Abstract

Sustainable agriculture based on a green economy is an urgent need to address the challenges of the climate crisis, land degradation, and farmers' high dependence on chemical inputs. Nganjuk Regency, as an agricultural region, has significant potential to develop environmentally friendly agriculture through the implementation of a green economy. However, adoption of these practices remains limited due to limited access to information, funding, and institutional arrangements. Cooperatives, as people-based economic institutions, play a strategic role in driving this transformation by providing access to financing, training, and facilitating sustainable supply chains. This research aims to analyze the role of cooperatives in promoting the implementation of green economy principles in the agricultural sector, by emphasizing local wisdom as a cultural value embedded in traditional agricultural practices. This study is crucial for strengthening local institutions and addressing the challenges of sustainable development in the agricultural sector. The targeted outputs of this research include publication in accredited national journals and other additional outputs (IPR, international proceedings, and textbooks) as well as providing policy recommendations for local governments in supporting the strengthening of the green economy in Nganjuk Regency. Thus, this research contributes to encouraging sustainable economic growth based on resource efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study analyzes the operational management functions, challenges, and TQM implementation at the Al-Ghuraba Foundation in Dompu to formulate strategies for performance improvement. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that operational management has evolved into strategic management through SWOT and SMART analyses, despite facing hurdles such as manual administrative systems. Key challenges include financial vulnerability due to a heavy reliance on School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds, high teacher turnover, and administrative burnout. The implementation of TQM highlights a Service Quality Paradox, where the institution's moral assurance compensates for its physical limitations. Consequently, this study proposes an Integrated TQM and Entrepreneurial Management model to synergize educational quality with financial independence.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of social presence and virtual store experiences on consumer trust in e-commerce platforms located in Cirebon City, delving into how affective and cognitive factors shape confidence in a localized online retail setting. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal associative design, data was collected through comprehensive questionnaires distributed to 385 individuals who had engaged in purchases on e-commerce sites, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test hypotheses and assess inter-variable relationships. The findings reveal that social presence has a positive and significant impact on consumer trust, while virtual store experiences similarly exert a positive and substantial effect. Collectively, these elements explain a considerable portion of the variance in trust, as indicated by a robust coefficient of determination, suggesting that trust emerges from a blend of emotional interactions and rational evaluations of system usability and virtual store features. Practically, the research provides valuable guidance for e-commerce managers to strengthen trust through improved social interactions and optimized virtual store designs, potentially increasing online purchases, supporting local digital businesses, and promoting sustainable economic progress and technological advancements in regional markets.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed marketing practices and consumer behavior, particularly through the use of social media. This study aims to analyze the effects of social media marketing and brand trust on repurchase intention, with customer satisfaction serving as an intervening variable, in the context of cold chain logistics at HSN Group. The study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, using primary data collected from 100 customers who have used HSN Group’s services and interacted with the company’s social media platforms. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that social media marketing has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention. Brand trust is shown to have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, but it does not have a direct effect on repurchase intention. These findings underscore the important role of customer satisfaction in strengthening long-term relationships with customers and encouraging repeat purchases.

Abstract

This study aims to address operational inefficiencies at PT Freight Express Surabaya, specifically focusing on document delays and inter-divisional coordination issues. Employing the descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach through the Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework, data was collected via observations, in-depth interviews, and historical shipment documentation. The results of the Measure phase indicate the company's baseline performance is at the 3.89 Sigma level with 8,241 Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO). The dominant issue identified through Pareto analysis is the lack of inter-divisional coordination. Root cause analysis (Analyze) using Fishbone and 5 Whys reveals that the primary failures stem from systemic failures in information transfer management and the absence of data validation at the source (quality at source). In the Improve phase, a Digital Gatekeeping strategy and formalization of communication protocols were formulated, projected to enhance performance to the 4.14 Sigma level. The Control phase emphasizes digital-based SOP standardization and real-time monitoring to ensure the consistency of improvements.

Abstract

Seaweed cultivation requires supporting facilities, including buoys to maintain the stability of cultivation lines in marine waters. In coastal areas of Nunukan, discarded plastic bottles and shrimp feed containers are widely used as buoy materials, contributing to marine plastic waste accumulation. This study employed a single case study approach focusing on a pioneer entrepreneur producing recycled seaweed buoys in Mamolo, Southern Nunukan. The research aimed to analyze the value added and profitability of this business. Data were obtained from one respondent who actively manages buoy production, and the Hayami method was applied to estimate value added from processing plastic waste into seaweed buoys. The results showed that value added reached Rp 47,702.70. Margin distribution indicated that 2.83% was allocated to labor income, 10% to other inputs, and 87.22% to entrepreneur profit. The Margin of Safety was 75.08%, the MIR was 49.26%, and profit reached 36.99%, demonstrating both economic and environmental potential.

Abstract

This study employed a quantitative approach involving 180 students of Pondok Pesantren Hasyim Asy’ari Bangsri Jepara, selected using the Slovin formula from a total population of 280 students. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that life skills have a positive and significant effect on the decision to enroll, both directly and indirectly through perceived trust and perceived value. Personal branding does not have a direct effect on the enrollment decision; however, it significantly influences perceived trust and perceived value. Perceived gender equality is found to have the strongest direct and indirect effects on the decision to enroll, as well as a significant effect on perceived trust and perceived value. Furthermore, perceived trust and perceived value play significant mediating roles, confirming that the decision to enroll is the result of an evaluative process based on trust and long-term perceived benefits. These findings suggest that enrollment decisions are not solely determined by institutional image, but rather by educational substance, environmental fairness, and the trust and value perceived by students and their parents. Therefore, Islamic boarding schools should prioritize strengthening life skills, fostering inclusive environments, and building trust as key strategies to attract prospective students.
