squared (R2) value of 97.55%. These insights indicate that equity valuation in this industry is highly responsive to liquidity, per-share earnings, currency depreciation, and overall economic progress. Consequently, investors and executives must evaluate these metrics to optimize strategies.

Abstract

Firm value is an important indicator of investor confidence, yet accounting performance and market valuation do not always move together in Indonesian state-owned banks. This study examines the associations of the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) and Return on Assets (ROA) with Price-to-Book Value (PBV) in four state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021–2025. A balanced panel of 40 bank-semester observations was estimated using a bank fixed-effects model. The reported conventional estimates indicate positive associations of DER and ROA with PBV. The adjusted R² is 0.8468, but it includes the bank fixed effects and should not be attributed to the two financial ratios alone. Because the panel contains only four banks and the available output does not provide panel-robust standard errors, the inferential results are interpreted cautiously as associational evidence. The findings underline the need to interpret bank liabilities as part of the intermediation model and to assess profitability together with bank-specific risk and capitalization indicators.

Abstract

In an increasingly dynamic and uncertain business environment, organizations require strategic capabilities to respond effectively to technological, market, and competitive changes. This study examines the relationships between Strategic Human Capital (SHC), Dynamic Capabilities (DC), and Organizational Agility (OA), with particular attention to the mediating role of DC among corporate managers in Riau Province, Indonesia. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted involving 250 corporate managers from various industrial sectors. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with 5,000 bootstrap subsamples. The results indicate positive and significant relationships between SHC and DC (β = 0.765, p < 0.001), SHC and OA (β = 0.325, p < 0.001), and DC and OA (β = 0.582, p < 0.001). The model explains 58.5% of the variance in DC and 67.5% of the variance in OA. These findings indicate that strategic human capital is associated with organizational agility both directly and through the development of dynamic capabilities. The study contributes to the Resource-Based View and Dynamic Capability Theory by explaining the role of dynamic capabilities in linking strategic human capital with organizational agility in a rapidly changing business environment.

Abstract

The intensifying competition in the Indonesian video streaming industry has made customer loyalty a critical success factor, with exclusive content emerging as a key differentiator among platforms. This study aims to analyze Netflix's K-Drama content exclusivity strategy in the Indonesian market and its role in shaping sustainable customer loyalty. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven active Netflix subscribers and secondary data from industry reports, public documents, and media coverage for the 2022–2025 period. The findings reveal that Netflix implements exclusivity through three main pillars: original production, exclusive rights acquisition with windowing strategies, and algorithmic curation. K-Drama functions as a strategic Value Unit, creating artificial scarcity, while customer perceptions are divided into two loyalty clusters: platform-loyal and content-loyal. Sustainable loyalty is formed through the Customer Loyalty Loop cycle, reinforced by Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) as an emotional driver, along with psychological and social switching costs. This study concludes that K-Drama exclusivity strategies serve not only as customer acquisition tools but also as effective retention mechanisms through creating defensible network effects, contributing to the literature on platform economics and loyalty strategies in the digital streaming industry.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Subscription Video-on-Demand (SVoD) services has shifted the industry's strategic focus from user acquisition toward retention, yet current literature emphasizes cognitive paradigms over behavioral manifestations. This study aims to develop and test an integrated retention model grounded in the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S–O–R) framework by examining the relationships among technical stimulus, social viewing influence, perceived value, binge-watching, and continuance intention among Netflix users aged 18-25 in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Using a quantitative survey design, data were collected from 304 valid respondents drawn from the Generation Z cohort and analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show good model performance, with an R-square of 0.628 for continuance intention. All hypothesized direct and indirect relationships were positive and significant. Technical stimulus and social viewing influence significantly enhance perceived value, which subsequently drives binge-watching and strengthens continuance intention. Mediation analysis confirms the pivotal role of binge-watching in transforming cognitive evaluation and social influence into continuance intention. Theoretically, this study extends the S–O–R framework by integrating cognitive and behavioral mechanisms in explaining digital retention. Practically, the findings offer guidance for SVoD providers to optimize social engagement features and personalization strategies to reduce churn.
