Abstract

This study examines the effect of entrepreneurial literacy, entrepreneurial behavior, and market orientation on the sustainability of halal food MSMEs in Medan Timur District. This issue is important due to increasing competition, limited managerial skills, and low market adaptability. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through online questionnaires from 86 MSME actors selected from a population of 600 businesses. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that entrepreneurial literacy, entrepreneurial behavior, and market orientation have positive and significant effects on MSME sustainability, both partially and simultaneously. These variables explain 81.2% of the variance in sustainability, while 18.8% is influenced by other factors. Market orientation has the strongest effect, highlighting the importance of understanding customer needs and market trends. Therefore, improving these aspects is essential to support sustainable MSME development.

Abstract

School aged children are a vulnerable group to nutritional problems that may affect growth, cognitive development, and skills. One major contributing factor is inadequate knowledge of balanced nutrition. This study aimed to examine the differences and effects of Bookzi media and lecture methods on students’ knowledge and attitudes toward balanced nutrition among fifth-grade students at SDN 01 Mangga Dua Selatan. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was applied. The population consisted of 116 students, with 56 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using t-tests and F-tests with SPSS software. The results showed that both Bookzi media and lecture methods had significant partial effects on improving knowledge and attitudes toward balanced nutrition (p<0.05). Simultaneously, both methods significantly influenced all post-test variables (p=0.000). However, the increase in knowledge and attitude scores was higher in the Bookzi group than in the lecture group. These findings indicate that edutainment-based educational media are more effective in enhancing students’ understanding and fostering positive attitudes toward balanced nutrition.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of Posyandu cadres’ roles, nutrition education by health center officers, and maternal compliance in complementary feeding on stunting among toddlers. A quantitative descriptive-verificative method was applied to 95 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Results showed all variables simultaneously had a significant effect on stunting (Sig.<0.05; R²=0.840). Partially, cadre roles and maternal compliance had positive significant effects, while nutrition education showed a negative but significant effect. Collaboration among cadres, health workers, and families is essential for effective stunting prevention.

Abstract

The expansion of financial technology (FinTech) has increased access to digital financial services, particularly among emerging digital finance users in developing urban contexts. However, while prior research has focused on initial adoption, limited attention has been given to continuance behavior. This study addresses this gap by examining the determinants of FinTech adoption and continuance among users in Makassar, Indonesia, by integrating the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Expectation–Confirmation Model (ECM). Data from 200 FinTech users were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show that Effort Expectancy and Social Influence significantly influence User Satisfaction, while Facilitating Conditions significantly affect Continuance Intention. Within the post-adoption stage, Confirmation strongly influences both Perceived Usefulness and User Satisfaction, and User Satisfaction emerges as the strongest predictor of Continuance Intention. In contrast, Performance Expectancy does not significantly affect User Satisfaction, indicating that users prioritize usability, accessibility, and social validation over performance benefits. The model explains 70.3% of the variance in Continuance Intention, demonstrating strong explanatory power. These findings emphasize the importance of user-centered design, social influence, and infrastructure support in sustaining FinTech usage, while contributing to the integration of adoption and post-adoption frameworks in emerging digital finance contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of operational efficiency and financial structure on the profitability of conventional commercial banks in Indonesia during 2014–2022. Profitability is measured by Return on Assets (ROA), while the explanatory variables include Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Capital Ratio (CR), and bank size (SIZE). Using secondary data from the annual financial statements of 12 conventional commercial banks, this study applies the Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (Panel ARDL) model with the Pooled Mean Group (PMG) estimator to distinguish short-run dynamics from long-run equilibrium relationships. The findings confirm the existence of a stable long-run relationship among the variables, as indicated by a significant error correction term. In the long run, DAR has a significant negative effect on ROA, while CR has a significant positive effect. SIZE shows a significant negative relationship with ROA, suggesting that larger banks in the sample may face scale-related inefficiencies. BOPO also has a positive and significant long-run effect on ROA, indicating that operating expenses may reflect broader operational and revenue-related conditions rather than cost inefficiency alone. In the short run, only CR and SIZE significantly affect ROA, whereas DAR and BOPO do not show significant effects. These findings highlight that bank profitability is shaped by dynamic internal adjustment processes and provide implications for bank managers and regulators in maintaining prudent leverage, strengthening capital resilience, and improving the quality of operational management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of National Electricity Consumption on National Productivity, proxied by Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and to examine the moderating roles of the Producer Price Index (PPI) and Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) Output in this relationship. Theoretically, this study integrates Transmission Mechanism Theory, Cost-Push Theory, and Input-Output Analysis to explain that the relationship between electricity consumption and GDP is influenced by the absorption capacity of the real sector and production cost pressures. This study uses secondary data for the period 2010–2023 obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), PT PLN (Persero), and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, employing a regression approach with a moderation model to test direct and interaction effects. The results indicate that National Electricity Consumption does not have a statistically significant effect on GDP, and neither PPI nor MSE Output significantly moderates this relationship. These findings suggest that the relationship between electricity consumption and economic growth cannot be empirically supported within the specified model and indicate limitations in model specification as well as potential multicollinearity issues. Conceptually, the results remain relevant to theoretical frameworks emphasizing the importance of structural conditions such as price stability and real sector capacity; however, policy implications should be interpreted cautiously. This study contributes by highlighting the need for careful interpretation of the energy–growth relationship and the importance of more appropriate methodological approaches in future research.

Abstract

This study examines the role of social media marketing in influencing customer engagement, trust, and customer loyalty among local bakery customers in Bogor City. The research aims to analyze the direct effects of social media marketing on engagement, trust, and loyalty. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with data collected through questionnaires. The results show that social media marketing has a significant effect on customer engagement and trust but does not directly influence customer loyalty. Customer engagement and trust also do not significantly affect loyalty. These findings imply that customer loyalty requires factors beyond digital interaction, particularly product quality and customer experience.
