Abstract

The Telaga Wama Natural Reserve (CATWA) at Bogor Regency, West Java Province is a biodiversity conservation area, however, the changed of some of the area's functions into a Nature Tourism Park can affect the quality of its ecosystem. One approach to evaluate ecosystem quality is through the analysis of Anura species diversity. The continuity of the Anuras eggs and larvae is influenced by the presence of pollutants in the waters. The availability of Anura species diversity database can be an indication of the aquatic ecosystem quality at CATWA. This research was conducted using the Visual Encounter Survey method at five sampling locations in CATWA, namely river, lake, swamp, forest pond, and waterfall. Observations of tadpoles were carried out twice a week, for four weeks, accompanied by physical-chemical measurements of the waters, namely DO, BOD, COD, temperature, pH, depth, and turbidity. The Anura diversity database is made up of a time series, combining of this study result, and previous reports. This study had identified 10 species of tadpoles from six Anura families, namely Dicroglossidae, Megophyridae, Ranidae, Bufonidae, Rhachoporidae and Microhylidae. The level of species diversity is moderate (H'=2.29). Turbidity and water temperature have the highest correlation with species diversity. The water quality in CATWA was relatively good, and able to support the life of Anura. This is also evidenced by the presence of species representatives from all Anura families in Java Island.

Abstract

Water is a source of life that must exist in human life. Water supply crises have hit a lot due to drought disasters from the dry season. Drought is a disaster that occurs slowly due to changes in weather patterns that last a long time. A village that is located in Kediri Regency, namely Butuh Village has experienced a drought. Efforts that must be made can help reduce the impact of extreme climate change disasters. So, this article is used to add insight into the efforts and solutions that can be implemented. Respondents in the study were sixteen respondents with ten respondents who experienced the dry season, five people came to each house for observation. The results of the analysis that the author conducted through interviews resulted in a process carried out by the community by drilling wells and five people using bucket wells. However, if the drilling of wells by means of continuous deepening of the ground hole can have a dangerous impact on the environment. So, the authors provide another solution by making biopores in each house.

Abstract

Open Dumping and inadequate landfill management and waste management have negative impacts on the community. Failure to manage waste in Metro City is not only due to technical weaknesses, lack of financial support, inefficient management agencies, and inappropriate systems can cause Emotional Mental Disorders (GME) as well as densely populated settlements, slums, poor ventilation, damaged house buildings, damp and moldy walls of houses, to the presence of pests around the house can cause anxiety to mental disorders. Researchers evaluated the presence of landfills in 23 Karang Rejo Metro cities, so that the existence of landfill can be in accordance with the prevailing rules. The research method used is qualitative, researchers decipher words in the opinion of respondents descriptively. In addition to interviews, to strengthen the data sought, researchers took pictures and made observations to the community with inter-community interactions, how people live environmental and social lives. Garbage disposal technology has developed, one of the development of the waste disposal method is the Sanitary Landfill method, with the Reusable Sanitary Landfill (RSL) model. The way the supply method works is that the garbage is stacked in a land, then the garbage can is compacted as a ground liner. Ground liners are coated with geomembranes, this layer that will withstand the pervasiveness of lindi into the soil and contaminate groundwater. On top of the geomembrane layer is another geotextile that serves to hold the dirt so that it does not mix with lindi water. The limitations of perspective in the study because the study lies in the small sample, it is suggested it is necessary to do more research by comparing some cases with different concepts.
