Abstract

The creative industry is one of sector that has rapid development in Indonesia, especially in Bandung. The part of this sector that tends to decrease every year or have smallest development level is Handicrafts. Although the number of businessman in this part is less than in food and beverage part, the competition between them is also fierce. The businessman should be the one who can decide the proper competitive strategy to survive in this competition. The other way to do to win the competition is applying innovation strategy towards the product so that it can be different from our competitor products and attract more customers. This research determined the relationship between innovation strategy and competitive advantage in the UKM handicraft business in Bandung. Linear regression will be used to determine this relationship. Industri kreatif adalah salah satu sektor yang memiliki perkembangan pesat di Indonesia, khususnya di Bandung. Bagian dari sektor ini yang cenderung menurun setiap tahun atau memiliki tingkat pengembangan terkecil adalah kerajinan tangan. Meskipun jumlah pengusaha di bagian ini lebih sedikit daripada di bagian makanan dan minuman, persaingan di antara mereka juga sengit. Pengusaha harus menjadi orang yang dapat memutuskan strategi bersaing yang tepat untuk bertahan dalam kompetisi ini. Cara lain yang dilakukan untuk memenangkan persaingan adalah menerapkan strategi inovasi terhadap produk sehingga dapat berbeda dari produk pesaing kami dan menarik lebih banyak pelanggan. Penelitian ini menentukan hubungan antara strategi inovasi dan keunggulan kompetitif dalam bisnis kerajinan tangan UKM di Bandung. Regresi linear akan digunakan untuk menentukan hubungan ini.

Abstract

Elzatta is one of the subsidiaries of PT Bezaya Group that provides fashion stuff of Muslim women and men. The company has 28 authorized outlets in Indonesia, of which 6 are located in Bandung. Servicescape which was created in the Elzatta’s store or gallery has an important part of the service to consumers that can help to build customer loyalty. With the loyalty that is built, then the consumer will make repeat purchases of the products. This study aims to determine servicescape and customer loyalty as well as the value of the influence of servicescape on customer loyalty Elzatta Bandung. The method used is quantitative research methods. Data analysis method used is the classic assumption test, simple linear regression, simple correlation, coefficient determination test, descriptive statistical tests, and hypothesis testing. Sampling that takes the consumer as much as 104 respondents. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires with Likert scale. The research shows a result that servicescape included in the high/good criteria, with dimensions of the ambient condition, spatial/function; sign; symbol; artifacts, employee. Likewise, customer loyalty shows the results with the high/good criteria on the dimensions of repeat purchase, purchases all lines, retention, referrals. The conclusion of this study is servicescape have an influence on consumer loyalty Elzatta Bandung as 15.8%.

Abstract

In a work environment, employees from the staff level to top management once confront a problem that requires decision-making. Gender is a very influential factor in decision making. Gender defined here is not “gender”. It is the attitudes or attributes of a man or woman that can change over time and working conditions. This study aims to determine the effect of employee gender differences, knowing the ability of employee decision making and to know how much influence gender to decision making in the working environment of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. Purbaleunyi Branch. The research method used is descriptive analysis, classical assumption test, correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, and hypothesis test. The sample in this study were 114 respondents consisting of employees of data processing, staff, up to senior officer. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires and interviewing employees. Based on the results of data, gender and decision making are in good category. The conclusion of this research is gender influence toward decision making 57,3%. Dalam lingkungan kerja, karyawan dari tingkat staf hingga manajemen puncak pernah berhadapan dengan suatu masalah yang membutuhkan pengambilan keputusan. Gender merupakan faktor yang sangat berpengaruh dalam pengambilan keputusan. Gender yang diartikan disini bukanlah “jenis kelamin”. Namun, merupakan sikap atau sifat yang dimiliki seorang pria ataupun wanita yang dapat berubah seiring berjalannya waktu dan kondisi lingkungan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak perbedaan gender karyawan, mengetahui kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karyawan dan mengetahui berapa besar pengaruh gender terhadap pengambilan keputusan di lingkungan kerja PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. Cabang Purbaleunyi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, analisis korelasi, analisis regresi sederhana, dan uji hipotesis. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 114 responden yang terdiri dari karyawan data processing, staf, hingga senior officer. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan mewawancarai karyawan. Berdasarkan hasil olah data, gender dan pengambilan keputusan berada pada kategori baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu adanya pengaruh gender terhadap pengambilan keputusan sebesar 57,3%.

Abstract

This research was conducted on employees at The Office of Regional Operation 2 Bandung PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) with the number of respondents as many as 113 people. This research uses quantitative approach and survey method with the primary data collection technique using a questionnaire. The results of the research indicate that psychological empowerment has a positive and significant effect on job performance. This relationship suggests that if psychological empowerment that employees have a good/high, it will be followed by an increase in job performance and vice versa. These findings are similar to some previous research that states, intrinsic motivation in the form of psychological empowerment have a positive and significant effect on job performance.

Abstract

The fact that human resources (employee) often dominant and play an active role in organization activities is the reason why this study needs to be done. Along with the development of science and knowledge more advanced then the companies are expected to be able to make its employees more skilled and trained in doing its job. One effort that can be done to improve the performance of the company’s employees of such companies is to conduct employee training. This research uses the sampling method sampling with nonprobability saturated, while the techniques of data collection are done by doing a spread of questionnaires to the 110 respondents, The data analysis method in this research tests for assumptions of classical, descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, hypothesis test, and regression analysis. The result obtained in this study that the training provided at PDAM Tirta Bumi Wibawa Sukabumi to employees classified as good or high, performance in PDAM Tirta Bumi Wibawa Sukabumi is also good. Based on the research tha has been done, the regression equation is Y +43.163 + 0.392X. results of the study stated that in PDAM Tirta Bumi Wibawa Kota Sukabumi job training and the performance of the employees have a positive relationship of 0.396 and training work affect the performance of the employees of 15.7% and 84,3% explained by other factors by the salary, work environment, organizational culture, leadership and motivation.

Abstract

Every employee must have experienced job stress. Work stress can give positive effect but if excessive it will cause negative impact especially is on employee performance. Therefore work stress must be prevented and handled. Excessive job stress is also experienced by employees of production department at PT Catur Kartika Jaya which is engaged in making mosquito nets. Therefore this research was made to find out how the job stress faced by employees of the production of PT Catur Kartika Jaya and its influence on the performance of these employees. The results obtained through this study is that there is a strong and significant negative influence on work stress on the performance of production employee in PT Catur Kartika Jaya. Therefore, the authors suggest the company to do socialization about work stress management and various activities outside the work that can rest and refresh the soul and body. Setiap karyawan pasti pernah mengalami stres kerja. Stress kerja bisa memberi efek positif namun jika berlebihan maka akan menimbulkan dampak negatif terutama pada kinerja karyawan. Oleh karena itu stres kerja harus dicegah dan ditangani. Tekanan kerja yang berlebihan juga dialami oleh karyawan departemen produksi di PT Catur Kartika Jaya yang bergerak dalam pembuatan kelambu. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tekanan kerja yang dihadapi karyawan produksi PT Catur Kartika Jaya dan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja karyawan tersebut. Hasil yang diperoleh melalui penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh negatif yang signifikan dan signifikan terhadap stres kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai produksi di PT Catur Kartika Jaya. Oleh karena itu, penulis menyarankan perusahaan untuk melakukan sosialisasi tentang manajemen stres kerja dan berbagai kegiatan di luar pekerjaan yang dapat beristirahat dan menyegarkan jiwa dan raga.

Abstract

Engagement at PT Kertas Padalarang (Persero) and the influence of organizational culture on employee engagement. The dimensions of organizational culture are involvement, consistency, adaptability and mission (Denison on Sobirin, 2009: 191). The dimensions of employee engagement are vigor, dedication and absorption (Schaufeli and Bakker, 2003: 5). The sample of this research as much as 151 respondents consists of supervisor, assistant supervisor, main operator, operator, and others (honorary and contract employees) which spreads in accounting, finance, R & D, logistic, marketing, human resources, internal control unit, engineering and production department. The method which used in this research is quantitative research methods. Data analysis method which used are descriptive analysis, classic assumption test, regression analysis, correlation analysis and hypothesis testing. Based on the results, organizational culture is currently in the good category, compare to employee engagement that is still in the moderate category. The relation of organizational culture and employee engagement currently are on strong category. The Regression equation in this research is Y=8,655+0,651X. Therefore, the influence of organizational culture on employee engagement amounted to 45,4%.

Abstract

CV Yrama Widya is publishers and printing company of subject and public schools. The company has 116 permanent employees. There is a problem at CV Yrama Widya is the lack of organizational citizenship behavior of employees which one contributing factor is the lack of leadership roles serving on the company. Based on these problems, this study aims to determine the servant leadership and organizational citizenship behavior, as well as the magnitude of the effect of servant leadership on organizational citizenship behavior at CV Yrama Widya. The method used is quantitative research methods. Data analysis methods used are descriptive statistical analysis, the classical assumption test, simple correlation analysis, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that servant leadership is in the category both in terms of love, empowerment, vision, humility, and trust. Then the employee organizational citizenship behavior was in the category both in terms of the behavior of altruism, conscientiousness, Sportsmanship, courtesy, and civic virtue. In conclusion, there is the influence of servant leadership on organizational citizenship behavior of employees at CV Yrama Widya amounted to 59.1%.

Abstract

This study examines the company's performance appraisal, employee’s organizational commitment and the influence of organizational commitment on employee’s performance appraisal in PT Indonesia Power UBP Suralaya. The dataset encompasses observations using questionnaire (195 respondents). The methods of analysis in this research are classical assumption test, descriptive analysis, correlation, linear regression, and test hypotheses using the SPSS program. Research results show that the performance appraisal is already good, and organizational commitment of employees are already high. There is a strong link between performance appraisal with the organizational commitment of employees. The influence of performance appraisal has a positive effect for 46.6% on the organizational commitment of employees while the rest 53.4% is affected by other factors such as job satisfaction, job characteristics and other factors which are not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research is to know the influence of organizational culture on employee performance division of account executive PT Agrodana Futures. PT Agrodana Futures is a futures trading company specializing in foreign exchange trading of Asian stock indices. The influencing variables are the organizational culture with dimensions that refer to Cameron and Quinn (2006) ie clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy. While the variables that are influenced is the performance of employees with dimensions that refer to the Dharma (2003) namely the quality of work, the quantity of work, and timeliness. The method of this research is descriptive quantitative by using nonprobability sampling technique that is saturated sampling. The results showed that organizational culture has a mean value of 4.444 and employee performance with a mean value of 4.3670 which means both are in the very good category. Meanwhile, the organizational culture of account executive division at PT Agrodana Futures gives 26.3% influence on employee performance.
