Abstract

The rapid growth of Bali’s villa accommodation sector has intensified competition among property management companies, particularly in maintaining employee retention and service quality. This study examines the effects of compensation and working hours on turnover intention through job satisfaction among operational employees in a Bali villa property management company. The study applies Social Exchange Theory to explain employee responses toward organizational treatment. A quantitative method was utilized by gathering survey information from 242 active employees. The collected information was examined through Partial Least Squares Structural Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS4. The findings indicate that compensation and working hours significantly influence job satisfaction and turnover intention. Job satisfaction plays a crucial role in influencing the connection between pay, hours worked, and the desire to leave the job. The study highlights the importance of fair compensation systems, balanced workloads, and flexible working arrangements in improving employee satisfaction and reducing turnover intention within Bali’s hospitality industry.

Abstract

Seasonal tourism destinations face boom-bust cycles, workforce instability, and recurring financial pressure that threaten organizational sustainability, making employee wellbeing a strategic concern for building organizational resilience. This study aims to synthesize the relationship between employee wellbeing and organizational resilience in seasonal tourism destinations, to map the mechanisms linking the two constructs, and to identify relevant contextual factors. Using the PRISMA 2020 protocol (Page et al., 2021), the review screened 487 records from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar and analyzed 22 peer-reviewed articles published between 2021 and 2025. The synthesis shows that employee wellbeing comprises hedonic, eudaimonic, and social dimensions and is transmitted to organizational resilience through three pathways: psychological capital, organizational commitment, and organizational learning. Seasonality intensity, HR policy, and local culture moderate this relationship. The study’s novelty lies in the proposed Wellbeing-Based Organizational Resilience (WBOR) Framework, an integrative model that positions employee wellbeing as the human-capital foundation of resilience through reciprocal psychological, relational, and cognitive pathways. Practically, managers are advised to invest in year-round wellbeing programs, retention-oriented commitment building, and continuous learning to stabilize the seasonal workforce and strengthen adaptive capacity.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce and digital marketing has transformed Generation Z’s online shopping behavior, highlighting the need to understand how digital marketing stimuli influence purchase intention. This study aims to analyze the influence of gamification, live streaming, and social influence on Generation Z’s purchase intention in Priangan Timur, with flow experience as a mediating variable. A quantitative survey involving 300 respondents was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicate that gamification, live streaming, and social influence significantly influence flow experience, which subsequently has a significant positive effect on purchase intention. Mediation analysis demonstrates that flow experience partially mediates the relationships between the three digital stimuli and purchase intention, with live streaming producing the strongest indirect effect. These findings confirm the central role of flow experience within the Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) framework and highlight its importance in developing experience-based digital marketing strategies. The study’s novelty lies in integrating gamification, live streaming, and social influence into a unified SOR model while positioning flow experience as the key mediating mechanism. Future research should validate the model across different regions, generations, and digital platforms by incorporating trust, perceived enjoyment, and AI-powered personalization.

Abstract

The background of this research is to developthe Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by integratingthe variables of trust and privacy concern to analyze theinfluence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust, and privacy concern on customers' attitudes andintentions to use AI chatbots in Sharia mobile banking. Aquantitative research design was employed, and datawere collected via an online survey from 292 activemobile-banking users of Islamic banks in GreaterBandung, Indonesia, comprising both existing AI-chatbotusers and non-users evaluating their intention to adoptthe technology. The proposed research model wasanalyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural EquationModeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that perceivedusefulness has a positive and significant effect on attitudetoward using AI chatbots, while perceived ease of useand trust do not significantly influence attitude.Interestingly, privacy concern demonstrates a positiveand significant relationship with attitude, indicating thatprivacy-aware customers may develop favorableevaluations of chatbot services when adequate dataprotection mechanisms are perceived. The mediationanalysis shows that attitude mediates the effects ofperceived usefulness and privacy concern on behavioralintention, whereas the indirect effects of perceived easeof use and trust are not statistically significant.

Abstract

Improving institutional performance has become a critical challenge for Universitas Winaya Mukti in responding to the increasing demands for higher education quality, organizational governance, and the achievement of institutional performance indicators. Specifically, Universitas Winaya Mukti is ranked 366th among 562 universities in Indonesia, and its employee attendance rate stood at only 75.2%, indicating that leadership effectiveness and organizational culture remain the two aspects most in need of improvement. This study aims to analyze the effect of servant leadership on institutional performance and examine the mediating role of organizational culture. The research employed a quantitative method with descriptive and verification approaches. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents within Universitas Winaya Mukti. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that servant leadership has a positive and significant effect on organizational culture and institutional performance. Furthermore, organizational culture positively influences institutional performance and mediates the relationship between servant leadership and institutional performance. These findings suggest that strengthening service-oriented leadership practices and fostering a supportive organizational culture can significantly enhance the institutional performance of Universitas Winaya Mukti.

Abstract

The competitiveness of traditional footwear industry clusters has declined due to increasing market competition, technological change, and limited organizational capabilities among small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Despite various development initiatives, the Cibaduyut Footwear Industry Cluster continues to face challenges in sustaining its competitiveness. This study aims to diagnose the competitiveness gaps affecting footwear SMEs using a capability-based approach. A qualitative embedded single-case study was conducted involving 20 purposively selected informants representing SMEs, government, industry associations, academia, and supporting institutions. Data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using thematic analysis with open coding, axial coding, and triangulation. The findings reveal high capability gaps in production, technology, management, and marketing, together with moderate-to-high gaps in innovation and stakeholder collaboration. These deficiencies lead to inconsistent product quality, weak market positioning, limited innovation, and low adaptability to market changes. The study concludes that competitiveness decline is a systemic capability problem rather than an isolated operational issue. It contributes to the competitiveness literature by proposing a capability-based diagnostic framework that integrates organizational capabilities and cluster ecosystem factors to support more effective competitiveness improvement strategies.

Abstract

: Lower financial management behavior among Generation Z is associated with financial literacy, Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), and gender differences, all of which drive variations in economic decision-making. This study intends to evaluate how financial literacy and FoMO dictate financial management behavior, while exploring the role of gender as a moderating factor among Generation Z residing in Bandung Raya. Adopting a quantitative research framework, primary data were gathered via digital questionnaires (GForms). This study used simple random sampling with a sample of 145 respondents; the target number of respondents was 150, with the basic sample size calculated using the G-Power program. Data analysis was executed through multiple linear regression coupled with Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) utilizing SPSS 27. The empirical evidence demonstrates that financial literacy exerts a positive and significant impact on financial management behavior, whereas FoMo manifests a significant negative effect. Furthermore, gender successfully moderates the nexus between financial literacy and financial management behavior, yet it fails to moderate the connection between FoMO and financial management behavior. These outcomes indicate that elevating financial literacy and mitigating FoMO are vital to fostering superior financial management practices among Generation Z, and gender dynamics must be integrated when designing financial literacy interventions.

Abstract

The performance of pilotage services is commonly assessed based on systematic service-time indicators. However, achieving the prescribed service time does not necessarily indicate the absence of operational issues related to pilot work behaviour. The present study complements the existing literature by extending the assessment to behavioural factors, including communication, compliance, and work discipline. Furthermore, work ethic is believed to moderate the relationship between these work behaviour factors and performance. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effects of communication, compliance, work discipline, and work ethic on pilot performance, as well as the moderating role of work ethic in these relationships. Pilot performance is assessed using external perceptions, responses from 177 masters of vessels collected through an online questionnaire. This study employs a quantitative method and utilizes PLS-SEM. The findings of this study indicated that communication and compliance do not significantly affect performance. Meanwhile, work discipline and work ethic significantly affect performance. Furthermore, work ethic does not significantly moderate the effect of communication and compliance on performance but significantly moderates the effect of work discipline on performance.

Abstract

Ethical leadership and ethical culture have been widely recognized as important factors in promoting organizational citizenship behavior. However, the contextual role of organizational culture in shaping these relationships remains insufficiently understood. This study examined the relationships among ethical leadership, ethical culture, organizational citizenship behavior, and the moderating role of organizational culture. A quantitative explanatory research design was adopted. Data were collected from 331 employees in Batam, the majority of whom were aged 18–27 years, using purposive sampling through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicated that ethical leadership positively influenced ethical culture and organizational citizenship behavior, while ethical culture positively influenced organizational citizenship behavior. Organizational culture did not significantly moderate the relationship between ethical leadership and ethical culture. However, organizational culture significantly moderated the relationship between ethical culture and organizational citizenship behavior in an unexpected negative direction, indicating that the positive effect of ethical culture became weaker as organizational culture increased. These findings highlight the importance of ethical leadership in fostering ethical culture and encouraging organizational citizenship behavior while suggesting that the moderating role of organizational culture is more complex than originally hypothesized.
